Thats a sure sign that he really didnt. Im sorry to say it, but thats what i'm hearing. If he really did love you and your friend told him to break up with you because he/she thought it was inevitale, then he wouldn't even take that thougt into consideration. But your right, every relationship had their ups and downs, but just because they does not mean they are great. There is only one 'great' relationship, and he wasn't it aparently.
