soloft I've got a Bach Stradivarius and a King. What size mouthpieces do y'all use? I have 2 7C's that came with both of my trumpets. But I bought a regular 3C for marching band and a 3C Bach megatone for concert band.

EViLgerbilz soloft My schools' band is playing Star Wars this year for our Marching show. What are y'alls schools playing? Star Wars, eh? We play Vader's theme in the stands, but I think I'm going to work on convincing my director to let us play a medley of songs from the movies. Anyhoo, the show we're working on now is classic rock. We're doing 25 or 6 to 4, Carry on My Wayward Son (a trumpet feature. w00t!), and tomorrow we start the drill for Pinball Wizard. That's cool.

We have the Star Wars: Main Title to play, Princess Leia's theme, and The Finale (Vader's theme). We also do a block marching drill with a Cantina Band song. In the stands we play all the rock songs. We most of the time play I Saw The Light, Barbara Ann, Hey Baby, The Hey song, and Proud Mary. Do y'all do block marching or the loop marching stuff?

I use a B4 or something...I can't really remember. I also have an old-school mouthpiece that adjusts to whatever I want it to be.

soloft Yeah, I got a 3C too. It's alot easier to hit high notes with isn't it? Also makes the sound less whiny, a little more dark and full sound. A little bit easier, but I'm also a little sharp with it. My high C sounds better on a 5B, imo. We're playing music from the musical Wicked. (: Our Section Leader handed out some stand music that only the trumpets play. : D We got Eye of the Tiger, Zip A Dee, and Looney Tunes. woot. EViLgerbilz- Do you live in Texas, by any chance?

We get to play one fun song everyonce in a while: "Pretty Fly For A White Guy" by The Offspring. You ever played Zoot Suit Riot? There's a fun song there. Oh, Grandioso and Carrolton March are fun too. I dont' know about EViLgerbilz, but I live in Texas. Why, do you?

Isn't the best mouth piece an A or something? I'm gonna try and get a good one. The only problem is that people get really shallow bowls in order to play higher, and they end up having a really whiny sound. As long as people develope their omishers, then any mouth piece should be good!
