As for what I mean by generic, have a bit of a think and it shouldn't take you long to think of a few, all the main stream bullshit that these nutsacks lap up.
Eh it's 5am I've got a headache and I decided to finally listen to what BayLu said like a gazillion years ago and watch FLCL. It was an awesomly random show and Haruhara reminded me alot of BayLu until the whole "Rawr I'm just using this poor kid to get what I want thing." By that point if I was the kid I would have broken that guitar across her smug mouth. <.<

Eifer, what type of anime show are you looking for? Romance, Comedy, Action, Shonen, Sienen? If you want to try a good one try Berserk. An oldie but a goodie. You could also try Gantz, a fav of mine. Excel Saga is great for laughs and in the ranks of FLCL IMO. Gungrave is pretty nice and I've heard Escaflowne and Boogiepop Phantom are good. If you want to try a movie try Vampire Hunter D.
