I carried a dead spider in my bare hand to the trashcan today without freaking out! Go me! I WILL get over this phobia!
I also cried while watching Beauty and the Beast. But it's Disney. And that is such an awesome movie.

Book-loving girl whose father is an engineer dislikes the shallow, overly-masculine types. She encounters a person who is antisocial and more than a little unattractive, hates him at first, then loves him. Because of this relationship, she ends up with her prince.
THAT MOVIE IS ABOUT ME!

TheQualityofMercy O.o?
Lucca's into overgrown body hair? I'm not a furry anymore...Nah, it had less to do with Beast's hairiness and more to do with his being an antisocial, less-than-attractive a*****e at first.

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite of the Disney movies. It has a strong heroine who is brave and intelligent. It has a strong hero who is all angsty and awesome and fights for his love. I love it.
You also notice more when you're older. Sophie and I were laughing our asses off at some parts of it that we never noticed when we were younger. It's great. That, The Lion King, and Lilo and Stitch are my favorites.
Anyways, I spent six hours today learning how to make an Irish léine, which is a type of very early period dress, circa 700 AD. I made the underdress which has long sleeves, goes to my ankles, and is blue with yellow trim on the sleeve hems. I also made the overgown of really deep red which is basically a big circle of fabric and pins over the shoulders with big obnoxious brooches. I need to go shopping. I need obnoxious trim and thread to do embroidery with. And obnoxious jewelry. The Irish-Gauls were very fond of loud clothing. I am going to have to edit this at some point.
