Lina watched watched the Bastet leader silently before following her. She then turned her gaze to Remus.

Remus looked at Lina, unsure as to whether to say anything. He couldn't be sure what to keep under wraps so he simply said nothing.

Lina sighed before preparing to speak. Rikku was an ally, so she had a right to know. But she didn't have to know it all...not yet, "I gave Remmus permission to look in the ancient book of the Leaders....and as I said before, he saw the riddle."

He knew he needed a better reason than that or else Rikku would't understand their lack of energy. A small gleam of entertainment entered his eye. "We wore ourselves out quite thoroughly sparring before that." He smiled mischeivously at Lina.

Lina laughed lightly and nodded, "We fought too well and are suffering for it..." at least it was still pretty close to the truth. She showed her some of the bruises and the cuts on her ankle as proof.

Rikku looked at Remus and nodded then smiled at him "Lina,even fighting you Remus would not pass out like that. I may not be as intelligent and i may seem even childish but im not stupid enough to believe that. I have no doubt you two were sparing since i can smell blood on the both of you, and Lina you may have your reasons to keep this from me for now but dont try and hide behind childish lies"

Lina had to admit that if she was at her full strength, the lie would have been mor eeffective, espeially if she had put a spell to back it up. But now was not the time, "Rikku, I have told you all that and ally and a friend should know. The rest is something only someone who experienced it would understand." she replied calmly, letting it be her way of closing the subject.

With difficulty, Remus shifted back into his human shape. He leaned on his cane a little, but not nearly as much as he had previously. He hoped Rikku would have the sense not to pursue the subject further.

Lina nodded, understanding comepletely. In her weakness she had forgotten how observant Rikku could be, "I will do so in the future." she said, looking at Rikku apologetically before walking past them and into the darkened area where Lotan lay waiting.

coming out of the water Rikku shook herself off then changed back into her vampire form and jumped up into a tree and stared at Lina curiously
