I can relate to being depressive. It becomes especially hard when I am forced to pull 10 hour shifts like I have done thrice this week. Tonight . . . I explained to one manager about spoon theory, in an effort to show her how I feel during hour 10 of that shift. How I was drastically low on spoons. We laughed a bit about using spoons to describe our situations. Then my personal supervisor said I had to stay late to make one last order that came in at 4:59 (I left at 5). So low on mental resources (spoons) was I that my reaction was to grab a handful of disposable spoons, walk over to her, and literally throw them at her.
She was dumbfounded. The one that I had explained it to had to run to the bathroom saying she was going to pee herself laughing that I actually did it.

Yeah, now that I'm done w/ my 19 months of overtime, I'm amazed how nice leaving work at the office is and how much better my outlook is on average.
I hadn't heard of spoon theory before; interesting metaphor. I use caffeine to combat that, but it has it limits (I had to "recover" over the weekends during my overtime, and toward the end i couldn't pull more than 9 hour days and thus worked over the weekends regularly, which became taxing to the extreme w/ the scant sleep i got).

Meanwhile, up here it is back down into the 20s at the hottest part of the day. Melting is not really happening here. Lots of ice on the roads, I have to be extra careful.

It got to like, 70, yesterday.
And now there's snow in the forecast for Wednesday.

Still doing the sporadic flurries here.
On other news, my 16yo kiddo is "peer pressuring" her friends into trying out RP tabletop with me as running. It might be great, might be a failure. We shall see what happens. It will be my Riders campaign all over again.

January thaw in here in New England, but February is likely to ramp up the snow & cold again.
If it gets organized, I hope that goes well for you all, Magni.

Yeah, we had a day or three of thaw, but then back to single-digit temps again. This winter is really brutal.
