Lore chuckled at this making his way over to the counter with Elnara. So that explained it, he couldn't recall ever meeting Aranhil's father at all. Probably not seeing as most of the time they were here, it was just Aranhil.

Elurin chuckled softly. "Welcome back, Princess," he said warmly. "It has been years ... decades since I have last seen you. You look well - and happy."
Just then Aranhil appeared behind him, for the first time not wearing his fine silks, but a plain pair of black pants and nothing else - obviously his labouring clothes, instead of his shop-keeping clothes.
"Elnara," he beamed. "Lore! So wonderful to see you both!" He turned to his father. "Thank you for calling me," he grinned.

Elnara smiled warmly at Elurin and was about to reply to him when Aranhil himself appeared. She laughed softly and held out one hand to him. "It's lovely to see you again, too, Aranhil," she smiled. "It's been a long time for us, but even longer for you."

"It is good to see you too," Lore smiled eeing Aranhil come in.
They probably hadn't seen Aranhil since the wedding during the few times they visited the city.

Aranhil looked down at the babies and grinned. "They're so beautiful," he cooed, bending over slightly to get a better look at them. "What are their names? How old are they?"
He poked at Hana's hand, grinning widely.

Elnara giggled as Hana grabbed onto Aranhil's finger and stuck it in her mouth.
"This is Hana," she introduced her, "and Lore is holding Garrick. As for how old they are ..."
She trailed off and looked to Lore for help. Truth be told, with how much they were traveling with the two between worlds ... it was kind of hard to say.

"Nearly a year," Lore supplied.
Or at least around there, it was really hard to tell after a while.
"It gets a bit confusing between the trips back and forth," Lore explained sheepishly, "They were born in the Borderlands, we were there for a while after they were born, and then we came back to Gaia, and of course little time had passed there, and now we're back here and we'll be here for about a month or so."

"I think that by the time we leave here," Elnara put in, "they'll be a year old, or if not then very very nearly. Garrick's nearly walking, Hana's more ... well, I think she'll be talking before she's walking, but then again it's hard to tell ..."
She tried to get Hana to let go of Aranhil's finger, but the little girl held on stubbornly, sucking on it as if it were her dinner.

Aranhil chuckled at Elnara and shook his head. He didn't mind if she wanted to suck on his finger. It was kind of cute, actually.
"At first glance," he grinned, "I would say that Garrick looks like Elnara, and that Hana looks like Lore ... but ... looking closer ..."
He peered down at the infants. "I would have to say, Hana looks like Elnara, but with white hair, and Garrick looks like Lore, but with black," he concluded.
Little did he know that his opinion was actually opposite most other peoples'.

Lore was somewhat surprised at this, Aranhil was probably the first person to his knowledge would had said that. Peering down at Garrick he could suddenly see why, with Garrick's ears he did look like Lore with black hair. He supposed he had been holding Hana for so long no one had thought about this.
He chuckled, "You are the first person to actually say that, I think everyone else has been looking at first glance."

Elnara giggled softly. "I think it just means that they both look like both of us," she smiled warmly at Lore. "And not just like one or the other of us."
Which she personally preferred. She liked that they were both a mixture. After all, it showed the world that they were the product of Lore and Elnara, which she really liked.

Aranhil smiled up at Lore. "I have the eye of a jeweler," he reminded him with a wink. "I look for details. The slightest difference means the success or failure of any piece of jewelry. Though I also have to admit," he laughed, "that the way Garrick resembles you makes him different from every elf born in our land. Personally, I think it's quite endearing."
He smiled warmly. The children really were so adorable, and Lore and Elnara were every bit the proud parents.

Lore chuckled at that, he was glad there was a bit of him in Garrick and in Hana, as well as Elnara having bits of her in the twins. It was... an amazing thing to him.
"Ah... that is true," Lore murmured warmly, "And how have you been Aranhil?"

"I've been well, thank you," Aranhil smiled happily. "Business is as good as ever, and I can't ask for any more than that."
He winced suddenly as Hana bit his finger, and chuckled down at her. "Now, now, little one," he said softly, "I'm not a chew toy ..."
He looked up at Elnara. "Teething?"

Elnara nodded and lifted Hana in her arms, still in the sling, to get her to finally let go of Aranhil's finger.
"Thankfully they didn't get any fevers with it," she told her friend, "but still, their teeth are sharp. I would try to get them to stop putting things in their mouths, but you know how children are."
She half wondered why he didn't yet have a family of his own. With his father helping with the shop, he didn't have to work the hours that he did, and he was a very nice man ... on the other hand, she had a feeling she might know why he didn't yet. It sort of made her feel a bit guilty. But there was nothing she could do about that.
