Damnit. I don't even know that person. WHy should i care what she feels. Why is this happening again. DAMNIT. I cannot let this happen to me again. I have to stop this before it happens again. I love that woman, and i killed her. This chip is the root of all evil.

With a roar of anger. Tokeru turned around and went back to the infirmary. Struggling every single step of the way. Each step was a halting one. Each step took a minute to complete as he fought with the chip.

Reaching over, he flipped a notebook open. "Now, may I assume that you could use a place to stay? We offer full room and board here in Haven for our Hunters. If you'd like, I can arrange a room for you. We still have several single rooms available, and plenty of room in the barracks. You interested?"

Ah, I see, so we variety of mortals and immortals alike who are so loosely labeled "hunters" have a Haven now, yes? This is good to hear indeed. I have a base of operations now, fully stocked, and it doesn't cost me a single thing.

Skiaska looked at Jaffar and her body leaned forward. Her head hit his shoulder and her shoulders shaked as silent tears streaked her cheeks. She had spent so much time in her life with the lycans when she had met Riona. She was accepted by some of them. The lycans that were like Riona had been her second family...

As Skiaska's head hit up against Jaffar's shoulder he wrapped his arms arounder and hugged her. A tear ran down Jaffar's cheak."Skiaska.....I'm sorry I didn't know how you would react. If I had known that they were going to be killed I would have saved them and I know you would have to."

Skiaska sniffed and quickly, the tears were gone. "Thanks... It's just, I guess..." She paused. "When you have lived two years with lycans, they become like your family. Of course, I still hunt them. But the ones I had known and lived those years with understood... They didn't feed of the mortals. I'm just wondering how they will react. They know how much I had loved the little pups." Skiaska chuckled lightly. "They were always playing, having fun... Those children were probably no different... And I couldn't protect them. There they were, staring at Briget as she killed them... How scared they must have been..."

Jaffar looked deeply at Skiaska as he spoke to her."I know what you feel. I tried to save one of them and I was attacked. Even when the lunite was biteing into my neck I saw the lunite child I let go. And my heart almost stopped.....he was shot in the head as he was running away. The furry in me grew I couldn't bear to think that someone would be so heartless."
