A small fishing boat was on the shore of the sea, a wisened man sitting in there. "Um excuse me, would you mind taking us to Dewford? I know it's far, but maybe somehow I can pay you." The man awoke from his slumber to see a Magikarp swimming away.

Poochyena and Zigzagoon snapped at Goldeen and Magikarp while Shroomish huddled under a bench inside the boat, afraid of the water. "Mudkip!" Mudkip finally got Marill onboard, and was now asking Day to capture it with a ball. Reluctantly, since she didn't know if it would work, Day held out a pokeball in front of Marill.

The fisherman, who was rowing across the sea, tried it himself. Marill went and stayed inside, which came as a surprise to the delighted fisherman!
