Moya put real heat in her glare this time. "Are you saying that I'm too bitchy now?" She tried to get out of the bed but another contraction hit and she doubled over in pain on the bed.
Doc Jane came in and set up at the end of the bed. "Alright Nik, you need to get off again but you can sit in that chair and hold her hand."

He didn't answer as Doc Jane came in, getting off of the bed without argument while still holding her hand, standing instead and rubbing her back. He didn't have much else he could do, it was all up to the doctors now.

After a long 2 hours of labor and delivery Doc Jane lifted up the new baby and smiled. "Its a baby girl Moya." She quickly put the baby on Moya's stomach to let the bonding thing happen while she stitched up a tare and let the nurses clean up the baby, not really taking it off Moya as they did so.
Turning her gaze over to Nik Moya smiled tiredly and her eyes sparkled. "I did it Nik, I gave you a baby girl." She looked down at Shilo and heard her scream. That made her relax more then anything and she held her the best she could before they took her away to make sure everything was alright. She suddenly got scared and looked at Nik. "Where are they taking her?"

He smiled at the sight of Moya and their daughter, already seeing the similarities. Seeing them take her he squeezed Moya's hand, trying to calm her. He had forgotten to cover this part. "They're going to make sure she's healthy. And to clean her up more. They'll bring her back, don't worry Moya. She's fine with them." No one was stupid enough to hurt a wolf's child. Looking down at her again he tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, kissing her softly. "You need to rest. I'll go check on her."

Moya nodded and sighed, turning onto her side a little and closing her eyes. A wave of fatigue hit her hard and fell asleep quickly.

Waiting until he was sure she was asleep he walked out, going straight to the nursery. For some reason he knew the place like the back of his hand, knew exactly where to turn and where to stop. What hallways hid the vending machines. Finding the nursery he came in, showing the nurse his bracelet that said she was his baby. He wanted to hold his daughter.

A nurse picked up the new clean baby and placed her in Nik's arms.
Shilo opened her big black eyes and looked up at him, trying to lift up her arms to him.

She seemed to fit perfectly in his arms, even when he had to move a little so he was supporting her right. And she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Smiling when she lifted up her arms he stroked her hand lightly with his finger, sitting in one of the chairs they provided as he spoke in a soft tone. "Hey, Shilo. Welcome to the world."

Shilo grabbed his finger and held on tight, bringing it down a little before closing her eyes again, making cooing noises, falling asleep.
Doc Jane came in and watched Shilo over Nik's shoulder, smiling. "She has your hair Nik, and you nose." She patted him on the shoulder and nodded. "She is cleared to go back into the room. You can take her in and sit there to wait for Moya to wake up."

She had a firm grip for a baby and that made him happy. It meant she was strong. Doc Jane was right, she did have his hair. Thick and black, like a hairball on her head despite how soft it was now that she was cleaned up. Lifting her carefully so he didn't wake her up he hummed softly, carrying her back to Moya's room and sitting in the chair with her, waiting.

Moya slept for a few hours before moving around a bit. She opened her eyes slowly and the first thing she saw was Nik and Shilo. She smiled and sat up slowly. "So she is all healthy then, nothing wrong?"

Nik looked up at Moya and nodded, sitting on the edge of her bed to her show her Shilo. "Everything's perfectly fine, she's strong and healthy, and you're looking much better now." He smiled at Shilo's sleeping form again before looking at Moya. "Ready to hold her?"

Moya sat up a bit more and nodded. "How do I hold her?" She looked at how Nik was holding her and figured she would be able to do that, but she still really didn't know how.

Carefully, he placed Shilo in Moya's arms, simply repositioning her arms until she was supporting Shilo right. The sight of her holding her daughter nearly brought tears to his eyes, but he simply crawled in behind her and wrapped his arms around her.

Moya smiled and a few tears left her eyes. Something in her did a kick start and she gently started to rock Shilo in her arms to keep her asleep as she leaned on Nik. She was still tired, but she wouldn't miss out on being with her daughter. She looked up at Nik and kissed him softly. "I want more."
