Nala's ears flicked cautiously as the cub approached, then as she sat down and introduced herself, Nala's ears abruptly perked up, "She doesnt seem so bad!" she thought to herself. "My name is Nala," she said, continuing with the introductions, "And this is Simba" she motioned to him beside her, although it was likely that Jasiri was already familiar with him from his earlier spectacle. Nala paused, unsure of what to say next, and half hoping that Simba himself would say something.

Yakuti's ears perked up a bit and she smiled, giving a light bow to the lion.
"Thats fine, I couldn't expect you to open someone with welcome arms when you hardly knew them." she stood straight again "If we do stay here... I think I could get used to it with such kind neighbors." she smiled, turning to make her way back down the rock, taking alot less time than it did to get back up it.

Wokovu blinked, following the older cub. he cocked his head at the other two lion cubs, looking at his own fur and then to theirs "Hey mines kidna like theirs.." he muttered before shaking it off and trotting up closer to them as he was introduced "Hi!" he blinked grinning "Hey.." he paused trying to remember the name nala had just said "Simba! Your a prince right? That is sooo cool.." the cub stared in awe, not even waiting for simba to say that he was, tail lashing from side to side almost playfully.

((Whee, most pathetic, short post evah' biggrin ))

-Watching the fox and young ones wander off again, Mufasa smiled a little, before turning to look for Sarabi. Hopefully she'd agree with is decision, but it couldn't hurt to gain his mate's opinion.-

Mwali couldn't help but laugh at the female's sudjestion, tossing his head back so his sides didn't ache as quickly. His laughter was a rich one- not strong in the least. It was obvious that he was still a very young lion. He composed himself enough to speak, pulling a paw over his mane to smoothe it back, "What a sudjestion! Yes I know -normal- male adult lions would rather have their own pride but I'm not a -normla- lion now am I?" He tilted his ears and looked to the lioness playfully, his long tail flicking behind him, "Considering that I've never made a kill before and I was led here by creatures that -normal- lions would have eaten for their meals shows that I'm certainly not capable to make a pride of my own nor would I want a pride of my own. I've never been responsible for anything and I don't intend to be."

He took a deep breath, turning his head to look over the land once more, "I came for a new life. In my pride I was nothing, I was a spare paw under my brother to the sucession of king. Now that he has cubs that doesn't matter. I didn't want the rank in the first place and I wasn't fond of my lifestyle. Being royalty I didn't have to do anything for myself so I never learned the things that a -normal- lion would know... including how to court a mate." He glanced to her shyly, "I heard the rumors of golden lionesses in these lands and thought that perhaps I'd find love here..."

[[-snifs- I smell luuurve whee heart Oh, and I think Exalla went on vacation :X]]

Jasiri tilted her head, and lifted one paw. She wasnt sure why she did this, but it felt right. She nodded to Simba. A real prince? That must be cool. Maybe thats why he lashed out at them before. The thought or that little cub acting all feirce made her smirk. "Do you wanna play?" She was still tired from her jorney, but not tired enough to pass up a fun time. She still didnt know where Teule was. He was probally off exploring somewhere.

Sarabi relaxed again. If Mufasa had given leave, she could accept that. Walking to him, she purred as she rubbed her cheek against his. "It is a good decision." Now her nature took over and she blinked back toward the cave. "Poor thing...comming through that desert...running from his pride...caring for all those little ones..." she walked toward the den, talking to herself on the way. "Looked so weak...must be hungry..." She tore off a large chunk from the carcass that was left. It was almost gone, so they would have to hunt soon. Tomarrow maybe... Taking the hunk of meat, she trotted out past her mate and down the side. Stopping a short distance from the male, she placed the meat on a rock. Soft crimson eyes looked him over carefully. Young, soft from royal life. He would need a lot of work if he was to live outside his pride. Sarabi's mouth crooked at one corner and she turned and trotted back up toward Mufasa.

((psst... it's suggestion whee ))

Koho's brow furrowed at his laughter, he certainly didn't seem like a Firekin. "I've always said that being normal was vastly over rated, but you should learn some self dependance, you certainly shouldn't expect to piggy back off of our hunting, only the king may do that." A rare smirk lit the femme's features, though it soon dissipated as the mention of courting came up, "You would have to speak to Mufasa about that for I have no experience in the matter." The statement was rather bluntly spoken, and it was obvious she was not in the mindset of a hopeless romantic. "I take care of the cubs in this pride, though I've never had any of my own. I adopted a few a while back, but they seemed to have since moved on." She shrugged, not really wishing to drudge up her history, but figuring some explanation was needed as to why she had no mate.

((Bah, edit))

"Thank you, My lady..." he said softly after the queen, turning his large head to offer her a smile. He couldn't help but wonder if the cubs were hungry as well... they were smaller than him and probibly needed the food more than he did. They'd come back in time. They had some exploring to do and they had far more energy than he did. His attention returned to the lioness as did the smile to his face.

"I've grown fond of cubs recently. I've taken in these- er... well you can say they took me in. I'm just a big scary thing to look at so no one really thinks to attack them. They wouldn't think that something as large as I am would be so weak." He chuckled at himself lightly, "Well if anything, would you be so kind as to giving me a few hunting lessons? I'd like nothing more than to be of some use to someone."

The old crow watched Sarabi before she fluttered down beside her, looking at the huge red male as a soft smile played with the old one's beak.
She then hopped a few feet closer to the red lion before she bowed her head apoligeticly (SP? sweatdrop ).
"My apologies for my rudeness earlier Mwali...it was not that courteous of me..." She then lookied up at him, her black beady eye's glinting softly.
"But...I must say it is a welcome relief that it is someone as gentle as you...and not your brother...or father..."
She ruffled her wing's softly as she looked at the lion, smiling more as she heard the cub's bantering on and talking to each other.

((Is it night or day? x.x I can edit this slightly whichever it is))

-Mufasa smiled softly, as he watched the compassion of his mate take over and she left his side. Just one of the many reasons he'd been so glad to have her. Beautiful.. compassionate.. intellgent..a wonderful mother.

Standing and streching his large limbs, he slowly began to make it out of the den. There was too much excitment around for him to sleep.. and he was too restless to just lay, so he set out walking. His steps were slow and unpurposeful for once as he made his way into the dark, eyes gazing up at the stars that littered the dark night sky.-

Taku had given up searching for Mataka and then ran back up to the mouth of the den, her eye's lightened up at the sight of brand new cub's and creature's to play with.
Her eye's then rested on the majestic form of Mufasa and she trotted over to him, her tail wagging playfully.
"Hello again Mufasa!" She said, in her usual cheery hyper-active tone.

Haveo stepped onto the warm boulder, a slight breeze ruffling his fur. He took a deep breath savoring the feeling of finally being in the pride lands. Haveo sighed finding that this wasn't as great as he thought seeing as how he some how lost him companion.

He stepped down from the rock and began to walk towards the huge bunch of boulders that towered over the plains. Now all I have to do...is find the others like me. Maybe my family.

((I believe its day, but should be going toward sunset by now.))

Sarabi watched Mufasa go, then walked toward the group of cubs. "Is anyone hungry?" She asked quietly. "There is some food left in the corner of the cave if you are. It what's left of a zebra kill a little while ago. Should be just enough for everyone, if you're careful."

"You shouldn't be so self-deprecating young prince, and no matter what land you are in, a royal title will stick. And yes, I will be happy to give you hunting lessons. Do you wish to start now? It's a perfect time, the night walkers are not out yet, and the day walkers are sleepy and slow. Or do you wish to simply eat tonight and begin in the morning?" Her back had been turned to Sarabi's offering, though her sharp nose could easily pick out the meat's smell from the air, "I must say, it was good zebra...." A light smile flicked to her face, though it slowly dulled, waiting for the other's decision.

He chuckled a bit, lowering his head to rest on his paws. He coudln't think of trying to hunt then and there, his body was terribly sore from the walk, he hardly had the drive to scoot over to the zebra leg, "As much as I'd love to spend such a wonderful evening with such a lovley lioness such as yourself hunting I'm afraid in my current state I wouldn't be much good in learning. If it's no bother, can we set the hunting time in the morning?"
