I'm sure I will.
Daemon replied leaving out the fact he found out he was in the sword for a very very long time. Besides... demons and angels tend to have a very long life span. Maybe Yume had already been reborn several times by now.

Serenity wasn't sure how to respond, what to say next, or if she should change the subject altogether - and if so, to what. She looked at the mouth of their snow cave and noted that she would have to clear it again soon ...

If you need to rest I'll stop now.
Daemon replied a bit sheepishly.
It's hard to tell the time here.

No, it's not that time yet, Serenity reassured him. I ... just never had a conversation like this in a while ... and not a conversation this long in years ... so I really don't know what to say, to be honest.
But she was curious about something.
What IS it like in there? I mean, what do you feel? What do you see? What do you hear?

That is perhaps the most disconcering thing about it. Daemon replied back a bit unsure.
I guess it feels like I'm floating, since really I don't feel anything. I can't see unless I have a vision, and I can't hear unless someone thinks to me, and I can't feel anything outside me. At first it bugged me but about after who knows how long I got use to it. Granted I was sleeping most of the time but well...

And do you feel any physical needs while you're in there? Serenity pressed. Do you feel hunger? Thirst? Fatigue?
She was insanely curious - a trait that, though she didn't know it, she had passed on to her daughter.

Daemon chuckled a bit, he was reminded of Gion a bit.
No, I don't, I get bored when I'm left alone for long periods of time, in where I just kind of go to sleep after a while, but that's it.

Serenity smiled inwardly. Well, at least he wasn't starving or anything, then.
But do you ... miss? Eating? Wish sometimes for a taste of something? she asked hesitantly.

Hmm.... I wish for tea... not that stuff that Gion has told me about, no.... the tea leaves of back home.... I miss that, though I miss being able to see more.
Daemon admitted, he had become so use to using his sight it was strange now.

You seem to be handling it rather well, Serenity laughed inwardly. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't do anything ... go mad, I would imagine. Being blind was ... well, while I admit it was not fun, it was bearable and at times adventurous. But to not be able to see, hear, taste - or even FEEL - would drive me mad.

Well apperately I had a long time to get use to being like this.
Daemon replied back.
It's more just like you exist, nothing more and nothing less, though very very boring.

Serenity thought about that. Bored ... yes ... how did you pass the time when you were awake?
Since really there wasn't much that he could do, but obviously he had to do something to keep sane. After all ... he did seem sane ...

Well at first I kind of sang... well I mean to myself, no one would heard me unless they were holding me. So, I did that for a while, and then I recited to lack a better term of lists of things I had to normally memorize when I was in school.... then counted in every language I knew... finally I just began to ask myself pointless questions that don't really have answers... and the finally I fell asleep... and had been sleeping until I was found several weeks ago. Daemon ended happily on that note, since really he had no concept of time as well.

Hmm ... sounds like you were glad to be picked up, Serenity mused. Gion was the one who found you, though, right?
Just to make sure ...

Yes.. .well the second time, I was found a first time, but the owner didn't like fighting so he kind of just... well I don't know where he put me, but somewhere where I didn't have any contact with people.
Daemon replied back in case she might think he jsut recently arrived.
