Character name, rank, and a link to their journal Senshi Actaea of the Harvest
HP: Koed
Action:
Damage
Location: F2

Actaea felt the strange waves of chaos going through her body but she was too weak to move and she was stuck where she was being hit by waves of power and was unable to move. She felt crazed as the chaos magic entered her body. It was good and bad she was unable to do anything. She couldn't help, but she also couldn't hurt anyone. She didn't want to become corrupted this was a terrifying feeling. She cried out in pain feeling the waves of dark power surrounding her. She sat there struggling with the feeling of darkness all around her.

Actaea summons a spectral, semi-transparent circle of wheat around one target of her choice, and a spectral scythe begins to slash at the wheat--and the target. The scythe cannot be controlled or wielded and will appear as though it is just trying to reap the wheat. The wheat field has a five foot diameter around the target and will follow them even if they run. target will feel the sensation of being slashed at while the harvest is occuring; the pain will end when the magic fades, though players can choose to take physical damage at their discretion. The target must be within her line of sight, and the magic will last for 30 seconds and can be used 3 times per battle.

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal Hyperborea, Transcended Knight of the Cosmos
HP: 100 - 14 (Prehnite attack) - 14 (Wolframite attack) (Article of Resilience: -1 to all damage taken) = 72 HP
Action: Moving to D4 to attack Lyndin
Damage 7 (1d10) + 7 (Third Rank Bonus) + 5 (Knight Magic Bonus 1st use, 2nd use, 3rd use) + 1 (Article of Strength: +1 to all damage dealt) = 20
Location: B2 to D4

Hyperborea didn't think she could be more horrified by the proceedings of today but everything that was happening in the center of this mess with Lyndin and Caedus. Hyperborea bit her lip as she thought about what to do. "You're right." She said to Delphi. "I think...I think we have to get that starseed back now. What ever is going on here that is clearly as important as these generators." Plus they needed to save Caedus if they could, if he was a victim in all of this just like them then he deserved there protection.

Two blasts hit her and sent her stumbling as she grit her teeth against the pain. "I'm heading to the center I've got to try and stop Lyndin." She informed the others she would understand if they chose to stay and focus on the generator but she believed the starseed was the more important target at this moment.

She she took off running praying silently in her head. 'Lady Cosmos I've never called on you before but please if you can hear me help us. We need you.' As she made it to the center. "Lyndin, you b*****d, unhand the starseed now!" She demanded as she raised her staff calling down an explosion of starlight on the Comodore.

Knight Magic
She holds up her staff as the head glows silver. It creates a bright explosion of silver starlight with Hyperborea at the center. It blinds and disorientates everyone else caught in the blast with their eyes open. It causes a great burning pain in her enemies and can at player discretion leave a sunburn like wound on people.

Corrupt Eternal Super Sailor Kamacite
HP: 172 - 8 (Hati) = 164
Action: KOing Hati.
Damage 4 (roll) + 7 (rank) + 2 (magic) + 10 (special mission) + 5 (special) = 28
Location: B6

Kamacite was notably startled when a Senshi (Hati) nearly twice his size in height and weight launched himself at him, taking him easily to the ground. Had he been ready for it, he might have been able to withstand the attack. He’d trained for hours with Aue to learn how to displace the weight of someone larger than himself and throw them off--

But they hadn’t gone over being grabbed by the neck. And his heart was suddenly broken once again by the reminder of the unknown fate of his packmate.

A pack that no longer existed.

He tried to let out a cry for help, but fingers were wrapped tightly around his throat. He dug at the Senshi’s wrists with his nails to try and get him to release him, and tried kicking with his legs as he was pinned beneath him.

He couldn’t breathe -- couldn’t think -- his eyes were filled with tears as he felt his throat being crushed by this much larger man.

He couldn’t see Faustite to try to get his help. Or his white haired Senshi friend. He knew Axinite couldn’t afford to leave his post, and Kamacite did not want to be the reason he had to.

Darkness filled his vision as he struggled to try and claw at the hands around his throat, preventing him to breathe, preventing him from being able to speak.

Kamacite grit his teeth and glared up at the man, before releasing both of Hati’s wrists and shoving his hands against his face and thought with all of his heart, Solar flare!

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Solar Flare
There is a brilliant flash of light causing temporary but immediate disorientation and blindness that fades into horribly spotty vision; can last upwards of twenty seconds. The attack does not cause physical damage and is intended as a diversion or distraction. Has an effect radius of 8 feet (although the flash can be seen as one would see any flash), and can be used three times.

Damage
Location: F2 > D2

Coco felt sick to her tummy as waves of chaos filled the battlefield and she was hit by another wave of power she ran out of the area of battlefield she was in. She needed to catch her breath and figure out what her next move was going to be. She heard something about another purification as she passed and then she went to try and not throw up as she tried to catch her breath she wondered what they were going to do. Would any of them get out of this without falling to darkness? Coco frowned looking around at what the aliens had done.

Lacaille was overcome by a feeling of violence and she ran to one of the generators and threw one of her magic books at it. She was shocked at herself, she hadn't even thought her magic would be any use in this battle, but the chaos on the battlefield was messing with her head and she was overcome by the desire to attack and destroy everything around her. She felt like she had no choice in the matter and she didn't understand what was going on. So she was just going to destroy until the feeling passed since there was nothing else for it.

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal Pendour
HP: 75
Action: Attacking the main console
Damage d10+ 5 (rank) + 2 (squire bonus) = 17
Location: D4

Pendour's gaze did not leave Lyndin for a long time. She watched as the attacks bounced off of him. She barely even looked away when the commander died, did not flinch even then except to rake another line of scratches across her own arms.

She watched Lyndin. She listened to him. Pendour always listened, even in times when others had given up on such things. What she heard in Lyndin's voice was not so different than what she'd heard in the voices of countless others in this war. It was a stiff, controlled sort of desperation, the kind of thing that she tended to hear in people's words when they were justifying war, and murder, and Chaos, even.

Chaos.

She felt the sickening pulse of Chaos from Lyndin's glove. It seemed there was no way that Caedus's starseed was going to be safe somewhere like that, and she was about to tell him so, maybe even to beg, with more tears in her eyes this time, to give it back.

The blast came before she could do that.

She skidded backwards, her shell-studded heels pulling up clumps of grass from the hillside. It didn't hurt, but it took all her focus not to fall face first into the ground, and Lyndin and the starseed were suddenly so much farther away.

Something else shifted.

More Chaos. The air itself felt dark as dark. She could feel it, so thick that it was crawling over her skin, trying its hardest to claw its way deeper. Pendour's starseed shone bright with the power of her Wonder.

Darkness found no purchase in her own soul, but others were not so lucky. She saw patches of black crawling across bodices. As she scanned the battlefield for a desperate second, she thought she caught sight of Alya with a set of claws.

She looked back to Caedus, his still-breathing body tucked against the main device.

She thought of the way that she'd given him her energy, the way that they'd talked about their pasts with the Negaverse, the way that she'd bringing him self-help books so that he could maybe have a future that wasn't so haunted.

She wanted him to see that future.

Her eyes flicked after Lyndin, after the starseed.

It would have been a simpler thing if Caedus wasn't the only one in danger.

She'd seen Oberon earlier, and Sessrumnir with him. They'd helped her survive when they'd all been teleported off and held hostage in that mist monster's forest. Oberon had held her when it had all ended up in a battle and she'd found herself panicking hard, and he'd bought her mermaid socks after. She didn't want to see either of the brothers with eyes that were empty and frigid cold.

Alya had saved her life and talked to her about his childhood. She didn't want him to end up as something with twisted claws, something that was not even human.

Encke, by her side, glowed the way that she did, but the weapon still drained, and the Chaos in the air only grew thicker and thicker. She knew that she did not want to see her best friend succumb to the thing that he had fought so hard to protect himself against, that he did everything in his power to protect others from.

There were others that she had not seen, or that she did not know, but that did not mean that they deserved to have Chaos rip through their souls and take everything from them, the way that it had taken so much from so many others.

Pendour's eyes flicked away from Lyndin, back towards the generator.

There was no softness left in her face. Her eyes were full of iron, the set of her jaw tighter than it had been in years. She ran a thumb across the smooth surface of her ocarina.

Then she threw it with all her strength towards the center console.

A flare of energy hit her in the face and she staggered back from the youma on fire with a wince. Then the generator went off with a blast and she stumbled backwards even further. Asmodeous and Hati were doing so well, her pack mates, her strong brother and his even stronger girlfriend and --

A corrupt lasted out with claws and Skoll saw darkness.

The Super Senshi of the Pack crumpled to the ground, blood pouring from slashes on her fuku, even before Chaos began to pulse from the generators around them. It clawed at her motionless body, trying to sink it's teeth in and change her.

Vela felt the wave of chaos and it would figure as soon as she was purified she was tossed right back into the darkness along with everyone else on this battlefield. Then she saw a very angry figure coming her way and she frowned well this wasn't good she was afraid. Vela didn't have much power and she wasn't sure what to do, she felt sick from becoming a white moon and sick from the waves of chaos and she leaned over and threw up. This day really sucked a lot. She hoped she would regain her composure soon or she would be useless in this battle.

ATTEMPTING TO USE HIS CRYSTAL TO PURIFY THE AMBIENT CHAOS SEEPING FROM THE GENERATOR BEFORE IT CAN FORCIBLY CORRUPT

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal Prince Castor of Hail
HP: 125
Action: Purification attempt to block forced corruption :') *honks clown nose* (Please see note at bottom of post)
Damage NA?
Location: D4

He wished he did not understand. Wished, he could not see the conviction in Lyndin, did not understand the drive, the motivation, the will- the pain.

The long, slow pain of knowing that you were on borrowed time, and that to survive, you would need to kill a part of yourself, harden it, cast it aside in order to see your goal through.

He wished he did not see Lyndin, and understand that had things been different, they could have helped one another. They perhaps, could have even had been allies with their shared goal, their dream of their worlds, their people, restored.

But such things were idle fancies. Such dreams were but dreams, and Helios could only let them bee seen, never able to bring them into reality.
Dreams did not save people.

But actions, sacrifices, will and, if he were honest with himself he would admit, hope would. Hope, Cosmos had told him, was what they had, it was what they need, what they had to have if they were to survive, to succeed, to live. Hope... was his brother's daughter, and her laughter. Hope was his brother, smiling and singing to their family in Italian over dinner. Hope was seeing a friend lock away their henshin pen, and fade into the throng of people, a life they had wished for over a thousand years finally found. Hope was a corrupt senshi willing to have their soul ripped asunder and then put back together again if just for one more lifetime with the one they loved. Hope was a man and woman who were bound to a force that opposed him yet understood his love for their shared people. Hope was a princess who's heart had broken yet still defied death, and would rise against it once again. Hope was a fool who only lived for challenge but was willing to cross lines to find his happiness even for a breif time. Hope was a royal, defiantly purifying in front of an avatar of Chaos while death echoed around her. Hope was a group of children standing together against one who'd steal their future. Hope were cats, trying to even the odds while knowing they held so little power. Hope was a long absent ally, greeting him like an old friend.

Hope, Cosmos had told him, was what he needed to have.

As Lyndin moved, cradling the starseed, confirming his suspicions- Hope was not enough.

"Do what you think will save your people Lyndin." Castor said, as Chaos touched him, as it crackled against him, a familiar touch and brush of a death of self he knew too well.
"But know I will do anything to save my own."

Calling his crystal so close to the generator would hurt, he knew it would lash back, it would, could, likely kill him. That if he did this, he very well may die in his attempts. But order, senshi, knights, cats- around him he could see the chaos, feel it seeping, reaching in and coiling inside them all- All he had done, all he had ever done, was try to give them a future, to give them a better life, even if it would be granted until their rebirth.

All he ever wanted was to wake up again under twin suns, and know he was home.

Hope was not enough, no matter what Cosmos had told him. Hope would not save them- actions could.

As he reached inside himself, unfolding his palm, his crystal shining, a glittering white blue, he knew he had made his choice. Anything it took. Anything it demanded. He would give it, and he would give it gladly. Even if they hated him, resented him, did not trust him, he would do what he knew had to be done to secure them their future. To secure them a way home.

Castor closed his eyes as he let his power roll though him, as he let the storm that resided in his power manifest, as his hand touched chaos-

As he prayed for forgiveness for his selfish dream of a home he'd lost.

Note
I am fully aware that this current mechanic is to facilitate side-swaps in the meta and I am not taking action to stop, impact, or otherwise derail that or any players who choose to do so. I am only doing this action for ~*narrative flavor*~ because I'm a sucker and b***h for the drama and what the GMs do with this I do accept there will be consequences. It's Castor who just wants order and balance and for people who are not chaos to..not... die. :')

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal Super Sailor Cybele
HP: 12
Action: Emotional breakdown
Damage n/a
Location: E2

She had stumbled backwards, out of danger, out of the worst of the ambush. As she got closer to Ganymede and the others, the corrupt's magic finally wore off, and Cybele began to feel a bit warmer, a bit less alone.

Then, the comet-draining device fired.

Just the sight of it was enough to shake Cybele. This was what she'd been suspicious of from the beginning, what she'd been actively fighting against for the last several minutes.

What happened next was worse.

The generators, overtaken by the Negaverse, brightened. The air felt heavy, full of a sickening amount of Chaos.

Cybele's starseed was fragile, nearly broken from all of the trauma it had been through over the last year or so. When she'd purified, it had ached for days, and that pain had continued to flare up every once in a while for a few months before finally seeming to settle down for good.

Now it burned, almost worse than ever before.

If she hadn't been near Ganymede, Cybele would have corrupted in an instant. As it was, things were slower.

With a choked gasp, she clutched at her chest, only to find tiny cracks beginning to form there.

"No," she whispered, and then louder, cried, "No!"

Black patches bloomed against the hem of her skirt. The flowers on her tiara withered back to thorns.

She hadn't cried at the pain of the attacks she'd endured, or at the senshi's magic, but now her eyes watered, and her breaths came in shaky gasps.

"I can't do this again. I can't do this anymore," she cried, falling to her knees in the grass. If the Generals, if Laurelite, were listening, she spoke to them. "Just kill me, all right? Just kill me. Please. I'm a traitor."

Cadet Neryn
HP: 50
Action: Blindly walking towards Lyndin
Damage: NA
Location: F2 - > E3

Go Valyria told her. Go. Go where? Go with Lyndin? With the man who would doom all these people to Metallia simply for wanting to protect themselves? To protect their world? Like Lyndin wanted to do with Velenia and Velencya? What... what could Neryn do? What should Neryn do? What--

Follow your orders, Cadet. It's easier if you just don't think. Just follow your orders and don't think

Chaos licked around them, but didn't touch them. Some seemed to be purifying, others corrupting - the royals wouldn't be able to keep up with the influx of Chaos energy, they figured. Earth was lost. Those who were trying to fight against Lyndin were lost. It was all lost.

But Velenia could still be saved.

Neryn pushed themselves up, still not really seeing anything, and turned towards their Commadore. For Velencya, For Velenia.

For Velencya, For Velenia.

For Velencya, For Velenia.

Blindly, slowly, Neryn walked towards Lyndin and their way home. They didn't think of the people they were abandoning, of the cadets that would never go home. Of those of the White Moon being sacrificed for their world. Neryn didn't think at all, just put one foot in front of the other.

Castor’s desperation was not rejected by the universe, but the odds weren’t in his favor. The extreme burst of power seemed to agitate Caedus’ starseed, and another volatile burst of energy shot out--at the grass, at the console, at him.

Lyndin didn’t seem to be giving Castor much attention; his focus was on the starseed, on the Vanguard. He didn’t make any effort to stop Castor--but then, he didn’t have to.

He did his best to shield the starseed in his hands, to protect it, but the Chaos in the air was too saturated.

Caedus’ may have had a mismatched, patched together, unawakened Senshi starseed, but it was still a mutated, grotesque abomination of a Royal Starseed.

And, Royal Starseeds did not play well with each other.

The tension in the air gathered around him. For a second, everything was still.

The Chaos amplified around Castor, in a rapid, dangerous maelstrom.

And then, the energy exploded around him, shoving him back from the console and away from Caedus’ exposed starseed with bruising force.

His crystal was open, exposed, and weak to the Chaos building around him.

Cadet Naeria
HP: 3
Action: Heading slowly towards Lyndin
Damage: N/A
Location: Still C3

The weapon fired.

Something shifted in the air, although Naeria could not put her finger on what it was. Some of the Order members seemed to be struggling, their clothes changing colors and such. Naeria did not understand. Naeria was not sure that she cared.

Her head still spun. Her vision blurred. She stood there, clinging to Andreyia and glad that those around did not seem to be paying much attention to the two of them for the time being.

It was a relief when she heard Lyndin's voice in the ComTech, solid and familiar. He was calling them back. He must be seeing just how things were going wrong. He must have seen that the Negaverse and some of Order were both turning on them.

He wasn't asking her to die. He was still there for them.

Whatever was happening with Caedus still made her stomach twist, but Naeria nodded against Andreyia's chest before taking a few weak steps back towards the Commodore.

"Let's go back," she whispered to him. "Let's go home."

Vígríðr, Page of Jupiter
HP: 50
Action: Channeling heroic encouragement at Cybele, then moving to punch the main console.
Damage 6 (dice roll) + 3 (rank bonus) + 1 (faction bonus) = 10 dmg
Location: E2>D4

This entire conflict had been a blur to Vígríðr, as chaotic as it was. To think, just barely a week ago he'd been inducted into an ancient brotherhood spanning the solar system. Called to defend his wonder and its history, to serve as part of the greater good to stand as both sword and shield against the creeping darkness that would devour all light in the galaxy. Lesser men would have cowed at the implications, splintered under the weight of the responsibility and knowledge of what was out there, what Order faced. Halden Algar was not a lesser man, nor did he spare a second thought to fear.

After all, many of his wildest dreams had come true. There were men and women beyond the heavens, shining beacons of hope in the firmament. It may not have proven the existence of Yggdrasil or the Æsir, but Halden could see the beginnings of from whence the legends of his forefathers had sprung. Asgard, Valhalla. Perhaps these were truly places he could one day visit, if what he had learned of Jupiter's knighthood so far was to be believed. Now he stood as Vígríðr, taking the first steps on his journey toward greatness.

The page had not spent the entirety of the battle thus far cowering in fear at the overwhelming amount of force the Negaverse had brought to bear in defending their infernal contraption and the traitor, Lyndin. No, he was all to aware that even with his new fantastic strength he still paled in comparison to many of the combatants strewn throughout the battlefield. The tall man was playing this is smartly as he could, because brawn supported by strategy could often overcome dismal odds. That wasn't to say it wasn't difficult to resist the urge to charge at the first agent he'd seen, however.

His travels had brought him nearer to the center of the conflict, he was within shouting distance of the main console when the entire array had hummed to life. The whole of the atmosphere seemed to change, pulsing with... wrongness.

"By Odin's beard," Vígríðr grumbled, bending almost double as the first wave of Chaos energy washed over him with an accompanying rush of nausea.
"What foul magicks do these heathens call upon?"

Considering this was his first real battle he didn't have much of a barometer by which to judge Chaos energy, but even he could tell this was superfluous. As if to confirm the assessment, a woman nearby had fallen to her knees and was crying out for someone to kill her. Darkness was blossoming across her form, seeming to chip away at her very being. So this is what they fought against, he and the rest of Order. This eldritch parasite that would consume everything.

Across the battlefield, those he could sense as allies were all suffering various effects of the sickening waves of Chaos pulsing from the console ahead. Certainly Vígríðr himself had been taken aback, but he could feel his starseed (that's what they were called, weren't they?) flaring against the talons that clawed at his essence. A page he may have been, but whatever his power lacked in resistance was bolstered by his unwavering courage and passion. He hadn't just become part of his dreams to have them snatched away by the first wayward fools he'd come across.

First things first. A knight-in-training would do his best to support his comrades in need, and he could sense that the tormented woman was an ally. He wasn't quite sure how he knew, he just did. Straightening to his full height, the page strode purposefully over to where Cybele knelt and bowed slightly, clapping an encouraging hand upon her trembling shoulder. Vígríðr gave a firm, reassuring squeeze.

"Take heart, my friend. Chaos shall find no purchase in a soul defiant. Let your courage flare bright and eternal!"

He gave his most brilliant smile to the senshi.

"I know not whether it is possible, as there is much I do not yet know, but if you can I welcome you to share in my vigor. Let us stand mighty against those that would see us fall!"

The page's free hand clenched into a fist, thumping smartly against his own chest.

"You will prevail, I know it. And while you fight here, I know what I must do. My legend begins!"

Without further ado, Vígríðr turned away and faced his first great trial as a scion of Jupiter: the console, as well as a throng of seemingly very powerful people, lay ahead. Greatness tarried not for the leisurely. Steeling himself against subsequent waves of Chaos, the man didn't hesitate to break into a brisk jog forward. After a few moments, he was at a sprint. While closing in he could make out more details about the group, most eye-catchingly one of the aliens attempting to move away while clutching a gleaming light close to his breast.

Details for later, first came the devil machine. With a booming, wordless battle cry Vígríðr leapt into the air to bring his fist down on the most vulnerable-looking part of the console he could reach. The contraption was more durable than he'd thought, his blow certainly wasn't mighty, but at least he felt he'd done a little bit of meaningful damage.

Keeping a wary eye to those around him who might take issue with his thrashing of the console, there was nothing yet to prevent the page from gathering himself for his next assault. Vígríðr cracked his knuckles.
