candy!x0x0 I'm sorry, I don't want to change the subject on you. BUT should we start decorating our common room? Any ideas on how to do it? Maybe we should start making all of our writing blue with a fancy font, thats all the same, so its like a Ravenclaw thing? I don't know, but any ideas???? If you mean for the holiday thing, it's already decorated - but it's the Ravenclaw Common room in the Yule subforum. Please take a look and let me know what you think!

Not yet, but we will once it's done. I have to finish updating the first post and then find out what LHH wants us to do for the yule event.. It might not open up for posting until that starts.

Man.. USC lost in the last seconds in the game and AL is trailing by 3 points (and it's not looking too hopeful).. At least the Gators won - but they aren't even my team. sad
Rough night so far. Darn football!

To add to that...the Chargers aren't doing well at all this year. My family is so mad because of that. So sorry that I haven't been on for the past few days, I've been terribly busy with family functions and such. Since school is starting tomorrow I will be online more. I'm so happy though that I finally have an i-Pod! I bought one on Black Friday and well I saved up for it and so my christmas list is done and over with. Have we started the yule gifting? If so..tell me. I'm confused...how do we get in the common room?? I know the riddle...but yeah..so confused. The HP DVD is coming out dec. 10!

Just letting you know, I'm going to be a bit scarce until Saturday, Dec 1 a bit too many tasks in the real world to take care of til then. I'll post House points then as well-let's keep Ravenclaw in the lead! I'm unlocking the Yule thread to for ideas. The Ravenclaw Common Room Decorating thread is for decorating - look for blue and bronze, eagles, anything that honors Ravenclaw. It's not designed for chatting as it's open to other houses to look in and see. I'm looking for 3 outside judges to come in and judge the best - Winner will get 25 House points! Orna, you've done a magnificent job!!! You decide - do you want Ravenclaws to PM you first with their ideas for decorating so you can coordinate, or just to go ahead and post? I'm making a similar public announcement in the Great Hall and also the Welcome Accio thread. Go ahead and continue to PM Accio with great thread and posts nominations- you get 10 points if your nominee is chosen and is not a Ravenclaw; they'll get 5. Be sure to say WHY you think it's outstanding (and explanations come naturally to Ravenclaws). Have a great week - see you Saturday, tho I'll try to check in a few times mid week! Love, LHH P.S. Mirror of Erised Gifting thread -Secret Santa will open Saturday, Dec. 1

Not that I doubt my house-mates decorating skills, but we're all different people with different tastes. smile
I'd LOVE some images and whatnot though, and I'm glad that you think that it's great thus far. With the new information, I'll be editing the thread a tad.

I'm doing fantastic - how're you holding up?
On another note - given what LHH posted yesterday, I went through and did some edits on the yule thread. Here is the Yule Ravenclaw Common Room - tell me what you think (PLEASE!) and if you have any decorations that you think would go great, please PM them to me.
Puh-lease go check it out. Don't post in it though, just admire/critique. We want to win!

Anyway.. Back to the question about what makes us the most happy, and why.
Well, I thought about my answer quite hard. And eventually, I came to the solution.
Nothing, makes me more happy, then to see that I've managed to make my mother laugh, or to cheer up a friend in distress.
The reason? Well, it lies far back into the very beginning of my childhood.
I was kept out a lot. So I didn't have anyone to play with. But when my friend and her friend had a fight... It was always me she came to. I talked with her and comforted her. And when she and her friend has made up, things went back to being normal again.
Perhaps one of the reasons might be, because I learned that my when my friends were in distress, I wouldn't be alone? Though I doubt that's the main reason. I remember how happy I felt, when I'd been some kind of peacemaker. I remember how thrilled I felt when she told me how she felt.
Because that meant she trusted me. I loved that feeling. When your friends are open with you, it means that you have their trust.
The fact that she trusted me, was the greatest comfort of all.
And so, I love when I can get my friends to smile. Or ease their distress. Because that means that they trust me. And nothing else can make me feel happier. Nothing else can make me feel that welcome in their presence.
It's the best feeling. Helping people, and gaining their trust. It gives you a warm feeling.
And that is when I'm at my happiest.
(Oh and Ravenclaws? Let's start posting here! How about we get our post count higher then those Slytherin's and Gryffindor's? So come on! Post!)

I understand how you say that helping people makes you happiest - I love the feeling at the end of the day knowing that I've helped people that day. smile
So how's life Kitsune?
