"Tori-san?" Kei said with a frown as he hugged Mai-lin tighter. I wonder why she had his picture. Does that mean she was in the Wave country when the slaughter happened? "You can't break apart siblings, Mai-lin. Even now, he's still your brother."

Mai-lin nodded. "Thank you, Kei." Hse wipped her eyes and hugged him. "Thanks for helping me. You and Yuhi-sna have been helping me a lot and you guys barely know me." She smiled slihgtly, still hugging Kei. "And I know but...I would have had to share him... ANd I don't know if I coulda." SHe laughed a little to let Kei know she was joking.

Kei scowled at his brothers name. "Yuhi was probably helping you because he wanted something." He gave her a smile. "I'm glad to see you've calmed down a bit. I don't like seeing people cry." He said as he looked up at the sky.

Mai-lin sighed and shook her head. "Yuhi-san was just being nice. Do you not like him that much? He seems very nice to me but you keep getting angry about him. You told me before that he helped you train...so why do you get so angry about him?"

Mai-lin laughed. "Is Pei-kun jelous?" She smiled at him. "Don't wory. I'll always like you more then him." She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, licking him at the same time. When she pulled back her face was flushed. "Oh...I'm sorry!"

Kei felt like he would catch on fire any moment from being so embarrassed. He looked at Mai-lin with wide eyes. "W-why'd you do that!" He then looked away and began mumbling under his breath. She kissed me...then she licked me...weird. But she kissed me! Does that mean she likes me?
"It's better as long as it doesn't cause problems." Yuhi said and stopped outside the Hokages door. "Er, you're Jounin, you should go in first."

"I doubt it was meant to cause problems, it just happens to do so." She glanced at him, sighing. "Little scardy cats first, Yuhi-san." She poked him slightly, grinning softly.

He made a face. "I'm not scared, just a little nervous." Yuhi said and opened the door, then smiled. "I never thought you'd allow yourself to become second to a man, Anekio. Or am I just special?"

"Same thing, just not as serious." She chuckled quietly. "Perhaps, or it could be because I don't want to be the one yelled at for running late." Anekio smirked nudging him a little to move forward.

Yuhi rolled his eyes as he went into the Hokages office. She's such a pain! he thought as he went over and stood in front of the Hokage. "Hokage-sama, Sarutobi Yuhi reporting in. As you can see, I did find Anekio-san but I was unable to find Tori-san. The ANBU are currently investigating the scene and my father is with them."
The Hokage nodded and looked at Anekio. "I would like you to tell me anything you've found out while fighting the intruders. From what I understand, the leader should be dead as well but is not."

"Aparently they are of Jounin ranking, but appear to be rogue ninja. They were attacking a new Genin that lives around these parts, but he isn't in any of our documents. Also, from what I could tell, they were able to sneak into the Village unnoticed by our gate watchers." She explained, seeming perfectly serious as she stared straight at the Hokage.

Mai-lin was looking down at her hands. "I...I don't know. I"m really sorry, Kei! Please don't be mad at me!" The 14-year-old looked up. "I really am sorry! I just wanted to make you feel better after you helped me...I'm sorry!"

"No, it's okay. I just...wasn't expecting you to do that." Kei gave her a smile and rubbed his cheek where he was kissed. "Do all Inuzukas lick people like that? I know you work with dogs but I didn't think you acted that much like one."
The Hokage nodded as he took in the information. "I want you and Tori to try to find where the leader of the group went. If you find him, bring him back here alive for questioning. I will send an ANBU member after you for when you locate the leader. Is there anything else I should know before you go? I'd like you to leave first thing tomorrow morning."
Yuhi said nothing but gave Anekio a look that said 'please'.
