"Wwwooaaahh Pretty." Was reaction enough for the ghoul as she entered the cave. Eyes wide, mouth open, she took in the sights and smells of the 'cave of wonders'.

"Huh. Who knew there was a water supply down here!" The Phoenix clucked to herself, not talking to anyone in particular... First and foremost the phoenix quirked an eyebrow, and stuck a foot in to the water. Hmm... it was warm and really had no ill effects? As a phoenix water was quite literally her worst element. It was something that would squelch her powers, turn them in to nothing more than warm steam.

That did not mean she hated the water though. "BANZAI!" She called out a moment before she ran in to the water, arms raised, stupid grin on her face. She dove under water and opened her eyes. What greeted her was a mass of golden treasures. It did cause her to pause slightly, in the shallow waters... but she did not exactly feel any pull towards the objects. Sure theyw ere shiny, and pretty, but she felt no pull towards such mortal objects... i mean heck, she only wore jewlery in this form to make others jealous. She did not need anything new, not really.

The only other thing she noticed was a faint voice in the water... something beautiful. Who are you.... She thought momentarily, wishing she could ask under the water.

Resurfacing with a splash she gasped for air, looking around.. and found a target. He was sitting at the edge of the pool with his feet in the water... Head halfway in the water, she used her arms to propel herself forward. "Oh Malllcoollmm.." She called not even a second before she pressed her arms in to the water.. and sent a splash out in his direction.

"Py-"

Before he could even complete his greeting, he was met with a faceful of water; his bangs, which had just recently started to dry from his little dip in the water, flopped over his forehead. Water was streaming down his face, dripping off his chin... And through it all, he somehow managed to keep his usual poker face on.

"You," He wiped his face with a hand, frowning lightly now that he had recovered from shock. Yes, apparently his neutral face covered the emotion of 'surprise', "Are the last person in Halloween I would expect that from. Just so you are aware."

Manny still hung his head in dismay, "Hope you're right about that. If the excuse don't work out, then you two are gonna be stuck with me forever," he grinned. When Radoch drew out a sword, the reaper gave an appreciative whistle, "Pare, like you aren't deadly enough as is," he lightly nudged Tesar with his elbow, "You gonna get wet, no? Being a nixie and all?"

Avery frowned as the creature retreated, clearing their path before him. Not because it was gone, but because it wasn't dead. If it wasn't dead it meant it could attack them again at any given moment. Though, that was if their attacks hadn't made it fearful of them first. But what was this?

"Swim if you like, but I'm not stepping a foot into that water."

The behemoth's eyes narrowed at the pool of water, glistening with the treasures below its surface. It almost looked like someone had stolen a dragons fortune. What was going on here? Surely the school didn't know about this, right? But if they did, why were they hiding it?

Choosing to avoid the pool, and its treasures entirely, Avery opted to examine the cave instead. There was trinkets scattered along the edges of the pool as well, but he didn't dare touch it, instead he lightly stepped over it and moved on.

He had to admit, this was pretty large for a cave. Just walking around the edges of the shore was proving to be a bit taxing. Maybe the Fear here was thinner? Whatever the cause, the behemoth paused for a brief moment, examining the etchings on the wall. There were a lot of symbols, but unfortunately, thanks to it being well... a cave, it was too dark to see any of them clearly.

"Does anyone have a light I can borrow..?" He asked aloud.

Right. They were meant to steal a giant squid's treasure, were they? No way. Yari shook Its head and went to the chalice instead, not daring to touch it as some others attempted to, but trying to read the etchings within the chalice. The walls seemed a bit dark to read... but were they easier to see on the wall around the chalice? Yari made a soft 'hmm' sound at the back of its throat, preferring a more professional approach to this than raiding an unspoken treasure.

By the time the werepenguin's shoes had knocked into him, Norvie was once again close to tears.

Wet, bullied bruised and miserable, he dragged himself through the glowing, possibly-toxic water, on all fours once he hit the shore to try to shake himself dry.

Hair still sopping, he suddenly heard Moira's voice crying out. He flinched, his face flushing as his hand found a piece of treasure that had somehow gotten tangled in his labcoat pocket... a small golden necklace, the charm on it in the shape of a cog. It might have been a part of something more complicated at some point in time, fallen apart due to time and water currents, but whatever it USED to be, it looked like a gear to him now.

He glanced to Selene and Arcana, the ok-harmless-snake seemingly distracted for the time being.

One more good shake, and a quick series of grooming motions, licking his hands to wipe his head, Norvegicus drew in a long breath, straightening up before marching towards her in an attempt to look nonchalant. "M-moira? I uh... F-found um... a er... thingy and uh..." Very eloquent. Good job. His pink clawed hand shot towards her, holding the necklace out pointedly, his face crimson.

"HEY!" She cried out, using her hands as a way to block some of the water which was being flung at her. Not successful, really. We all know how well that works.

Glaring up at the boil she gave a HRMPH is displeasure, but still she approached closer... trying to look as menacing as possible. "You know what part of this is fun...?" She was close now, staring at him but oddly not summoning the fire ball...

"The payback." Grabbing his ankle... she pulled/dragged/flung Malcolm back in to the pool.

"I will NOT go in that water!" The boil growled out, more or less making this resolve to himself than anyone else. Though he would not be surprised if others heard his wail... "Stupid weird glowing icky water.... who KNOWS what nasty garbage is in that..." Sure Kato could see the treasure, sure he was curious to go look at it (maybe pocket some), but he was even LESS interested in touching the radioactive glowing water.

Instead he chose to wander around the outskirts of the massive pool.

It was...cold, and the air was thick. Still though he Looked up at the roof of the cave. Odd how something like this seemed so hidden from the world...

"Does anyone have a light I can borrow..?"


Some poor peon needed light? Why? Turning around he noticed the small gathering of people... and they were all up on the wall like it was something important. Feh, he was a noble beast, he at least could show the lessers some kindness... right? He had seen them before at least... he knew the one whom spoke was named Avery. "Hoy, Avery." Kato called out, approaching and stopping far enough away from the wall. Flicking up his index finger a small flame appeared at the tip of it, slightly illuminating the area around them.

He could not help it either, now that he could actually SEE the walls... he examined them briefly too.
