Looking back at Reina, Vincent would smile and nod, "It's more than good." he joked before noticing Charl. It seems that the little doll wanted some snacks as well. Reaching over, Vincent took Charl into his hands and placed her gently next to him and Reina, "Feel free to help yourself, Charl." he stated. While taking another bite from the pocky, Vincent glanced away and stared out the open field. "So, what is it that my mother wanted you to say?" he asked, showing that he knew the reason why she came. "Is it to talk me out of fighting Mirai?"
"Yay!" Charl exclaimed, throwing her arms in the air before grabbing a job of poky, which was probably a little bit smaller than the doll's torso. She opened the box and ended up eating about four poky at once with a very happy expression.

Was any less expected? Reina smiled sadly as, to no surprise, Vincent revealed his knowledge of the situation. "To be honest, and I swear to kami which I don't usually do, she didn't really tell me to tell you anything. It was more of a 'please visit him and cheer him up.' But what fight?" It was the first she had heard any mention of a fight with Mirai. If there was a fight she was thinking about, it was a cold war. It wasn't going to be an actual physical fight, was it?

Hearing Reina, Vincent sighed, "I see, well then, I'm glad you came." he stated before glancing towards Charl, "I challenged my sister to a fight. We will have it in two days. I admit that at the time, I wasn't really thinking or acting myself. I was just so overcome with hate." Vincent the looked at Reina, "But now, I'm thinking that it was always going to end up this way. In order for me to prove to myself that I am not worthless, I need to face her, to beat her."

She had always known that he thought his sister and mother were better than him, but due to age she thought it made sense at the time. Reina wanted to tell him so much to stop, to not go through the fight, but she realized a weakness in herself: she wasn't brave enough. It seemed to outspoken and Vincent was only one of a few friends. If she could say anything to him though, she would let it be known now. "Y'know, Vinny. If it means anything, anything at all, you're not worthless to me. In fact, you're my most valuable friend."There, I said it. Kami...oh, kami. I hope my face isn't red. she thought.

Hearing Reina, Vincent stare into her eyes and smile, "Thank you. You are my most precious friend, as well." As he said this, Vincent found himself leaning in closer towards Reina. He didn't know why, but for some reason, in this moment, in this very instance, she was radiating such beauty. She made him feel like he was just like everyone else, she made him feel normal. In that brief moment, Vincent came to a sudden revelation, that he had," ...fallen for you." Vincent would blurt out, unknowingly. It took him a few seconds to fully understand what it is that he had just said. Afterwards, he would instantly pull back and look away, feeling embarrassed. "I..uh..well. I meant to say that I'm glad that you came here when you did. I was in a really dark place." he tried to change to subject rather quickly.

Even more, she thought she heard him say something. She must have imagined it as he pulled back and began speaking normally again. "No problem. I'm always here for you, okay? So, there is no need to resort to violence and if we must, then we shall take it out on, I don't know, dummies? Things that actually need to be targeted? Forgive me, I'm rambling again, but really, if you ever need to vent, I'm here for you." Reina assured patting him on the shoulder. She figured now was a good as time as any to tell him about her strange purchase. "And if I'm not here and you need someone to vent to, grumpy sheep is here for you." she said pulling the plush that she had kept in the bag since arriving.

As Reina put her hand on his shoulder, Vincent looked back at her, once again, their eyes would meet and the same strange feelings would overtake him. However, those feelings would soon be replaced with Vincent's laughter as he saw the small black sheep that Reina had pulled from the bag. Vincent, while letting out a small laugh, would take the sheep into his hands and stare at it, "I think this would be better suited for Charl." he teased, though in reality, Vincent truly liked the plush, well considering that it was Reina who gave it to him, he would like anything. Handing the plus back over to Reina, Vincent found himself smiling more than usual. It had been so long since he genuinely smiled like this. "Say, Reina, do you ever find yourself thinking about the future? You know, who you'd eventually end up marrying and stuff?" he asked randomly.
Charl continued to eat pocky while listening to the two converse. She chose not to say anything though especially since it looked like they were having a moment. She only smiled slightly as she watched both Reina and Vincent.

It was an impulse buy, really, but I just couldn't help myself. It was just too cute." she said, rather embarrassed by it all. Well, it was enough to just have a gut feeling that Vincent liked it enough. Taking it back from him, she hugged it tight against her. It's so fluffy. Reina was caught off guard by Vincent's random question. It was definitely a "Wait, what?" moment for her. "To be honest, not really. Has it crossed my mind? Definitely, but how could I think of marriage when I can't even find a weapon to be my partner? So, I'm just trying to take it one step at a time. What about you?"

"Me?" he asked. "Well, I will admit that i haven't thought of it until just recently. I, unlike you, am not a meister, so I don't have to think about having a partner. I guess, that I would want to marry someone someday, whether she be human or not." As he said this, Vincent stared off towards the distance, "Or if she is sitting right here with me." he muttered, this time he willingly said these words. the Vincent would look back at Reina. Vincent seemed to have been in deep thought about something. Suddenly, he would raise his hand up to Reina's face and place it gently against her cheek, "No matter what happens next, I want you to know that I truly care for you." Vincent appeared to be afraid of something.

Reina was brought back to her sense when he heard Vincent say something, or at least she swore that she did. "What was that?" He had muttered it really, so maybe it wasn't meant to be heard in the first place. Today was just full of surprises as Vincent put his hand to her cheek and said something rather unexpected. "V-Vincent...I do too but is everything alright? You seem worried."

With his hand still on her cheek, Vincent forced himself to smile. "I'm just worried about what I am slowly becoming." he admitted. "From the moment I returned from that place, I have been feeling this deep, dark presence swelling up in my soul. Whenever it takes over, I can't seem to control my actions or words." Removing his hand, Vincent turned away, "Before you came here. I was taken over by this presence and went off towards the Netherworld. When I arrived, I killed many innocent people, but I felt nothing. I did not regret it, instead I enjoyed it." Vincent was slowly being consumed by his own madness, but up until recently, it was not able to take over him, like before. "I fear that, when my sister arrives, I might become like that, again and I may put you in harm's way."

All that she could ever remember happening after it started was that it all went downhill until...Reina felt herself tearing up just thinking about it. Reina saw the blood and she saw his smile. She shook her head. "No, no. You- I don't want to lose you. I-I can't." Reina adamantly refused to even imagine in happening, but it was all in vain. The floodgates opened, and the tears came and wouldn't stop.

As Reina started to cry, Vincent would actually be shocked. He didn't expect her to cry for him, though he somehow felt happy that she cared this much about him. Hearing her speak, Vincent, instinctively reached over and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tight. This was the first time, Vincent had ever done such a thing, but it came so naturally for him. As he continued to embrace her, Vincent would speak, "You won't lose me. I-I don't want you to cry. I don't think I can handle seeing you cry." he told her before smiling, "If it will make you at ease, I will cal off the fight." Vincent stated. "Ever since you came, I regretted my decision and now that I know it will cause you so much pain, I cannot allow it. I will swallow this pride and tell my sister that the fight is off."
