suddenly become confident i could be successful overcharging for crafts on etsy It's one of my bigger gripes with "artists" and "crafters". Too much self-worth translating into a larger cost than warranted. If you have the skills to justify it, sure, but charging 30 for that, for example, is dumb.

Too much self-worth translating into a larger cost than warranted. If you have the skills to justify it, sure, but charging 30 for that, for example, is dumb. I think the biggest factor is that it's video game merchandise, so even if it's not perfect, people will buy it anyway. That one might be a bit of a stretch there, but for example I'd probably buy Triforce earrings that were a little wider than they are tall or more rounded at the edges than they are supposed to be just because of the novelty. You cash in less on your craftsmanship and more on the popularity of the idea, if you know what I mean.

There are too many stupid "craftspeople" trying to sell their first ever sculpy creation. Most of their shitty products aren't selling. It's like trying to find the good, serious artists on DeviantArt-- there's no quality control and it's the popular "omg I'm artist lol" place to be. You can find some quality pieces if you dig, but anybody that's actually worth anything will have their own website and uses Etsy as a mirror site.

Haha, nope. I'm pretty sure people have caught on and I don't care much that people know really. My sister and mom found out, my other sister wants to ask but she won't ask me, so whoop.
