Lore let Elnara stay close, walking carefully so they wouldn't take a trip and fall. Seeing as they were going out a mountain at the moment.
"It's still the culture you grew up with, it means a lot to you," he murmured, "No matter if that is the culture of other people, it is also yours no matter what people say."
He wished he had that, he didn't really have anything to offer the children that came from his own people.

Elnara nodded slowly and looked up the mountain once more.
"I just wish there was a way to filter what he learned," she murmured. "I want him to learn ... the good things, but not ... their habits."
She declined to name her brothers, or the habits she didn't want Celebor to gain.

"Is there anyway to assign primary mentors?" Lore asked curiously not knowing how her world worked, it was obviouisly not a school style system, "There has to be someone you trust to help him and teach him."
If he had people that had control over his education Lore was sure Celebor would be alright.

"Only my brother, Gion," Elnara replied without hesitation. "I wouldn't trust him to anyone else. But no one knows where Gion is, Ulani and Ulrich haven't heard from him in a few years ..."
Her brow furrowed in sudden worry. "They said he was traveling," she murmured softly. "I hope nothing happened to him ... Ulani said it's more dangerous to travel now than it has ever been ... especially alone ..."
And though she knew he had a rather unique sword with him (containing no one less than her own adoptive grandfather, Kara's father), he was still physically alone.

Lore's eyes lowered thinking about that, he hoped Gion was alright, even though he didn't know this brother of hers, he was the only one she ever talked fondly of. So for her sake he hoped that Gion was alright.
"Well... if you still really want to do this, we'll spend a week or two there, you can get to know better who'll be teaching him, and then you can decide if you're comfortable enough. Who knows, maybe someone there might know where he is."

"I hope so," Elnara nodded. She slid one arm around his side and squeezed him lightly in a hug, then smiled up at him.
"I don't know how I would do any of this ... even come here, without you," she told him honestly, gratefully. "I've been gone more than half a year ... but it was still unbearable, the thought of returning, even for a visit, without you."

"If you change your mind, you can," Lore reminded her, "But see what can happen," he murmured, "We'll see, I'll be with you every step of the way."
He smiled down at her, he hoped things will turn out better for her. He had hope for her, there were good people here and who knew good people back there.

A while later, when they were nearing the top of the mountain, Skye suddenly took her hand out of Elnara's and danced ahead - literally. Little hops, skips, twirls and ... whatever ... hands out, and giggling, she raced ahead of the others, heading for the plateau just ahead and the house that was sitting there. Elnara laughed softly. "It's amazing, how much energy she can still have," she murmured.

Lore chuckled whispering to her, "Seeing the end of a walk can give anyone enough energy to make it all the way."
He recalled feeling like that at times after getting out of the library just thinking about the cafe and being there gave him the boost of energy to get there at all. If it weren't for knowing she could be there, he might have just gone home and crashed on his futon.

Elnara laughed softly. "I guess I'm just not used to having a destination," she whispered back, though she wasn't sure why they were whispering; "I've always been a wanderer."
Up on Lore's shoulders, the twins were growing impatient.
"Put us down, Papa!" Storm urged Lore.
"Yes! We want to go inside!" Starr agreed, bouncing a bit.

"Alright," Lore laughed a bit as he helped the twins down, "Now be careful not to trip," he warned the two of them knowing that at times they were just as excitable as Celebor.
He sighed a bit, he always had a destination at mind, well sort of... for the most part.

Storm and Starr shot off after Skye, running rather than dancing, and soon they had passed her completely and were still rushing towards the house at full speed.
Elnara watched them until she heard Lore sigh, then turned her eyes to him worriedly. "Are you all right?" she asked him anxiously, brushing some of his hair away from his face.

"Just thinking," Lore murmrued though he hated to use the very words that Elnara used often enough.
He liked to be the one who didn't need to think about the past, but it crept up on him like a snake sometimes though.

Elnara gazed up into his eyes, reading the sadness there. She didn't know what was causing it, though she thought she might have an idea, and she wished that he would at least talk to her about it. After all, he encouraged her to do the same ...
But she wouldn't pressure him. Instead she just reached up and kissed his chin softly.
"I might not be able to help you," she murmured softly, putting one hand against his cheek gently, "but you shouldn't bear the pain alone."

Lore's eyes softened as he smiled down upon her worried face and knew he really shouldn't keep things from her. It was hypocrtical at best and probably not good for his health at worse.
"Sometimes I think about the past," he murmured softly, "But not often."
