not all shadows are cast by light...
"looking for something?" Gabriel asked, entering the kitchen. he looked around, then to the captain.
...some are cast by darkness.

Lexi rubbed the back of her neck and sighed once more. She looked up at the sky and mumbled. "Alright... alright... you win." Then she made her way over to Avery. "Hey... do you feel better?" She asked.

Avery sighed and rubbed his head. "Not really, and my eye patch has been bothering me an awful lot lately. I still don't know much about the outside world and all this treasure hunting, so my nerves are also a factor." He confessed, clutching his fists together. It was hard to be in this situation. He felt alone, even though he knew his mother was with him... in spirit, at least.
Gregory, finding nothing else to do, sauntered around the ship in boredom. He still hadn't found Jericho yet, the little b*****d. "I swear, why did I bother saving him anyway? He's just a monkey..." He grumbled, but knew that he didn't mean it. Jericho was important to him, despite his fickle nature. Gregory remembered how he was thieving some food from a grand palace in Beijing, China, only to find Jericho caged up being prepared for the next meal. Gregory, feeling a pity for the doom that awaited the animal, picked the lock and freed the monkey. They had been together ever since.
A smile flickered on his lips and he stared out into the ocean in thought.

Lexi nodded. "That's understandable. But how hard can it be? We get in, snag the treasure then we get out. Sounds pretty simple doesn't it?" Though Lexi also had her own doubts about this island. Even though its just a rumor, it still left her a little... edgy.
