Brayden was jolted from his contented sleep by the cold blast of water that issued from the Totodile. He jumped with a yelp, shielding his face from the spray with his arm, disorientated for a long while before he realized what had happened.
"What the?" he muttered, shaking a gloved hand that was now sopping wet. The glove squished, dripping a bit, but the shake did little to dislodge the water that had taken up residence.
"Didn't think I needed a shower, but whatever," he spoke to himself, as he glanced around, trying to find the source of the water. The diminutive crocodile that met his gaze with a toothy grin was enough hint as to what had happened.
"Ken?" he asked, spotting the other trainer who had joined up with them. "What's the big idea, I thought-" he paused, seeing the commotion on the other side of the clearing. Mian fighting against Kaya was something he thought he'd never expect to see in this lifetime, but there they were.
Brayden watched in silence as the two finished their scuffle, as he couldn't help listening in on their turn of conversation, and watched as they seemed to prepare for battle once more.

Chloe was also jolted awake by the jet of water, and was a bit surprised to find all of her belongings soaking wet. As she wrung out her bag, she looked up to find the others already up.
She caught the last part of the fight between Kaya's strange alter-ego and Mian, and stood, seeing the darker side retreat for the time being.
"Anyone know what that tidal wave was about?" she complained, wringing another batch of water from her ponytail.
She saw Kaya and Brayden, making her way over to them, "What's going on?" she asked.

"Yeah, it was an eye-opener," Chloe stuck her tongue out. "I'm very cold, and it feels like I'm carrying an extra 10lbs with all the water that's gotten into my clothes."
"And speaking of clothes, that certainly is an odd request," Chloe murmured, referring to the alter's demands. "I suppose if I was trapped inside someone, Id ask for a bit of free time, but the clothing request was a bit different."
