Cabron the Swan IT'S NOT AN HOMAGE IT'S A SHAMELESS COPOUT AND A POOR SUBSTITUTE FOR ACTUAL THOUGHT
It's an homage when it's 1 song every 3 or 4 years. I like a cover, I like a remix, but I like it in goddamn moderation. When everything on the ******** radio is regurgitating the past, something has gone terribly ******** wrong. It's like the entire ******** world has Santana syndrome and doesn't see anything wrong with that. That's how I feel about the Gaia s**t, I got tore up for my thoughts about that though. My philosophy now is, let it exist. It doesn't hinder your thought any. Just ignore stupid crap like that. There are better things to think about.

Wantcookie Cabron the Swan Owwin Cabron the Swan Medeus Cabron the Swan I hate when rap songs sing the exact melody of the chorus except change the lyrics, as well. Not only stealing good music, but bastardizing it? mad GO MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN HOOKS. o-O' Didn't we do this already? No, that was directly stealing it and changing the tempo. This one recorded someone else's melody and changed the words. I feel the same way about Gaia stealing designs all the time. The general consensus is that it is an homage, therefore okay. @Owwin: it just frustrates me that I'm here, in a lower-middle class house, writing my own damn music, recording an album I'm going to burn copy-by-copy onto 1000-for-$10 CDs and struggle to sell for three bucks a piece, and they're making millions through blatant plagiarism, autotune, and cheesy-a** rhyming couplets and getting away with it. It's a shitty feeling to be outdone by people with less talent than even me.
Also I'm sick of hearing it. It wouldn't bother me so much if my sister didn't play it all the goddamn time, drowning out my music despite the fact that she's in the other room.

If you have ambition to move and the willpower to achieve your goal you will reach it. You may never be world famous, but you are already appreciated. Good things just take time to achieve though and you gotta keep working at it.

I don't really want to join the mainstream media though, no businessman is gonna tell me what to sing about or how to dress or present myself. ******** that noise. Just bugs me that this is the mentality that's being glamorized. I don't wanna bring kids into a world with these values.
@LD: 8 songs done, 3 or 4 recorded. Still tinkering with mixing. Not very good at it. Probably be a while. But I should be halfway done for busking season.

You don't have to shrink to fit the mainstream. Just make the mainstream grow to reach you. My friend Collin makes catchy music and I like it, and he is trying to get the mainstream to come to him the old fashioned way. Giving his music to the radio stations to see if they'll play it on new music sundays, and trying to find gigs. Go find places to play. Make the people listen. Businessmen are important, you want them to listen to you, it doesn't have to be the other way around.

The only kind you can make with an acoustic guitar and a voice. Lame singer-songwriter music. xd

Milla Jovovich's label wanted her to release a CD of pre-written pop s**t. She refused and used her poems. Never read a bad thing about it, other than it's underrated.

It sounded like s**t overall.

I love the acoustic and voice combo. I've been meaning to learn guitar for a while, I just don't have one.
And as for the child, I'm going to adopt. No sense in having to go through hell for 9 months and all that. I'm just gonna provide a new life for someone not as fortunate
