IF YOU WANT THIS SWORD SO BADLY THEN FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO LAY CLAIM TO IT.

He stretched slightly, slouching in the chair.
"Trust me... Adrienne, was it? A life in slavery is not truly living at all. Its good that circumstances have allowed you escaped."
Suddenly he oppened a rather small pouch and thrust his entire arm into it, peering inside as if expecting to find something.
"Anyone here hungry?"

Adrienne turned her attention back to the men, nodding to the one called Ryuma. "I am... I've been losssst out here for many dayssss and food issss rather sssscarce." Adrienne could argue against Ryuma's opinion of slavery, but she let the topic die for the time being.

Kuro thought upon the name for a bit.
"I could use some food if you have it..not to say I don't carry some with me...but it's always appreciated."
He turned to Adrienne with his head.
"Slavery is not normally and individual's choice...if you have your own reasons then they are your's alone...let us not triffle you."
With that, he moved his head back in the direction of Ryuma's voice. He moved his hand accross the table, feeling for something.
"The object you placed down Ryuma...judging by the sound it made when hitting, it appears to be a book of sorts...am I correct?"
He was still suprised that they had not asked for his name yet. Talking with him, staying by a shelter he created, he himself would at least question the name of someone like this. But that was just him.

"Eh? Yes, you could say it is."
After practically scouring his bag for a good twenty seconds he pulled out a smaller bag filled with Jerky, three cups, and an entire flask. He poured the lilac liquar into the glasses and presented them to his new found companions. After taking a few pieces, he left the jerky on the table so that they may help themselves.
As for himself, one of his wineskins were filled with it, so there was no need to dirty another glass.
"Sunkist Lilac... I hope its to your liking."

He felt accross the table for a piece of the food. It smelt like jerky. He grabbed a piece, smelt it cautiously, and then took a bite. As for the drink, he polietly raised his hand.
"No thanks, I have water."
He took another bite and then drank some of his water. Swallowing, he spoke again to Ryuma.
"...That book is special is it not? Im no scientist, but people don't normally carry around books in the middle of the desert..."

He took the wine he offered to the man and downed it himself. Grinning, he spoke after taking a bite of jerky.
"You are correct. Its very special. You can say its down-right crucial."
He took another bite of jerky, washing it down with a bit of the Sunkist. he may have been seen as abraisive, but it was a sort of a security measure. He didn't know them that well, so he saw no reason to tell them exactly what it was.

"Not particularly. We're you able to see, you probably still couldn't read it. But, I suppose it couldn't hurt any."
There was a pause as he picked his book back up.
"You could say its a magic book of sorts. Only much, much more."
He would leave it at that, and continue eating.

He smiled.
"You by anychance have the spells I used in there? To me it seems like that's where you get your power...unless im mistaken."
He relaxed. There was no point in continuing. It wasn't really important to begin with.

Adrienne had remained silent for most of the conversation, picking at the dried meat and sipping at the drink offered, being sure to nod in courtesy to Ryuma. "Would you mind if I looked at the book? Sssso long assss I don't look up at either of you, I can take the blindfold off..." Magic was of some interest to Adri, as she was always searching for a way to use it to her advantage.

The lightly tossed the book so it would land on the table next to Adri.
"Well... I suppose. Just don't pull out any off the tabs or read it aloud. It shouldn't trigger a spell, but you never know."
With that he continued eating.
