Kohki got up, and tried the open palm again. The clone saw this and immediately attacked. He, gracefully succeeded in the open palm technique this time.

Kohki laid on the grass, enjoying the nice breeze.
This is nice... he thought.
I have to learn the open palm.. Im not that strong.. and if I ever engage in taijutsu battle, I will be hopeless without it...

He stood up, and as soon as he did, the clone attacked him. The clone came at him at a fast speed, and at the last minute, changed it's direction, leaving Kohki off guard. When she had the chance, she slapped Kohki hard. FInaly, Kohki had enough, and decided to go home.

Maybe he just needed the right motivation for this training, something that would make tough, repetitive work always seem worthwhile. Shinichi frowned and began his search with the typical motivations of other people. Money, fame, honor... Those were all nice, but not for him. While still struggling with this, he returned to the original position and ran at the clones, glancing up to see if that shuriken was still visible.

Still nothing! Shinichi began to grow frustrated, but stopped himself. It was useless to pout like a baby anyway, especially when he had to get ready for those genin exams. Maybe that could be his motivation. Yeah, he had to get the highest score at those tests, even higher than Aya-san! Shinichi felt a new resurge of confidence and tried to practise his footwork and spot the shuriken again.

Again! The boy's swift legs carried him back to towards the clones and he glanced up to make sure the position of that shuriken. This time, he'll try a single spin combined with multiple checks. That seemed like a smart thing to do during battle and it could potentially help to multi task. Shinichi panted and pushed off the ground, tipping his chin skywards to see the hidden shuriken.

There was little time to waste, since the sun was already beginning to curve its way downwards. Shinichi knew some shinobi practised even at night, but then it would become almost impossible to perform his training. He skidded to a stop on the beaten grass and made his way back. The last time he saw her, Aya-san was an entire step ahead of him on this jutsu, although he was pretty sure she didn't learn it yet. With that in mind, Shinichi prepared himself for some more repetitions on the Dodging Palm Jutsu footwork.

If only he could learn the jutsu by successfully performing the spot sporadically. But, Kusakage-sama wouldn't allow that simply because consistency was an absolute necessity in battle. Shinichi wiped some sweat off his brow and blinked several times to get the best visibility. His eyes were sharper than many, but his vision was barely enough for this training. He ran back and attempted the rush and spot once more.

Kohki came back, full of energy, and this time, definately ready to learn the open palm. He took his stance, and waited for the clone to strike. The clone aimed towards his stomach, her usual spot.
Not this time... he thought.
As the fist came very near to his stomach, Kohki made a turn, and pushed the fist away.
That's it.. he said pleased at his technique.

Kohki didn't have mush time to celebrate. The clone quickly recovered her balance and rushed towards him. She squatted down, and kicked Kohki into the air.

As he was about to land, the clone went under him, with a fist made by her side. She launched the fist, aiming towards Kohki's stomach.
Not this time.. he thought.
He made a flip on the air, and tapped the fist away.

The clone managed to stay in place when her fist was pushed away, and managed to launch a kick towards Kohki's stomach. Kohki didn't have time to do anything about it and got hit.
