Chloe Lockheart Bakasensei Cross Chloe Lockheart Bakasensei Cross Chloe Lockheart Bakasensei Cross Eh? Chloe kept her eyes on him, as if glued. Her expression changed into a subtle smile, she was till paying attention. She also noticed his pause as well. Although as inattentive as Chloe is to most of her surroundings, she can tell that this was something heavy on Cross, something he has kept locked up for god knows how long. She saw this before, with her friends, when they all finally trusted each other enough to reveal their own dark secrets. She was always there to listen..maybe give some comforting or words of advice. It was that time again, to listen, and provide whatever help she can for Cross. It must have been a huge burden on him..and then to finally tell his story, after keeping it locked for so long...it was difficult..no, that was putting it to lightly.
Nevertheless, she listens, giving Cross her full, undivided attention. He continued on, smiling inside at her utter rapture.
"I met her at a whore house. Imagine that," he admitted, adding a bit of humor at the end, though not laughing at it himself.
"I was passing by and noticed the small sign in the window. I went in, not actually looking to purchase. I may like my women, but I don't sink so low as to hire. I perused through the rooms, guided by a woman named Mistress Dion. She owned he place, as well as the women. I was unimpressed by her stock, and about to leave when she told me there was one last girl she had, that perhaps I might like. I decided to humor the woman, and follow her to the last room."
He paused to pull out a cigarette, lighting it and taking a long drag.
She kept paying attention, waiting patiently still to hear what else happens. Although she did make a small mental note that she was acting like a small preschooler who was listening eagerly to a story in class.
"I knew then, there would be no purchasing any of her services. I couldn't have stood to, seeing that sadness swirling in her blue eyes. However, I found myself not wanting to leave her, either. Then I had an idea."
He took another pause to smoke for a minute or two. He found the silence in the room almost eerie, but he was glad that she was paying attention to him. He knew she cared, at least. That, or she was just extremely curious. He hoped it was the first one.
"What's your brilliant idea?" She told him, smiling still.
"I decided that I wanted to talk to her. So, I purchased her time, with no plans of doing anything more than talking. She was perplexed by this at first. She had never seen such a thing before. So I told her that I simply wanted to talk to her, because she intruiged me. Which was the truth. We talked for about an hour, until my time was up. I wasn't ready to leave her, so I promised to return the next day. She smiled and nodded at me, but I could tell she didn't believe that I would ever come again. It surprised her when I went back the next day and payed to talk to her for another hour. This pattern went on for a few weeks, as we got to know each other for one hour out of each day."
"What else happened?" She asked softly.((short post is short. xd ;; ))
"I didn't want her in that place any longer. It was no good for her. All the other girls treated her terribly, because she was the most beautiful, and they were jealous cows. The only way to get her, was to buy her. But Mistress Dion had no intentions of selling. She was the biggest money maker, according to her. She was a b***h of an old woman, and refused all my offers. I had one option left..."((LOL. Oh, and if I don't respond it may mean my computer died. It's acting up again.))
