"I love you too... but that doesn't mean I'm going to take it easy on you," Harry answered with a grin, shooting off on his broom and racing Katherine with Hedwig by his side. It was at that point that a strange figure, akin to an anthropomorphic dragon but made purely of fire, joined the two in their little race, a strange song coming from it: wild but warm, ferocious but passionate, a primal song that lit a fire somewhere deep in the soul. "At the moment? The Outsider, H. P. Lovecraft," Phobius answered with a small smile to his fellow bookworm.

Hermione snuggled up to Phobius before pulling out a random book for her side bag. She had many books she was reading so she made should to have magical book marks in place for them. She looked at what she picked. "Looks like I am continuing on The Grimms Fairy tales." She said settling herself in. Katherine got a little ahead when she saw the fire figure. "Harry, not to alarm you but there is a fire person joining in our race. I think it could be Mitis but I'm not too sure. I think I should starting shooting water but only if you think I should." She said as she got out her wand and readied herself.

"Well, whatever it is doesn't seem to mean any harm," Harry pointed out reasonably. "If anything, it seems like it just wants to race us, so... see you!" With that, he flashed her a grin and shot off, the strange fiery being still singing that strange but beautiful song as the three of them raced. "Ah, yes. A fairly good book, though I'm really more into darker stories," Phobius noted calmly, smiling faintly to his girlfriend before starting to read silently alongside her.

"The Grimm stories are dark."Hermione pointed out as she read through Snow White's story. Katherine growled before her Cottonmouth blazed up next to Harry. Sorren hooted loudly as he caught up again with his mistress. "There's no way you'll lose me like that, Harry!" She shouted before boosting up a little more.

"True," Phobius allowed, "but the majority of them aren't quite to my taste; I prefer horror stories anyway, preferably with undead or dark beings of some sort in them." ...That was probably his Dark creature blood talking. Harry just laughed as they raced side by side, though the fiery draconic figure was somehow always just a little bit ahead of them, as if taunting them. Its song even took on a faint laughing tone to it, as if amused at something.

Katherine laughed along with Harry. The witch called out to the draconic figure, "We'll catch up with you, right Harry?!" She shouted smiling back over to Harry. Sorren hooted at Hedwig asking if she wanted to take a break with him. His wings were getting tired. Hermione knew his dark creature blood was talking. So she changed the subject to, "So I saw Katherine put her gifts under the tree. Um I have to say, yours is a really bright rainbow color. Like a Care Bear threw up on it" She said.

"Right!" Harry agreed with a grin, having the time of his life as he shot after the draconic figure. The fire-being's song took on a tinge of amusement before he shot off even faster than before. Hedwig hooted in agreement with Sorren, landing to take a break with her fellow owl. Phobius paused as he processed this... and then nodded to himself. "Ah. That explains my sudden urge to maim her earlier," he decided in that cold monotone he always slipped into when he was irritated to some degree. ...What? He positively despised anything rainbow-colored.

Hermione sweatdropped, "I'm sure whatever she got you will be something you will love." She said to reassure him. "She just wrapped it like that cause she knew it would bother you." Hermione said kissing his kiss. Sorren landed next to Hedwig and settled his racing heart. He started to preen his ruffed feathers. Katherine shivered suddenly. She wondered if she went too far with her gift to Phobius.

Fortunately, that seemed to calm Phobius down as he kissed her right back. Idly, he decided he'd let Katherine's choice of wrapping paper slide just this once. Hedwig similarly started preening, looking rather amused at the ruffled appearance of Sorren's feathers. Harry blinked, noting Katherine's shiver. "Kat? Are you all right?"

"Oh it's nothing. I just wrapped Phobius's gift in rainbow wrapping paper." She said to harry. Sorren looked at Hedwig suddenly conscious of what he was doing because of her watching him. He asked what she was thinking of. Hermione smiled before saying, "Now about your chocolate episodes, were all them Mitis's doing or were you eating the chocolate purposely?" She asked

Harry immediately turned to stare wide-eyed at Katherine; even the fire-being slowed slightly to gawk at her. "Kat, I love you and all... but are you off your rocker?!?"Hedwig just hooted back teasingly along the lines of 'wouldn't you like to know?'. Phobius paused, then held his book a little closer to his face to hide his faint blush. "...Mitis is responsible for several of them, but the majority of those incidents may or may not have been caused by me giving in to my sweet tooth..." he answered, his tone betraying nothing.

Hermione got up close to his face smiling. She enjoyed seeing his rare blushing face. "I think it's cute that you give into some things." She said giggling. "Did that happen a lot when you were young?" Hermione asked thinking about all the photo albums. Katherine smirked at Harry, "I might be off my rocker. I mean how else have I been able to change in to two animals?" She said relaxing her broom. She slowed down befoe saying, "And you won't believe what I got him."Sorren's feathers fluffed up again in an owl's way of blushing. He quickly fixed his feathers. The male owl hooted back at her saying 'Well aren't you being mysterious?'

Phobius turned a little redder, not meeting Hermione's eyes. "...Maybe..." was all he said... which was pretty much a 'yes'. "Please tell me it's not something that's going to make him kill you," Harry answered, obviously not sure whether he really wanted to hear this or not but listening nevertheless. Hedwig just gave the owl approximation of a flirtatious smirk, giving a hoot of amusement at Sorren's feathers fluffing up before casually resuming preening herself, though she did discreetly keep an eye on the owl crushing on her.

Hermione giggled before returning to her book. She was done making Phobius blush though it was fun. "Your mother must of had fun taking those pictures." She said. Sorren tried to not fluff up at how Hedwig preened herself. He just turned away to give her some privacy as he looked up to Katherine. He settled in more before noticing it was starting to snow. Katherine snorted, "He wouldn't kill me, Harry. But I got him two dolls. I enchanted both of them." She said. The witch just waited for Harry's reaction to that.

(YES! I AM FINALLY FREE OF THE HELL THAT IS HOMEWORK CRAMMING!!! crying ) "She did; one might even say she had too much fun," Phobius agreed. Harry just stared warily, oblivious to the fire-being vanishing into thin air. "Exactly... what spell did you enchant them with?" he asked hesitantly, obviously scared to even ask.
