Aeis saw her try to pull in water that was around them and he motioned toward the drop of water he had floating over her hand.
"Start things slow, after you can get this drop to float I'll teach you how to manipulate the current of water. What you just did was try to force it all to you, which takes considerable focus and should only be used when you don have the blessing of time, instead of letting its current bring it to you. For now just focus on this drop of water over your hand, see it floating and think of it to remain floating. This is important. This is your initial control. Water is made of countless amounts of these drops so you need to at first be able to control one."
He kept the drop of water floating over her hand with no effort while he began to have the large sphere of water gently curve within itself so he would be manipulating its current instead of just lifting it which would eventually begin to feel as if you were carrying all that water in a large container.

(Tell me if anything in this explanation sounds off or weird, I'm basically just going off of whatever comes to mind that sounds realistic. It's hard to explain something that's fantasy to such detail.)

(lol I already provided the drop of water for you. Aeis has the water from the swords held above his right hand. He manipulated a drop from it over Forenza's hand that he is keeping afloat until she gains control over it.)



Aeis saw her close her eyes and frowned slightly. He would need to train her focus from scratch. When he felt she had control he released it and gravity began to battle with her forcing the drop down while she tried to keep it up. When she spoke she lost her focus and it fell, making a tiny splash on her palm. Aeis reversed the motion after a moment and it gathered and floated back up to its starting position.
"You multitask. It seems difficult now but you'll get used to it. Separate your thoughts into the mental image of it floating and the words to speak. After you train your mind to be able to manipulate it, your mental strength will be what is holding its weight which is influenced by your focus and intelligence. Your focus will rise with practice and is split by what you are influencing with your mind and with your body. Your intelligence is of course raised by learning and expanding your mind. I'll be polishing your focus. This drop has virtually no weight, so its perfect to start off with on learning manipulation. Once you can hold this drop then you can start dealing with weight. First I'm showing you how to manipulate with your mind. I'll describe manipulation with your body next. It's the combination of these two methods that give the highest control."
He let what he said sink in before continuing.
"Okay... Now clear your mind and memorize the image before you. The drop floating. Close your eyes but keep the image of it floating in your thoughts, your mind's eye. Using your magic or ability, feel the drops existence. Here is the important part. Once you can feel it, link that to what you are seeing with your minds eye. Try that now."
He waited until he felt her influence upon the drop and then continued speaking, still keeping his own influence over it.
"You think of it to be floating, it is floating. You think of it to be moving, it is moving. If linked, your mind's eye directs the influence of your magic or ability which directs the water. If your focus is not enough to perform the action, gravity will take over and begin to make the water fall, which through your link you will feel."
He used his influence to mimic gravity, slowly pulling the drop down and then slowly returning it back up. Her mental image in her mind would automatically change to reflect the motion because of her link to it.
"This is where your intelligence comes in. From the link your mind will try to automatically predict how it will look and update your mental image, keeping your influence upon it. Remember that what you see is what you are manipulating the water to be. If you don know what the water will look like, then you can't change it to that until you do. The link between your thoughts and your magical or ability connection to the water is your control over the water. Since this is only a simple drop of water its shape will be instantly predicted. The more water you have the more thought goes into it. The speed you process the thoughts is determined by your intelligence."
He paused again letting the information sink in.
"Keep the mental image of it floating in mind and keep your link to it intact. Now open your eyes. No matter what keep those two strong."
Aeis waited until she opened her eyes.
"Your mind will now be processing the link, which affects your sense of touch, and also your sense of sight, which you are mimicking with your mind's eye. With your eyes closed, you will focus on touch and strengthen the link. With your eyes open you will focus on sight as well and thus add more stress to your mind which will weaken the link. If you talk or think about something else, like what your opponent will do or what you should do next that is more you must think about and will divide your focus. This is how you manipulate with your mind."
He released his influence over it and she would feel it leave. As long as she kept her link intact and her mental image of it floating in mind, it would float without wavering.

(If I hadn't used copy and paste to preserve this post and lost it, I would have been depressed. T.T Wow! there is a lot more to water manipulation than I thought. @.@ So exhausting finding the right wording and description. Anything to change? How'd I do? -.-)

(That was kinda like a hypnotist wasn't it lol. I'm somewhat merging 2 posts together with these to save time and get in info for you to react to. Some of the info may seem out of place but its just me getting it in there. I'm learning so much from writing these. ^-^)

Aeis smiled at her progress and noticed she was once again trying to get ahead of herself. He waited to see the result and was amazed when she hollowed out the water to add to it. He grinned back to her.
"Good job."
He pointed his left finger to the drop and put his influence over it once again. Moving his finger, he made the small wing rise and spin in place, gently overpowering her influence and letting the mental image move with it in her mind.
"Now to show you manipulation by motion, this is the method for those with the ability to influence water or have something enchanted to do so once they invoke it. For motion, instead of linking your mental image to your influence of the water, you link your influence of certain part of your body to it, which is linked to the ability. I know it seems confusing so let me go a little further with it. You basically make it where when you raise your hand, the water raises. When combined with manipulation by though, the motion increases the influence over the water on its own and directs it the influence making it easier for your mind to process."
He moved the wing back to where she had it, then raised his finger back up slowly. The parts of the wing that were awkward fixed and corrected, making it smooth.
"With motion manipulation you will constantly change how much the movement has influence over the water. One moment it will raise all of it, the next moment parts of the water will move less or not at all while other parts keep moving. Know that water has a current. you will barely notice the current this drop has but when I give you more to manipulate you will feel how the water moves on its own after you influence it. By using that current it becomes easier to control. By going against its current it becomes harder to control."
He let her try it out before continuing.
"What I just taught you are the basics to water manipulation. Manipulation with your mind and manipulation with your body. These two methods are used with manipulation of other elements like wind as well as telekinesis but require a catalyst or ability to have the influence to link to the thoughts or action. The catalyst would be someone to teach you or something else to spark the knowledge of knowing how. The highlight of water is manipulating a fluid object to how you want it as well as being able to freeze it into useful shapes. I will teach you how to freeze to water into ice or heat the water into vapor later. That requires knowing how things freeze and heat and influencing that with your link.Water manipulation extends to anything fluid but the additions to the water will make it more difficult since the water within it will be forced to carry it. Manipulating blood in use by someone and manipulating water to drown someone are ill thoughts and actions that will corrupt your being the more they are used, the allure of being able to quickly kill someone with ease will change you for the worse, turning you from an innocent girl making wings to the very epitaph of terror. These 2 should be avoided unless needed to save something you value highly... like the life of someone dear to you."
Aeis' voice became very serious, memories flooding to him, as if he might do something should she show signs of interest in those 2 actions.
"Do not take their influence lightly. Do not try to overcome the influence of it. Just avoid using water in that way."
He realized how stern he sounded and calmed down, casting the memories away.
"I'm sorry it's... it's just really important you don be overcome by that."
He nodded to her and smiled.
"So any questions?"

Ramella began sitting up from her doze. It was almost morning meaning she had slept no longer than 5 hours. It was enough to give her energy for the next day, two if she was lucky. The fire she had created was still glowing brightly. Ramella hoped that no one would notice. 'Jeez, what have I done?' She could mildly feel the earth vibrating from the power.

"Tired enough I guess, we do have some appointments to keep."
Physically he wasn't tired, but he had said quite a bit. He smiled at the gesture and let her lead. The small wing gave him an idea and he closed he eyes as they walked. The small wing merged with the large sphere as he manipulated it behind him in the shape of wings, they weren't detailed to every feather but rather 3 layers that ended like feather tips so that they looked like wings of a bird instead of a bat. He wasn't showing off but wanted to keep the water handy instead of just letting it fall as a random puddle in the forest. After creasing his brow for a moment, he reopened his eyes and walked normally, his link taking care of the rest, keeping the wings connected at his shoulder blades.
"I'll teach you more next we have the time. Steel yourself for her dark influence now that we know to."

Smiling at the mention of her dark influence she took small deep breaths. She realised she valued his opinion a lot. A bit more than she would like. Seeing the wings attached to him she had a sudden urge to poke it. She took him on a slightly longer and winding path to Selena's she had enjoyed his company. Where does he live? Somewhere fancy?' she wondered. It was hard to tell. As Forenza and Aeis arrived at the bamboo wall, she began slowly twiting a pressing the twigs until they finally unlocked. Knocking twice she called out 'Hello? This is Aeis and Forenza requesting your audience.' There was no response. She knocked a few more times. Pressing her ear closely to the green door she couldn't hear anything.

Forenza nodded, confused emotion flickering across her face. Knocking two more times she slowly opened the door. It took a lot of strength for her to do so. As she stepped into the threshold, she knew instantly that there was no one about. The small hut felt very hollow, daunting and empty without her presence. Shocked, Forenza realised that a small part of missed Selena, what type of magic did Selena really have? Looking around she saw a small vial of purple liquid and engraved on a piece of glass was a message was:
'Forenza, Aeis, your presence has carved this very message into this piece of glass so no one else will know what this vial contains. You need not know where I am but just that I am on a faraway quest. Make sure you put away this piece of glass before you drink it. Aeis, say the words: emruna brisingr whilst Forenza is drinking this potion. Make sure she drinks ALL of it at once. Best regards, Selena Von Fren. The writing was written in calligraphy with a small symbol carved which looked like two wings surrounding a pentagram. Pinking up the small vial she swirled the liquid inside. Forenza then picked up the glass but dropped it almost immediately. It had pricked her and a small flow of blood began dripping steadily from her finger.
