*Veria smiled and wispered to herself, "I was, but i can't give it without making a deal. A rule i have to bare." She shied. She had nothing else she wanted. Not from keria. She just wanted someone to love her, though she guessed that would have been like forcing him to love her, and that she wasnt' aware of. She gripped her arm tightly. She knew she had nothing else to ask from keria. respect was a pitaful thing to ask from a older sister. But either way she relized she would have been killed if she just gave the soul to keria in the first place, if not for the judging rule, then becuse of Eve. Eve could distroy her, she relized that a few years ago when she found herlef aginst a wall unable to do anything back. She twitched, it was time to go back to her hole.*

Kiera returned Back to the cabin, putting her smile Back on. Ever since she broke down after the fight with Richard and Mary she realised she had to put on a persona in front of the others, being how Shortstraw liked her for who she was then. There wasn't any others way to Please them otherwise. She knew she wouldn't be like how she was before again. She sighed, bringing Mai Back into her arms. "You'll like me for who I am, won't you?" She walked through the door and yawned. "I'm home~"

*Shortstraw was on the couch jumping up, "Hey Keria. You took longer then i thought." He nodded. "I hope you had a good day. I know it migh thave it's embricing moments, but your learn to get over them." he nodded. "And I guess we have a new one to share our room with. I already set him up alittle bed and everything." He nodded ready to show it off.*

Kiera chuckled a little and let Mai run around free on the ground. He instantly went into the living room. Kiera went in to hug Shortstraw. "I had a really good day. Thankyou, Shortstraw." She looked to Mai who had already set himself on the couch happily wagging his tail. Asher eyed him a little from the opposite smaller couch. "I was going to make a bed for him when i got back, thanks again." She snickered.

*Shortstraw nodded, "Well i had to do somthing for your birthday..." He blushed remembering he never gave her his gift. Still her felt it wasn't close to the others. It was still in his back pocket, a small box that he had forgotten about for a while. He was still unsure to give it to her. "Though your gutar is in the closet. I couldn't put it anywhere else i might get messed up. So i cleared a shelf just for it." He nodded with a chukkled. "And your welcome. I was almost unsure you would le t me go thorugh with it. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, even Veria." he chukkled. "And i got to see how much dontie has grown."

Kiera nodded and started to walk up the stairs. When Mai heard this, he came rushing after her then dashed between their legs to get up the stairs before them. "Yeah, he's grown a lot. Must be still the growing genes at work. The last time i saw him he was just a toddler size." She sighed. "I'm sixteen now, eh. I don't feel any different." She said as she went into the bedroom.

*There was a little bed basket set up neatly in the corner of the room. Also there was a empty collor sitting on the pillow, something shortstraw got from the pet store for her cute little freind. He nodded and followed after her, he then took a breath. "I never gave you my present. It's not as good as the others but... I guess it doesn't hurt to give it to you."

Kiera knelled over in front of the basket and Mai hopped into it happily. Kiera was putting the collar on him when she looked to Shortstraw. "Oh yeah, I did realize that you hadn't given me a present but i wasn't going to say anything. I didn't want it to seem like i was demanding a present off everyone." She smiled, turning back to Mai to put the collar on him properly. "If it's a present from you then i'm going to love it anyway, regardless of the others presents."

*He blushed* "Yea but the way i was going to present the present was the part that... i couldn't stand to actully com through with... infact i still don't think i could do it." He reached back and pulled out a small black case. he looked to it. He then took a deep breath and knelt as he opened it up, "Happy birthday keria..." inside was of course a ring. This ring wasn't perfictly round however and neither did it have any dimonds on it. It was solid gold however with a instription indented into it ruffly.

Kiera was stunned for a second, and Mai was also staring at the shiny thing Shortstraw was holding. Her eyes glittered slightly before she took the ring, and held it up against the light. It wasn't perfect, but that was just the way she liked it. She smiled as she put the ring on one of her fingers and bodyslammed Shortstraw to the ground, hugging him. "I love it." Mai yipped happily.

*Was supprized by the reaction and maniged to speak as she was hugging most of the air out of him. "I made it for you while i was away, we found a gold mine and i spent two nights molding it with a match... sorry it isn't... perfictly round..." He chukkled "your welcome." He then gave a nod as he gasped for air. "Theres more... on the ring..."

Kiera sat up, pulling him up too, realizing she was squishing him. "Sorry, i didn't know i hugged that tight." Just goes to show when she was loving, she was just a little too loving. She looked to the ricg again, and inspected it closer. "There's something written here.." Mai jumped onto her lap, wanting more attention.

*Shortstraw patted Mais head, "Yea... I carved it with a molden lova rock later on before my way back. It's not as easy as it looks." He chukkled. the ingraving however said, 'Forever your Shortstraw.' on one side, and it said, "For my girl on fire." on the other side.

"Though origanally i was going to put forever my goddess, but you would have been taking that too far and would have picked on me forever." He laughed "though i guess i'm glad you like it."
