There was a moment of pregnant silence as the fire dissipated from where it was, showing only scorch marks on the apparently (and wisely) fireproof floor and ceiling.
The pregnant silence gave birth to a screaming... Samuel... as he heard several voices whisper "Boo..." in his ear.
"Careful about losing sight of your opponent if you can help it. Teleporters can be a b***h to track," Legion commented.

Siber found he was bored out of his mind. Which was a difficult concept to wrap his psyche around, actually, when he considered where various sections of his psyche probably were at any given time, in concordance with his abilities and connection to the amulet at his throat, but it was a kind of peripheral thing at the time. So he decided to go look for the Shriner's Convention et al on his own, plus Laura if she wanted to come. 'Cuz the tiny red blip was, unfortunately, NOT MOVING ((that's as subtle as I get)). "Laura, wanna come see if we can meet Alan and the gang? I'm about to eat some shrooms just to liven things up a little."
He got up and went to the closest door he saw, knowing that it probably led somewhere 3-Dimensionally impossible according to the external layout of the building, but by now used to shifting floor plans. He opened it, and could not decided whether to be alarmed or not.

Joe fired three fireballs over Sam's shoulder, right at Legion's face. "Damn it, die! ********!"

Linda gave a slightly annoyed look at Siber. "My name isn't Laura..."
In the opposite direction from Siber, another door had opened. As Linda turned to see who was entering, she saw...
Siber, looking right at her. Her head whipped back and forth as her mind made the closest thing it could to a logical connection.

Siber arrived in time to watch his shoe and the back of his jacket leave the doorway ahead of him. After a strange urge to just continue sprinting through the door over and over again, or maybe throw something at his own back, he reluctantly closed the door behind him. He then caught on to what Linda had said. "Ah-hah! My bad; slip of the tongue. Happens."
"Hoorah for Escher-inspired devilry... So we can't leave. Turd-mutant-scrambled-cheese on a sandwich."
He sat down in a conveniently empty chair, extracted a tiny Su-Do-Ku book from within his clothing, and began filling it in with a pencil from his sleeve.

, Apolline spoke quickly sending a small image into Aurelie's mind. , Aurelie thought as she stood straight.
Sliding her feet together she straightened her back, raising her arms to her side palms up and closeing her eyes to focus. Lightening began to spark around her arms, spinning down to engulf her hands. Though it swirled around her hands it did not burn her, but continued to grow. Her hair started to pick up in the static floating around her as she opened her eyes then looked at Legion. Raising her arms she clapped them together, then began weaving her arms with her palms still together. The lightening spilled from her hands like a snake, winding across the air toward its target in the blink of an eye. As it reached Legion it didn't attack or seem hostile but began to wrap itself around him, then burst apart into tiny ones that started darting all around him like thousands of shocks but each with the power of a bolt of lightening.

Legion, ignoring the snakes, calmly held his hands out and extinguished the fireballs. He then began to idly pick at his fingernails, paying no attention to the snakes whatsoever.
"You know," he commented, "Anything the snakes could do a simple lightning bolt could do." He held a hand up and several of Takeshi's bullets stopped in front of him. "Come on, Takeshi, be creative. Simple and without superfluous fluff does not mean doing the same thing over and over."

Joe thought for a moment. "Without fluff, huh..." He looked down at his hand. Roland said, knowing his plan. Joe covered his right arm in blazing fire, then shrugged and covered his whole body. He didn't allow it to burn him or his clothes. Joe ran forward and threw himself on Legion, punching and kicking everything he could. "Dodge this!" he grunted. He held Legion as tightly as he could, letting the fire do its job.

Legion stood impassively, stretching his arms around Joe to continue playing with his fingernails. After a moment, Joe realized that he wasn't actually in contact with Legion - at all points, there was a thin region where there was no contact.
"I want soldiers, not martyrs or suicide bombers, Joe," Legion sighed. "You'd be killed faster than you could blink against even a child with a knife."

Ted stood up after his attack attempt, and he decided to analyze everything around him. The man is a walking tank. He's taking no damage, leapt over me like I was a kid, and is laughing at everyone's attempt at roasting him. How do we get a hit on him when he has all the energy manipulation?
{Try walking up to him, and poking him. I think it worked once in the past, although he might have been mortal at the time. Who knows?}
So, you want me to walk up to the guy that is laughing at everyone, and poke him? Works for me. With the conversation over, Ted just strolled over to Legion, moving out of the way of magical discharges that seem to call to him, and he stretched out a hand with finger pointed. Then he dove forward with finger outstretched, hoping to score a hit.

Legion spun slightly to put Joe's flames between him and Ted.
"Careful. Watch out for allies turned into human shields."

Ted's eyes widened as the flames grew near him, and he threw up his arms and dove to the side. What he didn't know was his meager powers at the moment allowed the flames to dance away from him.
When he stood back up, he dusted off his clothing, and looked at Legion. "Too true, but we aren't exactly allies right now, are we? Allies help each other out, while we aren't. We are only a rag tag group, or me an outcast, who are trying to hit you. If we wanted to be better, we should be working out a plan, not attacking randomly. I imagine that this is another of your 'lessons'?"

"Quite. A group that is not unified, will not survive. It's as simple as that. Now, I'm going to leave this room for five minutes. When I return, we will try this again. You will be considered to have succeeded - all of you - when I have been hit once." He disappeared, leaving no trace of his whereabouts.

Joe gestured for the others to gather around, "We need to divert his focus, make it impossible for him to handle all of us. Takeshi, fire at him as many times as you can. Auralie, use your crazy lightning s**t. Ted, do whatever you can. As long as we can all hit him at once, we should be all right, Any other ideas?"

"Well, I'm able to fire a good twelve rounds off a fresh clip," Takeshi said. "I doubt bullets do much though. I figure if we get past whatever barrier he has that prevents us from touching him, then we'll be able to hit him."
He sighed.
"The problem being, we don't even know what the barrier is."
