Merrick -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi snickered as she slid from the bushes in her human form. "I like it here," she said rather bluntly with a grin on her face. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán chuckled. "It's too bad humanity would try to spoil this if they knew of it and demons would likely do worse," he said softly as his eyes scanned around, seeing a narrow path leading away from them. -_-_-_-_-_- Jess chuckled as she slipped out of the bushes before she pushed off, swiftly scaling her way up the tree until she could see the distant Abby known to its residents as Redwall before she somersaulted off, landing a few feet from Amelia. "It's probably at most a brisk two hour hike to the Abbey. I'm sure they'll be surprised at some of us," she said with a grin as Hobbs chuckled, her eyes on both Merrick and Cassandra; she was surprised at the silvery hair he now had and wondered how he'd gotten it, because it was quite beautiful.

Kaosujin Ryu sorry my posts are bleh today...baby is being really really fussy today "Then it's a good thing they cannot get here," Cassandra said with a smile. She pointed the path. "We go this way if I am not mistaken.""Doesn't sound too bad," Amelia said as her head tilted to the side slightly. "So how about we get started on this little hike? I can't wait to see this place." She grinned a little as Nala's nose twitched. "Alright, let's go," Constance said with a huge grin on her face.

Alede OOC- Meh, it can be put in two words: 's**t Happens'. gonk Merrick tilted his head as he chuckled, walking a few paces before he cocked his head slightly, his ears twitching slightly as he paused momentarily. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi tilted her head as she unconsciously shifted into her humanoid vulpine form though her fur was a deep shade of golden brown much like amber while her hair remained its natural crimson. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán shrugged as he started walking after Jess. "At least there aren't giant rats around," he muttered. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs chuckled. "Of course; it's either that way or take a swim," he said with an amused tone, tilting his head as he leaned a couple of branches aside to reveal they were inside a small grove of trees at the bend of the river. Jess rolled her eyes. "Standing here talking won't get us there faster, Hobbs," she said with a chiding tone as she started walking.

Kaosujin Ryu crap gotta go...you can reply if you want or wait..I may be able to edit later Cassandra chuckled as she followed after Lorcan. She took in the scene, loving every minute of it. Beautiful place, wonderful company and just a peaceful time. She was excited to be here again. To see the place again. Amelia laughed as she shook her head. "I am sure Nala wouldn't like the swim. So I think we'll just take the path." She grinned as she followed after Nala who followed Lorcan and Cassandra. "Ooh, I think she's trying to rush you," Merida said with a wink at Hobbs. Her hair swung from side to side as she followed after the others. She hummed softly to herself.

Merrick shrugged as he kept walking fluidly, unconsciously shifting into a lope that he noticed had Jess unintentionally glancing back at him with a blush. He thought it would surprise Constance what he had in mind. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi was following a pace or two behind Amelia and Nala. "It's a beautiful land," she murmured. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán kept his eyes scanning around, noticing how the trees and fruit seemed utterly normal, albeit the trees were quite a bit larger, rivaling redwoods in size though clearly they were the more common pine, birch, maple and pecan trees. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs shrugged. "Most people try to rush me, and don't ever doubt when it's necessary that Caesar Hobbs can't move quickly when it is needed," he said with a half smile.

Constance watched as Merrick soon went from walking fluidly beside her to a lope. The smile on her face grew, loving how he seemed so carefree and at ease here. She felt at ease here as well. There was just something about this place that made one feel at peace. She took a deep breath, taking in the sunshine and slight breeze. "Yes, it is very beautiful here," Amelia said as she walked gracefully with Nala slightly ahead of her. "It is too bad our home does not look like this. Oh I am sure it did many, many years ago...but that was before mankind came around and changed everything."Merida chuckled as she glanced over her shoulder at Hobbs. "I have no doubt you can move quickly when it is needed. Leisurely strolls are nice. Especially when you don't have people trying to kill you."

Merrick's gauntleted hand flashed up as a blur shot from the nearby river, snatching something out of the air before a boistrous voice spoke loudly, clearly amused. "Nice ta see yer reflexes ain't waned, lad. Ya've grown a fair bit ta boot," it said. Merrick cocked his head as he paused several paces ahead of the group. "Looks like you've grown too, Stonelily," he said with amusement. The speaker he referred to was a large 5' 9" female otter on a handcarved canoe with a sling in one forepaw. She had deep brownish black fur, a dark green vest with a black woven belt and a couple of pouches on it as well as a dull brown bandana holding back her raven hair. She shrugged. "Can't stay a youngbeast forevah, lad. It's obvious ya ain't 'lone, so why don'tcha introduce 'em?" she said with amusement. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi chuckled throatily. "Why do you think the few lucky enough to find gateways leading here call it the 'Fae' realm? Because of its natural, unspoiled beauty, though there is an illusion upon most of the gateways that cause the people to see what they expect to see and not what's really here," she said with amusement. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán blinked when he heard the boistrous female voice as Merrick paused, staring towards the river. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs chuckled. "Very true, though I know the Long Patrol usually go quickly when they are training to build endurance," he said with a half smile.

Constance watched as Merrick spoke with the female otter. It was interesting seeing others besides Hobbs and Jess. She still couldn't believe this place existed. She pushed her hair behind her ear as the female asked for Merrick to introduce all of them. Amelia nodded slowly as Kasumi spoke. This place needed to remain completely untouched by mankind's hands. It was an honor that they were allowed here in the first place. Her stance shifted as soon as Nala saw the otter female. For some reason her familiar always had the urge to Chase these creatures. "Dont even think about it Nala. If you do I will box you behind your ears." Nala meowed and stayed put, her whiskers twitching. Cassandr's gaze went to the river and her smile widened. Another from this realm so soon! Merida chuckled softly as everyone came to a stop by the river. Her head tilted to the side as she saw the woman on the handcarved log.

Merrick tilted his head slightly. "I'm sure you remember Cassandra, though I've found quite a bit about myself since our parting. Of course, Amelia's the one with the feline familiar," he said with a shrug. A bark followed as Haname leaped onto his shoulder from the trees. He blinked, somewhat surprised she'd followed them without their knowing it. "The others are Merida, Carolyn, Lorcán, and of course those closest to me... my mate Constance and my Okāsan Kasumi," he said with a shrug. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi cocked an eyebrow, but remained quiet. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán cocked his head, noticing the fluidity of how the otterswain's muscles shifted beneath the dark fur, making it very obvious that she wasn't animatronic. -_-_-_-_-_-

"It is a pleasure to meet you," Constance said with a smile. Her cheeks were flushed with the excitement of being here and the fact that Merrick had called her his mate in front of everyone. Oh she knew they probably suspected already, but she was excited none the less. "Stonelily, such a pleasure to see you again," Cassandra said with a wide smile as she stepped into view. She could feel Merida's, Amelia's and Carolyn's gaze on her. She had never told them about being here before. She would have to explain to them how and why she came to this place. Although she was sure Amelia would figure it out soon enough. "Well we keep learning new things everyday," Merida said with a chuckle.

Stonelily grinned before she spoke. "Ya've grown a lot, Cassie," she said with ammusement. She tilted her head as she looked at Constance, thoughtful before she nodded, apparently liking the choice in mates. Merrick cocked his head fractionally as he heard rustling, hearing Haname's low growl. "I've noticed it as well," he murmured. He shifted his weight as he heard the twang as he shifted his weight, his hand slapping the arrow aside sharply, snapping it off cleanly just behind the arrowhead. "Subtlety was never your strong point, Skinpaw; I let you walk away several seasons ago... this time," he said as his hand flashed forward, an ethereal fist slamming straight into the weasel's face; it was a scarred weasel with one blue eye and a black glove on one forepaw as the skin had been stripped away from it after a log had pinned it down and had never regenerated. The weasel staggered back, the shattered bow snapped into splinters from Merrick's blow. Stonelily looked startled at the blow and how he'd done it from easily twelve feet away. "That's a trick I've never seen before," she said wryly. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi blinked in startled surprise at the attack that was sudden and swiftly stopped. She was more surprised at how Merrick reacted to it. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán blinked, caught off guard as the arrowhead deflected off of his kama blade and into the dirt between his feet. -_-_-_-_-_-

"Aye, and you have changed too," Cassandra said with a smile. It had been a long time since anyone had called her, Cassie. Her head moved to the side and her eyes widened when she saw Merrick snatch an arrow from the air and snapping it. Her eyes narrowed as she watched him slam an ethereal fist into a weasel's face. Constance had taken a defensive stance when the arrow came out of nowhere. She just watched silently as Merrick took care of everything. Her head tilted to the side slightly as the weasel stumbled back. Merida raised an eyebrow. "A friend of yours, Merrick?"

Stonelily laughed. "Seasons pass, an' we grow up with 'em, ya know that as well as anybeast," she said with a tilt of her head. Merrick cocked his head as he shifted his grip as the weasel drew a short double edged knife, the ethereal hand opening and catching Skinpaw around the shoulders and upper arms. "Not really; he tried to kill me when I was younger along with Songbreeze and Jess," he said, shifting his weight as the ethereal arm shifted, following Merrick's movements suddenly as it arced and slammed Skinpaw with a crunching thud hard into the ground, leaving the weasel senseless on the ground as he'd landed hard on the back of his head and shoulders. "How exactly ya doin' that?" Stonelily said with interest. Merrick shrugged. "Found out it could do that when some sort of demonic baby with a crossbow tried to fire what I think may have been the demonic equivalent of a sleep dart at Constance... though it failed when it got popped like a ugly water balloon. They usually don't kill around here unless it's necessary, and if Skinpaw wakes up anytime soon... I'm sure he'll go somewhere a good long way from here," he said with a deadpan tone, shifting his attention from Stonelilly to the other witches. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi cocked her head thoughtfully, thinking. "Interesting," she murmured. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán shifted his weight as Jess dropped from the trees, looking very interested. -_-_-_-_-_- Jess cocked her head as she landed in a crouch several feet from Merrick ahead of the group; she had seen the weasel when he'd fired the bow and had noticed Merrick's reaction to it as well as how he had acted towards the weasel. She, frankly, was surprised Merrick let the weasel live after it had tried to kill her and Song earlier. "So is that gauntlet inherited?" she said with interest. She was somewhat confused with Merrick's reaction: a shrug. "I guess so; I suspect it's unique to the user and usually awakens under extreme stress situations," Merrick said thoughtfully. Hobbs didn't miss how Kasumi's eyes narrowed as if she knew about that talent. He shrugged as he shifted his large club, but didn't say anything.

Constance relaxed when Merrick had taken care of the weasel. It lay unconscious on the ground. She saw Merida staring at her and shrugged. "What?" "So how many times have you been shot at, and why haven't you said anything?" Merida glared and crossed her arms over her chest. Constance looked at Merida sheepishly. "Well we certainly were going to say something, it just seems that everytime we were going to something else came up." She had walked to Merrick's side as she spoke, looking down at the weasel. "Well obviously they want her really bad to risk doing that around so many of us," Amelia said thoughtfully. "Good thing we left for a little break." Carolyn said with a smirk. "I am sure they are freaking out right about now."

Stonelily shrugged as she shifted, pulling a vine rope up and tossing it over a nearby brance to slow her progress downstream. "Don' really matter if ya think 'bout how often they're attacked. What matters is that they survive and get away," she said towards Merida with a tilt of her head and a slight shrug. Merrick shifted his weight, blushing slightly at Lorcan's rather blunt and barely veiled message. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi shrugged as she shifted her weight, darting rapidly into the trees soundlessly. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán sighed, shaking his head. "It's obvious they had other things come up... but then, they weren't the only ones," he said, deliberately hugging Cassandra close to him as he spoke. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs shifted his weight as he shifted his feet slightly. "No sense in dallyin' 'round when we could get to the Abbey in time for supper," he said wryly. Jess laughed as she crossed her arms over her chest, shifting her weight onto the balls of her feet. "Always thinking with your stomach, Hobbs," she said wryly, grinning.
