Kohki remained on the ground, he could barely get up. He got up, slowly.
I won't let anyone smack me around.. he told himself.
He took his stance, and got ready to do the technique again.

[Wow... I've had a lot of 20's between yesterday and tosay! O.O Im so happy crying ]
The clone came at him, at the fastest speed Kohki had seen her go. She moved to his back, at the last minute, Kohki noticed. Then, she jumped, and attempted a kick from above. Kohki waved his arm over him, making the clone crash-land on the floor, as it did, it became water.
I did it... I learned the open palm... he thought with a serious expression on his face.
After that, he felt very tired, and decided to go home.

His goal was simple: To learn the Dodging Palm Jutsu before the genin exams. By then, his teammates and him will be forced to take on tougher missions, maybe even C-ranked since Kusagakure had so few active shinobi. Shinichi wanted to be the first of his generation to accomplish this task so he sped back and rushed the clones once more, taking care to balance footwork and spots at the same time.

If he could keep this up, Shinichi should be able to master the steps soon. He dreamt big and skidded to a stop at the original position, ready to go once more. The training had become easier as he combined his experiences both here and during the classes. However, this was still a challenge that would test the limits of his patience and ability. Shinichi crouched, then set off at a fast pace, looking to see that hidden shuriken.

Shinichi hadn't had this run of good luck for a while, but he still had to be careful. He searched the tree and found the slight gleam of metal as sunlight reflected off the shuriken, then bounded back. This training had not taken as much a toll on his body as he had previously thought, but he was still tried from the sheer concentration it required. Shinichi braced himself, then took off on a running start, glancing upwards to hopefully see the prize.

[Now that I'm not as busy, at least not for a few hours, maybe I can get this training done.]
Still running forward, Drakyn formed the last seal and jumped as high as he could into the air. He spread his arms as the two shimmering wings of jutsu formed. Just as he began to fall, the winds spread themselves open, and sifted into a glide. After another second or two, and they pushed downward, causing him to rise.

There was no time to waste by moping! Shinichi breathed in the clean air and stretched his legs briefly before rushing off again. He scratched dirt with his toes and glanced upwards. Motivation... motivation. This had sounded easy at first, but the chances seemed very slim that he would succeed. It was possible, though, and that was all that mattered. Shinichi rebounded and attempted this training again.

Drakyn was a good ways up now, and the wings spread out as he floated lazily along, enjoying that sense of freedom. The cool breaze and good veiw tempted him to just float along like this for as long as he could, but he had a reason for all of this. With a soft sigh, the wings gave one last push up then folded in as he leaned forward.

Drakyn picked up speed as he grew closer and closer to the grass covered ground. Just about ten feet from that ground, the wings opened wide, pulling sharply to change the direction. His path went straight down, curving moving flat along the ground with about a foot between him and the grass below. He hadn't really meant to cut it that close, but it worked, and he was now moving very quickly toward the edge of the bamboo forest.

One day he would be able to complete this training, no matter how long it takes. Sure, there was a slim chance of success, but there was still that chance! If he managed to learn this jutsu, through all the pain, Shinichi had very little doubt that it would put him ahead of all the other students, genin or not. Afterall, academy students typically learned only the basic jutsus and he knew that there were even fewer that put as much work into each try as he did.

Kohki came back for his last lesson on the open palm. He was eager to finaly learn it. He sat by a tree and waited for the Kusakage, or probably another clone. After this lesson, he would no longer have to come here for the open palm lessons, but to learn other jutsus, hopefully his clan's jutsus.. the mushi bunshin, the mushi yose, the mushi kabe, mushi kame, kikaichu arare and kikaichu tsumoji, after those were learned, he would be a great ninja. He looked around to see if the Kage was here yet... nope, but it was ok... it gave Kohki time to prepare for whatever he was to do today with the kage.

Shinichi took a moment to regain his breath, his mind wandering back to his lessons with Koro-sensei. It truly surprised him how one man could be so patient with such a wide variety of different students and personalities. He was, no doubt, one of the best teachers around, only matched by Tenmoki-kage herself. Plus, how many sensei now were willing to spar with a renegade like him? The only thing Shinichi had disagreed with was his policy of stopping a fight before anybody fainted. A true ninja should be pushed to his limits, but then again, more training could be accommodated when he was still standing. Shinichi thanked Kami-sama and rushed the clones.

As he neared the edge of the bamboo forest, Drakyn pulled the wings hard up, causing him to rise a bit. Drakyn then quickly forced them forward, causing him to slowdown greatly, coming to a near stop. However, he had forced one wing harder than the other, causing him to do a half turn, after which, he pushed the wings hard in the same direction, causing him to speed up, now heading in the opposite direction as before. It took a bit of concentration, but Drakyn was tarting to feel like he was getting the hang of it.

One more success, one more hope for a new day. Shinichi quickly glanced at the shuriken and ran back. Sometimes, when he couldn't take any more of the problems with his social life, he would often go out into the forest or fields to escape from the pressures. There, where everything was calm and logical, he would stay until the sun rose or he was able to return. Shinichi recalled it all, then tried the training again.

But, everytime he got so close, they struck him down again. Sometimes Shinichi doubted whether this jutsu was worth it, but he could never bring himself to give up. That... that would render utterly useless his hard work for the first stage of the Dodging Palm Jutsu, as well as parts of his efforts for his stage. Plus, he would fall behind Aya-san and lose the trust of the Kusakage-sama. That will not happen! Shinichi growled and charged the clones, concentrating on spotting that hidden shuriken.
