Chloe had turned her attention back to her gauntlets. She figured that was enough testing them out for now, "Just hope I can get the hang of them," she muttered, as Saku yawned, nodding absently in agreement. Chloe made a note that fire seemed to have no effect on the gauntlets. She reasoned that electricity and water would have the same effect, but she decided to leave that for another day.
"Hey, guys?" she called, "I'm gonna go head back up topside for a bit," she explained with a smile, "I'd like to get a bit more training in, but I think I'll do it back out in the sunlight." The mines were getting a bit old for her.
"If ya need me, just call," she grinned, as she scooped up Lilie, earning a growl from Saku, who was promptly returned to her Pokeball.

"C'mon, Entreri," Chloe called, as the Weavile followed along behind her, still grumbling. She retraced her steps through the mines, making her way towards the exit. Apparently about halfway back, Lilie caught a whiff of something that didn't quite agree with her as she sneezed, poisonous spores flaring around the Chikorita for a brief moment. She sniffled, before realizing that she had learned a new attack.

Entreri gave Chloe the warning as he sensed the mine floor shaking with the rumble of the approaching Onix. Chloe nodded, before looking to Lilie, "Wanna try a battle?" she asked the Chikorita. Lilie considered it for a moment, before smiling with a nod, sure, sounded interesting!
Chloe set Lilie down as the Chikorita danced a few paces, trotting lightly as she waited for the Onix to get within range. She was a bit impatient to get started, but didn't jump the gun. As soon as the Onix was close enough, Lilie stomped down with her small front feet, as vines erupted from the floor. A single golden flower bloomed, but then shot at the Onix, exploding upon impact.
The Onix roared, falling backwards with the force of the explosion, to lay crumpled on the side of the mineshaft.
Lilie giggled, she liked that move!
Chloe blinked, "Oookay, looks like I don't need to get the Potions ready," she laughed, "Awesome job for your first fight!"

Lilie nodded, before trotting along happily behind Chloe and Entreri as they neared the entrance to the mines. Lilie and Chloe picked up the pace as they saw the shaft of sunlight at the end. Entreri took his time, meandering to the exit as well.
"Phew, good to be back outside again, huh?" Chloe grinned. She had to admit, she didn't really like being in caves for all that long. Lilie had similar feelings. The Chikorita happily pranced in the sand, soaking up the sun, feeling much better now that they were outside.
"Guess its safe to call everyone out for a bit," Chloe decided, as the rest of her Pokemon followed from their Pokeballs and out onto the beach. She didn't think her dragons would like being in the cramped mines too much.
