"Hmmm ohh ummm im not sure just something felt right telling you this."

She followed his lead and seated herself on the bench, though the nervous tension was obvious in her body language. "I believe I do. Brand myself as a true traitor as you have and join the Lotus, or hightail and get as far away from Signet as I can." This time, Kiran looked up, her blue eyes determined.

"I'm still here, aren't I?"

"Hmmm ohh ummm im not sure just something felt right telling you this."
Quinn smiled. It was sort of the answer he was expecting. He didn't mind, not at all. There was something about Rikku's aura, Anaiya's aura, that was just bizarre but correct.

Quinn unwrapped himself from his robes and pushed himself off the ground. Looking around the forest, he still was trying to get used to all of his surroundings and the forest was intriguing. Not far off was his staff, of course. He had dropped it on the way into the forest, and ever so slowly it followed him in. It made it to him, and he placed a hand on it, feeling a bit better.

"We probably ought to head back, Rikku." Quinn replied, "I imagine Remus and the others are wondering where I disappeared to at this point."

Remus nodded thoughtfully. "Those are your options, yes." His gaze turned back to his cousin. "However, before you decide so quickly you need to understand exactly what it is your doing. My life has not gotten easier in the slightest. You'll be running from and fighting life long friends and family members. You remember Alastor? He died with my mouth around his neck. Are you up to killing old friends?"

Smiling up at him she rose. "Why do you need to lean on your staff so much? An injury?"

Once more her gaze was averted and she paled. "Before, you were alone, were you not? And now, you have a fiancee, and a few who you can trust not to turn on you the moment they see room for their own advancement..."

"Without a relationship, yes. But I also lost that which I did have. My family was murdered, and I've made mortal enemies with three different, very dangerous people." He took a deep breath. "I don't want to deter you from the path you desire, but you must understand all of the path you walk."

Smiling up at him she rose. "Why do you need to lean on your staff so much? An injury?"
"It isn't an injury, per say." Quinn replied, feeling a bit more comfortable around Rikku, "I don't know how to explain it really. In my home town, one must pass a terrible test of strength, will, and endurance to gain the next level of magical power. I passed the test, but it nearly cost me my life. It drained every aspect of my body physically, to the point where the mana was nearly gone from my body. When one loses all of their mana, they die you see. So, I nearly died. For some reason though, I survived and am now cursed with a constant need for my staff. Otherwise I have a harder time getting around. It's never really affected my ability in combat, so I don't really mind it."

Quinn felt bad for talking Rikku's ear off, so he began to walk in the direction that he thought was the main part of Signet. If he was wrong, he was sure he'd find his way back eventually.

"I want peace, and if it claims my life at least I won't be hiding for my convictions. Before I went along with the others, just to survive, and now I am tired of hiding in that way. I would rather be running from my enemy for having stood up for myself than running from myself." Kiran said slowly and carefully, eyes getting a little too shiny. She looked like a child, but her words were not those that should be coming from a youngling.

Rikku smiled after the ma then ran to catch up tugging on his arm slightly to lead him the right way. "Let me examin it some time i might be able to help you in some ways." Smiling up at him Rikku finally realized how much shorter she was then him. Confused about why that even came to mind she walked in silence.

Remus nodded again. "You are growing up far faster than is healthy for you, but you have persuaded me. How could I possibly turn you down for thinking almost precisely what I did." He stood up. "Are you alright?" He'd never been close to his cousin, but the two had enjoyed each others company.

Kiran gave a barking laugh, "A bed and a balance beam and I'll be right as rain." Again she followed suit and stood, having had respect for Remus as they had grown up even if she didn't know him very well. It was sort of habit to mimic another's movements, anyways.

Quinn smiled when Rikku pulled him in the right direction. He had a feeling that he would have been wrong, but it didn't really matter. A thought crossed his mind though...how would she be able to help? The damage had been done directly to his aura, his mana, damage that could not be undone. Or, at the very least, Quinn thought that was the case.

"I don't know what I would do without this limp, to be completely honest." Quinn replied thoughtfully, "I've had it for more than eighty years. It would be strange to not have it anymore."

Quinn noticed how Rikku suddenly got quiet, and although he was curious he didn't push the subject. It wasn't his business.

"80 years......i cant even remember that much of my life...i dont even know how old i am.." Rikku spoke in a whisper and at the last part her voice dropped even more. She hardly focused on where she was going, almost walking into one of the trees.

"All right then. We'll head back to the Nocturne and you can meet Lina there." Remus paused for a moment and looked at his cousin. "It'll be nice to have another Lycan in the group."
