[The little fledgling shivered and quaked in terror, his eyes wide as he stared at the unknown cat.] "You are a cat monster arnt you! You have come to take me way from my family? Dont eat me!! You will be sorry! The great Talon will get you!" [He squeaked in defiance but dare not move from his little corner. A large shadow passed over the nest as Fester the witch doctor returned to his cave. A loud and alarming screech could be heard once he entered and both Blade and Splint burst out in a hasty retreat!] "It was his idea!! I swear!!! dont voodoo me!!!" [Splint screeched!]

[The little fledgling ducked down when he heard the angry shrieks of the doctor.] "He is so scary with his dead eye. If you stay really really quiet he might not see you... shhhhh!" [He muttered to Spadestripe.]

[The fuzzy fledgling looked up at Cometstream with wide blue eyes.] "Your not afraid? You are weird. Very unlike the other fledglings i play with." [He shifted as she offered her deal. The little bird shook and glared at her.] "You said you wouldnt hurt me, that you were a mom. Do you have a nest somewhere? I wont tell Talon if you promise to play with me!" [the little white fuzzball squeaked with excitement!] "We could pretend to be assassins!!! You can be Avalon, i want to be Talon!" [he squeaked fiercely and flapped his stubby little wings and puffed out his chest, making him more fuzzy and round then he already was.] "Fear me!!! I will never back down!!! squeeek!"

"You have never played assassins before miss?" [the little fledgling tilted his head.] "When me and my friends grow up we are going to be huge assassins who soar through the sky, fight battles, and catch pray for the flock!!! I wanna be just like dad when i grow up!!" [he squeaked, getting more and more excited with each word.] "We pretend that we are assassins now until i grow up! Its fun! Do you not want to play Avalon? You can be whoever you like. " [he said, noticing Spadestripe's frown. he didnt want to upset his new playmate.] " you should teach it to your fledglings back at your nest! maybe someday we can all play together!"

[the little fledgling tilted his head but then nodded in understanding.] "Oh, they havent hatched yet? Thats ok, im sure they will be great assassins too someday!! [he puffed up as he bounced in circles around Spadestripe.] "Do you want to be Talon? I can be Avalon instead if you want!" [He puffed up and ruffled out his fuzz as he took a poorly placed battle stance.] "I will defeat you Talon!!"

[Far above them Fester looked around with his one sharp eye, scanning half of the cannon at a time. A scowl across his face.] Where could they have possibly taken here? I cant have a warrior wandering around our nests! Talon will surly have my beak for this if he finds her before i do...

[The little bird's beak dropped open in amazement at the mention of this new bird/cat named Dove.] "Whoa!!!! Moma never told me about dove before!!! Cool!!" [The little fledgling squeaked in joy as Spadestripe playfully stalked closer.] "Nu uh!! Not if i stop you first!! Back cat!! I am a mighty assassin!! Master of the sky!! You cannot beat me!" [the little bird furiously flapped his little fluffy stubs, pretending to fly.] "ima peck yoou!"

[A dark shadow passed over the nest as a large eagle entered into the medicine den, a stern look on her face. Fester looked at her, a hint of nervousness in his eyes. He stepped aside to let her enter and they disappeared in the den, out of view of the nest.]

[The little fledgling squeaked in delight at his victory when another shadow approached but much lower then the last one. The little fledgling turned to see his father coming. He gasped and turned to look at Spadestripe, remembering that he was not to talk to any strangers.] "You have to go kitty! Daddy is coming! Where did you fall from? I sneak out of the nest all the time through the crevices!! The assassins are too big to crawl through them." [ he pointed with his beak to a small tunnel that lead deep into darkness.] "Where do you want to go? if you go left you will find the diving edge, but dont go up, thats where the doctor lives and he dosent like unexpected visitors... i still think he is scary!"

[The cave was dark, the entrance as the only source of light silhouetted the two eagles at the entrance. Harpy glared at Fester as he stood calmly and at attention.] "Do i make myself clear? Those are Talon's orders, and we do not question them. Since you seem to study them so closely i want you to think of the solution before we do anything drastic." [Fester simply nodded.] "I understand Harpy. I will get right to work." [She smiled slyly in response.] "Good. oh, and one more thing. I have heard something about a cat here?" [Fester blinked once but remained calm.]

"Of course, there have been a few here before remember? Some medicine cant be made without them. " [Harpy huffed, knowing that he had slipped right through her accusation. She flew off without a second word. Once she left Fester turned around to his stored supplys to start working. He walked right past Spadestripe not seeing her there on his left.]
