Akira was watching Kashi closely. She didn't recognize to look that crossed his face but did not shrug it off, she stored it away, she'd find out what that was. She ate quickly, like usual and eyes Kashi's portion...like usual. Some distance away the girl was being harrassed. It was closer to the door, some table lengths away from where Akira and Kashi stood. The girl was holding a drink laden tray and trying to get around the insistent man. She gave an exasperated sigh and stomped on the man's instep. He stiffened and her fist came up quickly. His head snapped back from the blow. She then kicked him out the door adn walked to her table, her tray had not been upset and she was back to her courteous smiles.
Lotus stared at him for a second. He looked very different from when she last saw hiim. That little box of emotion flucuated and emotion escaped. She ran forward with a high screeching and began beating on Choas' chest. They weren't meant to hurt, and they didn't, they were blows accompanied by grief and anger ridden sobs, incorherent words spilled out as abundantly as tears. She finally was panting and sobbing so hard she just clung to his shirt and cried into his chest, her small frame quaking with the force of her sobbing.
((emotional, much?))

Kashi finished about half of his stew and then pushed it to Akira, he didn't eat a great amount, if he did, it was more than Akira could eat. He rose and nodded to her. "Stay here Akira...I'll be right back." He stepped along slowly to near the waitress and then looked down at her slightly with a smile. "You wouldn't mind if I had a word with you would you Miss?" His eyes smiled, despite his nature that many knew.
Sakura simply stood there looking down at her. He turned his head away from her for a bit. "Lotus, you're not looking for me. You're looking for Chaos, please don't get us mixed up. You shouldn't search out for the one known as Chaos, for he brings only what his name implies, Chaos. Give him up and please live a better life than he, teach, become better than this war, and be the best you can. Don't fall into the trap they've set..." His eyes looked down at her, smiling softly, but still not holding her, nor seeming to wish to do so.

Lotus looked up. Her face was red adn blotchy and she wiped her face on a kercheif she produced from her sleeve, "What do you mean, you are Chaos...or at least you were. I don't wish to kill anyone, I just wanted to see him--you again. My father left you something." She turned away and fumbled with her belongings, producing a sword. Not hers, it was the second one, one she had never unsheathed. She also produced a necklace with a simple pendant, a bit bigger than a coin, "I decided that my father wouldn't want me to live my life in hatred, constantly trying to seek revenge but I still wanted to see you again anyway, plus I had to give these to you." She held both out, looking at the ground.
Akira nodded silently and set herself upon Kashi's portion.
The waitress looked up with surprise, "Oh, I'm sorry if the meal was a bit bland, did you want me to return it to th cook?" She asked quietly.

Sakura watched her for a bit and then looked at the items. "I suppose I can tell it to you like this...Through Chaos' travels, he thought a great deal, fought with himself constantly, and eventually left to find himself. Well...in a way the original Chaos seperated into two people, Chaos, and Sakura. Chaos...doesn't like many people any longer...but it doesn't matter any longer.
"Why would you give me these two things Lotus? I don't kill, and when I do I have a god blade for it. I truly have no use to kill any longer. It produces little good except to save some from time to time..." He takes the weapon and necklace up into his hand and looks down at her. "This is weighted differently, but oddly, not badly at all."

Lotus blinked at what she had just heard. She sniffled gently again and wiped her nose with her kerchief still not lookign at him. She'd later realize she never took any time to mourn her father's death she had always posponed it. She was relieved that she was finally able to let it out. Now she looked up at him, "I've got no where else to go and marriage is out of the question, I won't turn into one of those women..." She growled the last part, "I made that necklace, its made of a very strong metal, I would suggest you wear it concealed under your shirt...My papa left a note to give you the sword, I think...I think he made it especially for you." She suddenly got on her knees adn touched her forehead to the floor, "Thank you for suffering my presence. I suppose it is fortunate I foudn the more cordial half of Chaos."

Sakura watched her for a bit and nodded slowly, "I see...I'll keep them both then...oh and Lotus? You should consider marriage...and remember this when you consider it. Every grown woman in this village could defeat you...There is no reason you can't love Lotus-dono...you just must find it again." He turns walking to the door and then stopped.
He spoke toward the door. "You wouldn't have wanted to wanted to meet Chaos again though Lotus-dono...he has a mind to kill you." He the stepped out the house toward the forges to check up on Yumi from afar.
Kashi smiles at the woman and motions with his head toward the door where she kicked the other man out. "I wanted to talk about your skills in fighting...I think you might find that more interesting than this job ne?" He smiles at her his hand resting on her opposing shoulder as if he was a good friend. "If you wish to talk with Akira and I about it come to the inn across the street. Ask for Kashi, and they'll send you up to me."
He smiles at her and then walks away to Akira. He nods to her. "Come on. He tosses out a bag onto the table. It was well over the amount for just the beef pot. He then turned to walk with Akira past the waitress with a small smile and out the door to go to the inn. He had plenty of money and didn't have to worry about that kind of thing. He would enter the inn to get a room now.

Lotus sat up with abruptly and called out after him, "Thank you!" She stayed on the floor for awhile, thinking, she regarded the little box. It had gathered dust from her long inattention to it. She smiled and left it alone, it sat still an silent. She poked her head the door a bit cautiously, she really didn't want to provoke anyone, and spotted the woman she had seen earliar. She was about to wave but was stopped by a wave of apprehension and she went back to the bed she had woken up on, staring down at her lap. She distantly heard her stomach growl but she didn't care, she was tired again; all that excitement no doubt. Then she heard it, Metal? Metal working! She stood up again and went to the door, looking out, she could hear the sound of someone hammering metal and her longing to go see was so intense it made her heart ache. She was nearly jittery all of a sudden, as if the house was her prison but she needed to go somewhere, she hailed the woman she'd seen ealiar finally.
The waitress was very surprised by such an offer but she kept her face carefully neutral, smiling politely when they left. She was again surprised by the payment. After work she went to her little home; a little shack behind a dojo and severely thought about it. The next thing she knew, she was on her way to the inn and asking for the man Kashi. She knocked on their door.
Akira had been hyper since they left the restaurant, causing mischeif here and there so by the time they got to the inn, she was sleeping heavily on the bed.

Yumi listened to the mans lecture with her head tilted to the side and smiling slightly. I'm actually finding this interesting? How peculiar, but I beleive this man will be able to teach me more than most people I've met before. And so Yumi decided to stay with Masamune. Yumi took the peice... and immediately dropped it.
"Holy SH... I mean... that peice was really heavy... how am I ever going to be able to lift it?" Yumi gave Masamune a suspicious glare, then the steel a vicious stare.
"How? Is that supposed to be something I should easily lift?" Yumi was seriously hoping the man wouldn't answer with a 'yes'. Already feeling very useless and weak Yumi probably looked like a small kitten with its ears flat to the head.

The woman looked at Lotus after she was hailed and nodded a bit. "You're wondering about the metal-working? That would probably be Yumi-dono with Masamune. Well...no...No more metal working at the moment. Maybe he's teaching her about sword-making. My, it's odd that Masamune would take on a stranger, even if Sakura asked him too...oh well. I doubt he'll help you, but his shop's over there. Be warned that in two day's time you'll be asked to leave this village..." The woman then walked away from her slowly.
Kashi lifted his gaze to the door to look at it with a slight smile. Akira was sleeping on the ground like the normal Japanese beds were. He called out to the wooden like sliding door. "Come in Miss Waitress...I've been waiting for you." He watched the door, his blood red eyes, which was oddly normal for him, looking at it, waiting for her to enter. He would eventually awake Akira to see what she thought. Maybe they would get along. He would have to start getting together all the great swords...he needed them all.
Masamune chuckled and shook his head. "I didn't expect you to lift it with that first try. Women usually can't as they train in speed more often then strength. Sword making is not meant for the weak Yumi-dono. You have to want to do it greatly. It is a passion that drives you farther than the farthest star. The swords I made were nearly perfect, and my god sword was amazing, but I've continued and kept getting better. Masamune, Marasume, Murasame, Musamane. The four god smiths. Each had their own way with blades. I never want to hear that you became like Murasame...the devil god smith. His blades were to kill, and were known as demon blades. But it doesn't matter.
"I want you to work today, and all day, till you can at least hold that metal up for 5 minutes. I don't care how, as long as it isn't on your back, touching the ground, and is in your hand or hands. Understand? If you finish it fast enough then we can start on blade work. Remember Yumi-dono, you must want to do it. Your passion must overtake the pain, and hardships you'll feel..." Masamune smiled at her before walking back to his anvil and put a long piece of steel back into the fire to heat it back up.
Sakura sat in a tree, unseen to Masamune and Yumi. Even if Lotus walked to the forge he wouldn't be seen...it was his forte afterall to hide, and do it well. He simply sat, watching, thinking, and smiling.

Lotus felt a jolt in her stomach at what the woman said. All fear flooded out of her and she ran after the woman and stood before her, her voice frantic. She shot out of the room and headed towards the metal working shop. She skidded to a halt and stumbled into the doorway and froze.
She opened the door slowly, peering in before stepping through the threshhold. She kneeled near the doorway and bowed, "My name is Jade, sir." She straightened, "Because of my eyes sir. Thank you for recieving me." She spoke in her quiet almost whispery voice and did not look at him directly, her eyes settling on the little girl sleeping quite deeply on a mat.

Masamune heard the girl, despite his new work, long before she got on the road to his shop. He didn't look up though at her, keeping head down to work on the piece of metal before him. Yumi would be working, so there was no reason to instruct her, and he wasn't taking on another to teach. It would be too much trouble, and just from her aura she didn't seem like someone he would take on.
Kashi watched her and then looked to Akira. "Well Jade, come have a seat. We shall speak. Where did you learn your martial arts?" Kashi looked up at her with his eyes now. "And don't look down. Be confident around me, and be proud of who you are." He smiles, chuckling slightly.

Jade blushed, stood adn looked at him directly. She moved forward after closing the door adn sat down a little closer but not much closer, "From my family." She said shortly, "Then from different masters."
Different emotions clamored for attention in Lotus' head. He was standign right there, right there. He looked exactly the same. But soemthign was wrong, she could feel it and it made the butterflies in her stomach take flight and ram against her stomach wall. She finally unlocked her throat and managed to croak, "Father....?"

Uh... how... I'm not very good at stuff like this... think think think think... Yumi sat down to... think. She stared at the stone, studied the environment and sat there spaced out a long while. Maybe... slowly Yumi started developing a plan. If I do this... then that... then... but would I be allowed to do that? Maybe if I do something like that instead. Yumi was working so hard that she didn't even notice that an hour was quickly passing by. Then suddenly she got up.
"I'll be right back..." She said to Masamune, then rushed away, heading for the village.

Masamune watched Yumi rush away, he chuckled and then looked at the girl who had called him father. He looked nothing like the man that Chaos had killed. He cocked an eyebrow. "You are Lotus are you not? Your father has been dead a long time, he was killed by Chaos. I won't teach you this art either. Your father made weapons of death. I won't teach you what he knew, or I know. You should go rest, you'll have a long journey tommorow when you leave."
He turned back and began to hammer onto the blade he was toying with. It was a very large, and long blade. His eyes floating along it as he worked, his arm pounding down to make an odachi. Not a normal one, but instead a bit...altered. His eyes looked over that large blade as he hammered it. He wasn't Lotus' father, and was far from it. He shook his head at the sadness of her life though. Believeing that her father was alive just because there was a blacksmith near. Such foolishnes...
Kashi smiled at her for a while and nodded slowly, I see...Do you enjoy fighting Jade? Does it make you feel a bit better at least? Invigorating your heart, making your heart beat, and muscles tense. Do your fists love to attack another Jade? Or are you content with being grabbed at by men, and having a small job with little pay, and less fun...What do you want Jade?" He smiled at her, his eyes watching from behind his bangs. Eventually he would have Akira wake up and come examine her. He didn't want just anyone to come into his presence after all. He felt she would agree and like this woman, Jade.

Jade's eyes blazed angrily, "I cannot think of any woman with self respect that would liek being grabbed like that." She calmed after an angry outburst and thought back, "I do have to say fighting is invigorating, a full blown fight, not the little things I do to keep those barbarians off of me." She said a bit distantly as if she were thinking as she answered. She answered this way because she did not know her other self. Her half that nearly went into a frenzy at the scent of blood. She was looking at her lap again, habit taking over.
Two emotions came to the fore. One was confusion. Why did he have the name Masamune. She had seen him more clearly and he did not look like her father...okay, maybe a little but maybe because she wanted him to. The other was anger, anger at his presumptuousness. She had not asked anythign from him! She glared at the man's back, "Then who are you? Are you related to my father, you bear his name?"
