Yeah, that's a power killer. It'd be nice if Mason could've used the exoskeleton of a roach and the shifty speed of a fruit fly to bust through the door, but we can't all get what we want. 3nodding

I actually enjoy limitations. It's no fun if there's no conflict.

Yea powers are no fun if there isn't a limit or some kind of negative to the power. I mean what's the point of writing if you win everything or if there is no challenge... I learned that lesson the hard way a long time ago.

I'm an old D&D junky so it was kind of impossible for me to create characters without flaws. The DM had convienent ways for those kinds of characters to meet their dooms.
One of my friends when we gathered had his dwarf belch in the face of a dragon. He didn't survive long enough to know what hit him after that. ^_^
I never laughed so hard in my life.

I was in a random fantasy RP before this one, and we made some of the most flawed characters ever. It was pure awesome. (Everstar was so messed up; but it was great.) Actually, the blue wizard was hilarious too. He was basically a wimp with sparkly powers. He only got serious when someone called him "gay" because he wasn't. He just acted like it...because he was that innocent. XD

That is awesome!
I learned to RP writing Star Trek... so you had very real limitations... like not having super powers. Of course, I managed to godmod a Betazoid in my first year.... I learned.

Sadly our RP disbanded. It would be so awesome to bring Everstar back in her Napoleonic-complex glory. (She was a drow/halfling that basically looked like a drow and had the attitude of one, but she was incredibly short due to her hobbit heritage.) She also hated males, and it just so happened that the hothead red mage liked her. She knew it and didn't even close to like him back, but he didn't want to admit it. Ohh....the arguments. biggrin (Oh...and then there was my Liana.)
I wish I knew more about Star-Trek....anything, actually. I've only seen Star Wars.

I recently found an old Steno from about four years back that featured the majority of some old games' meetings. Like once, a Rogue looked down a tower and stated the fact he could see a pair of ruby slippers on the ground. Next thing we know, the group had to fight a group of lawyers wielding lawsuits and motions.

@Zephyr: Those kinds of interactions make for some good RP'ing lol
@cln4evr: That had to be funny.
I'm trying to remember some of the characters that I grouped with. Most memorable was the insane psionisist...the guy had some cool powers but he heard voices and was paranoid...While we were RP'ing he'd hold these long rambling conversations with himself...almost always he'd get into a shouting match with the voices...and then threaten to leave them somewhere.
That's it...I so have to dig through all my boxes and look for my old character and RP notebooks now lol

I loved that RP so much; it was both random and literate, so we had some good times. It was so hard to decide who my favorite character was. (Liana or Everstar) Liana was a girl that was some strange race; basically, she had dragon wings and was incredibly old, although she looked young. The trouble is that she had amnesia rather recently to when she joined, so she didn't remember any of her extensive previous life. She also had pretty bad mood swings, and a humongous sword she absolutely adored and babied. No one could touch it, and although it was very heavy and she carried it with her, she'd never use it, preferring hand-to-hand.

Oh that all sounds so fun.
When I go back and think about it, I haven't played to many crazy characters. Although I think one of my favorites was in an Age of Apocalypse RP.... My character Echo was an energy mutant but it was so out of control she could even turn what she was hearing into energy so like everything in the world kept her just out of her mind. I couldn't bring her into this game, she was too poweful I think... and i have two characters. Hehe.

Too bad it ended! My fave was Yelm, the emo YELLOW wizard! What if emos really were yellow? I think our perceptions of them would change. xd

lol we have enough plots right now for hte next four or five months.... but I wouldn't be opposed to having a run in with the insane sound/energy mutant. Haha.
I tend to stick with genre RPs. I should branch out more.
