Now his interest was piqued. A boy, much smaller than him no less, was asking such a thing? So he indeed had initial practice with his eyes, unlike Yuuto. He mulled over Izaya's question before giving a small smile. "Maybe, maybe not...Maybe you would like to be the test subject of my training?" Now he wanted to push his buttons, what it took to get him annoyed. 'But I'll leave the fun and games until after training.' He took out the genjutsu scroll and briefly browsed through it. "Yuuto Kurama Nakamura." He spoke, not once letting his eyes wander off of the scroll. After a short moment, his gaze landed upon Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu [ Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique ] and he smirked. 'Such low level techniques...Ah well.' He extended the scroll so Izaya could see which technique he was pointing to. "I need no assistance when it comes to such low ranking techniques. And as much as I would like to, I cannot test on you each and every illusion I learn. You'd lose your mind." Here his smirk widened before he turned back to the scroll and read over the technnique.
After doing the appropriate hand seals, Yuuto focused his chakra to specific points in his and Izaya's nervous system and mind before placing up the illusion. Although it was his first one now, had no difficulties in getting it right the first time. As expected, once it was placed up, it was as if something had been triggered. In his eyes, his surroundings were now covered entirely in blood. Corpses lay about, eyes wide with dead terror. The man narrowed his eyes and released the illusion, his hand slightly clenched into a fist. Instead of turning to Izaya, he looked at the scroll once more, searching for another genjutsu.

After he had done the genjutsu, Yuuto glanced at Izaya when he began to speak and grinned. This time it reached his eyes. "My, my. Fearless as well? That'll do you good in the future as a shinobi." Yuuto read over the details for the next techique and thought it ironic that the technique's name was so similar to his own. Why, it was almost the same. After performing the hand seals, Yuuto extended his arm and poked Izaya's shoulder. Since the technique required an item such as a kunai to make direct contact with him at Chanel the chakra to start the illusion, he would just use his hand to channel the chakra to Izaya's mind since he very well couldn't go and pierce him with a kunai. At the contact, Yuuto focused his chakra and chose to slightly dull Izaya's sense of sight. Although he would need to do this over and over on an enemy, for now he would settle for slight effects to see if he was on the right path in mastering the jutsu. Once he dropped his arm back to his side and released the illusion, he waited for Izaya to tell him if it was successful or not.

Yuuto coaxed one eyebrow upwards but nonetheless started on another, more basic yet useful technique. This one relied on hearing, and assisted in making Yuuto's voice sound as if it was coming from all directions of the academy. He flashed through the short series of hand signs before murmuring, "From everywhere." Just as he thought, his voice reverberated throughout the academy, as if he had spoken from multiple places at once. Fortunately, only he and Izaya would be able to hear it since he was the one who cast it. He dropped the technique before turning back to the white-haired boy. "You are not obligated to assist me in training, you know. I would advise you to complete missions while I finish training, and after that we can go to the Sakkakugan user the Yukikage mentioned was training you." He suggested while reading through the scroll for the next technique.

❝The boy was not startled in the least as he was sure most people would have been if they had heard the loud echoing voice all around them. This was a technique that he was quite familiar with since he had practiced with it himself. It was no real offensive technique, but only for the fact that he chose to become an ANBU in the later future did he think that it was important for him to learn. When Yuuto mentioned him completing missions, Izaya looked down at the camera he had around his neck. He had completely forgotten that he was in the middle of a mission before he came to the academy to meet Yuuto. Izaya was completely caught off guard however when Yuuto made mention of knowing that he was to be trained by someone else with the Sakkakugan. His eyes widened for a few short seconds before he grinned. It would be great if Yuuto came with him to meet Hitomi. He was sure that she would love to have yet another apprentice. Izaya wondered if she had finally gotten to become a Jounin as she had said she would before they had parted ways. That wasn't important at the moment however. Halfway through the academy doors, Izaya called over his shoulder to Yuuto. "Thanks for reminding me. We'll meet up later!" And without further delay he was through the door and it shut behind him without a sound. Now holding the camera in his hand, Izaya slowed to a walk and scanned the area for anything of interest that he could take a photo of. Conveniently, there was a group of academy students out in the field with their teacher at the head of the class, giving them lessons on the basics of chakra control. What really caught Izaya's attention was the provocative way the teacher dressed. She wore no more than a tight sleeveless blouse that might as well have been a bra, tight shorts that showed more than half of her thighs... He had no need to go any further, procuring the camera and taking a quick picture of the woman. She didn't seem to notice that she was caught on film, and before she could notice the camera he had, he walked away.

Yuuto nodded as Izaya thanked him and went away, before a small smirk made it's way to his face. Of course, how could he forget. Konoha, where that person was hiding. He narrowed his eyes before going back to his scroll and quickly deciding upon a technique that would be useful when against a direct enemy in battle. He read over the details before going to the next steps.[1/3] The man focused his chakra and channeled in through his hand seals and into his mind. Once he had done this, Yuuto sent the chakra to the amygdala, a portion of the brain that controls emotions. He was momentarily glad of his near perfect chakra control, because the technique called for chakra at a precise spot in the brain.[2/3] Finally, he manipulated the chakra in such a way where he was now able to change his emotions at will. From happy, to terrified, to elated, and depressed. It was all in his control. After some more practice with the technique, he dropped it and moved on to the next one.[3/3] Ataeru Kanjoo no Jutsu [ Inflict Emotion Technique ] Learned
After briefly looking over the description for the next technique, Yuuto thought that this one would be quite amusing to witness being placed on another person. He however made a Gensu Bunshin and cast it on it. The clone would then feel as if Yuuto was slowly taking over it's body until he could control it's actions. The man then dispelled both the clone and the technique before moving on to the next one.
Ayatsuri Karada [ Body Puppetry ] 1/1 Learned
The next one was also a simple one that allowed for him to overlay one illusion with another, thus making it more confusing for an opponent to notice or dispell. The man read the details over before going through the hand seals and casting the [ Inflict Emotion Technique ]. After that, he covered the illusion with another one, the [ Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique ]. Yuuto easily dispelled both, but knew that it would be more difficult for his victims.
Magen: Nijū Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu [ Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique ] 1/1 Rank C Learned
Yuuto briefly read over the description and important information for another illusion before getting to work on mastering it. This one involved a demon king, Enma. Interesting. The man smirked before putting up the illusion over himself and witnessing as fissures suddenly ripped into the ground. His surroundings darkened and the temperature dropped considerably before IT rose from the ground and towered over him, surely to bring imminent death. The Demon King. Yuuto's eyes widened and he immediately dispelled the illusion.
Enma no Zaii [ Enma's Reign ] 1/1 Rank C Learned
The man made a mental note to use that certain technique only when facing enemies, and not merely for training. Moving on to the next technique, he chose a rather simple, yet distracting one. He did the hand seals and watched as dozens of rats suddenly appeared and rushed towards him, wanting to bite and devour him alive. He released the technique and moved on to the final one.
Pesuto [ Plague of Rats ] 1/1 Rank D Learned
The next one was rather cruel, in his opinion. Which is why Yuuto picked it over the other ones. It had the potential to mentally shock and distract opponents long enough for him to deliver a blow. Yuuto read over the description before beginning to practice setting it up.[1/3] Once he activated the technique, he would appear as many people and once, each the enemy of his victim's past. He practiced speaking through them, and found that his voiced transformed depending on which image he was speaking through.[2/3] Yuuto continued to practice with the technique and planned on how to implement it into his other attacks. Once he was done with the technique, he released it and moved on to ninjutsu.[3/3]
Jibun Teki no Yuujin no Jutsu [ Friend of One's Enemy Technique ] 3/3 Rank B Learned
Since he needed to start out with the basic techniques, he made a mental list of what he wanted to get taken care of first. Kage Bunshin no Jutsu was a must, so he set out to complete that one first.[1/4] Yuuto focused on memorizing the hand signs before focusing his chakra as needed. He read on how the chakra was dispursed into each number of clones, depending on how many he made.[2/4] Yuuto then decided to perform the technique himself and went through the hand seals. Suddenly, smoke curled into the air in front of him, just as a solid copy of himself appeared.[3/4] Yuuto tentatively placed a hand on its shoulder to test its solidity. Having checked to see how much chakra the clone held and that it was indeed solid, Yuuto dispelled it and went to the next jutsu.[4/4]
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [ Shadow Clone Technique ] 4/4 Rank B Learned
Next one on the list was Shunshin, a very useful technique overall. Yuuto read over the details before going over the proper chakra channeling in order to successfully carry out the technique and aid him when it came to speed.[1/2] Since the jutsu required no hand seals, Yuuto merely focused his chakra and felt as he rapidly disappeared and reappeared a few feet in front of his original spot. He nodded to himself and kept on working.[2/2]
Shunshin no Jutsu [ Body Flicker Technique ] 2/2 Rank D Learned
The next technique he would attempt to master was a rather high-ranked katon jutsu, so he stepped outside into the outdoor portion of the academy and carefully read over the details.[1/4] According to the scroll, the jutsu would create a circular flame on the ground, raiding up bars of flames and covering over the top. Water can't be created in it, and it ultimately acts as a prison. Yuuto memorized these things before advancing.[2/4] He did the hand seals and activated his chakra, watching with wonder as he was surrounded with a beautiful ring of fire.[3/4] Flames extended from the ring and joined together above him, imprisoning him in flames. Yuuto grinned and relished the feeling of intense heat the flames gave off before releasing the technique.[4/4]
Horou no jutsu [ Fire Prison Technique ] 4/4 Rank B Learned
The next technique was, like the others, somewhat simple in form. Yuuto quickly went over the description and important details before trying to master the chakra control for the technique.[1/2] After concentrating chakra to his arms ia certain way, he extended his arms and watched as a snake from each sleeve shot out, ready to bite their target. The man released the technique before moving to the next.[2/2]
Senei Jashu [ Hidden Shadow Snake Hands ] 2/2 Rank C Learned
Fuuton, his second elemental affinity. Yuuto's gaze skimmed over the various wind techniques and settled upon one which he personally favored. He read over it and trained his chakra to be channeled properly in order for the jutsu to work.[1/2] After sending wind chakra to his hands, he flared it, producing intense gales of wind that propelled him in a desired direction. In this case, it was forward. With the aid of the wind, he shot forward many feet until he dropped the technique and the wind died down.[2/2]
Suiyaku Kaze [ Propelling Winds ] 2/2 Rank D Learned
For the final technique, Yuuto created a shadow clone. Since it was a chakra absorption technique, he would test it on the clone and see if it worked. After reading through the instructions, Yuuto went up to the clone and placed a hand on his shoulder.[1/2] As expected, his hand glowed a familiar indigo/purple, signifying that the chakra from the clone was being absorbed into him. Not long after, the clone dispelled itself because of the lack of chakra. Yuuto placed the scroll away and moved on the final stage of training: meditation.[2/2]
Chakra Kyuuin no Jutsu [ Chakra Absorption Technique ] 2/2 Rank D Learned
Yuuto then sat down on the ground cross-legged, with his hands resting on his knees. He closed his eyes and concentrated solely on his chakra before trying to go to the next stages of meditation.
Basic Chakra Training: Meditate x 2 1/10
Yuuto attempted to delve within himself and search for the thing that made every ninja a ninja, his chakra pool. At first it was faint, but he hung on to that feeling and mentally grasped it and tried to flare it somehow. At first it was very faint, but each time he tried, it felt as if the chakra itself was growing more and more. He focused all his concentration on the chakra and continued to try and properly focus on his chakra pool.
Basic Chakra Training: Meditate x 2 2/10
Not too long after he initially began the meditation, Yuuto had at last located his chakra pool centered in his abdomen and focused on that. He formed the tiger hand sign for enhanced chakra movement in his tenketsu and concentrated on the movement of the chakra. At the moment, it was smooth and moved throughout his body as fluidly as water would. He took note of that and tried to quicken the rate of speed of it travel.
Basic Chakra Training: Meditate x 2 3/10
Yuuto creased his eyebrows in concentration and mild frustration. The chakra was indeed responding, but the rate of response was a bit delayed, as if he had not yet completely mastered it. He didn't expect to master it completely yet, not how he was now, but he at least had to try gaining some semblance of control. The man continued to focus on his chakra.
Basic Chakra Training: Meditate x 2 4/10
Bit by bit, he felt his chakra gradually begin to respond to his commands, however delayed the responses might be. Once he set his complete focus on it, the delays seemed to lessen until they were minuscule. He hadn't expected any different since he was still just a genin, and this improvement was not unexpected. He switched his focus on flaring his chakra, and found that it worked the same as trying to quicken its speed.
Basic Chakra Training: Meditate x 2 5/10
The Kurama clansman opened his eyes and stood up, finding that it was now the proper time to study how the creation of jutsu would effect the chakra and what he could do to improve it. He quickly went through three simple hand seals of the Clone Jutsu and noticed that the chakra was not properly channeling through the hand seals, at it should have been. He tried again and again, still with the same results. He stood confused for a moment, but then his eyes widened in realization and he quickly did the three hand seals again, this time with a single hand.
Basic Chakra Training: Meditate x 2 6/10
In a small plume of smoke that he noted to work on later until it disappeared, an illusional clone of himself had appeared in front of him, entirely identical to himself in appearance. Yuuto swept a hand in front of him to check its solidity, and was satisfied when his hand passed right through its neck without it dissolving away or disappearing. He also took note that his chakra pool was slightly, almost not noticeably, drained. This also was not a surprise, since it required chakra to properly carry out a bunshin.
Basic Chakra Training: Meditate x 2 7/10
Having then dispelled the clone, Yuuto tried to see if it wasn't just a fluke or something wrong with the way he did the jutsu. He did hand seals for the Substitution Technique with anticipation and set his sights on a kunai near him. He focused on substituting with it. Once the jutsu was canceled, he tried once more. This time, he immediately had substituted with the boulder and also learned more about chakra along the way.
Basic Chakra Training: Meditate x 2 8/10
The man sat down again in his original spot and focused on his chakra, which was now moving faster because of the jutsu that had been done. He breathed in deeply and let his breath out slowly, calming himself and slowing down the chakra. At first it wouldn't comply, but with more coaxing and calming breathes, it slowed down to its original speed. He then focused on expanding it from its pool and bringing it back. He slowly drew out flickers of it and channeled it to his tenketsu before slowing it down and bringing it back.
Basic Chakra Training: Meditate x 2 9/10
Yuuto sighed and once again repeated his actions from before to make sure that he had gotten down the correct way of handling the chakra, before he let out a deep breath and took off his jacket. With his breathes coming out as visible vapor because of the cold air, he settled down his chakra and brought it back to its original source before going on to the next step of training.
Basic Chakra Training: Meditate x 2 10/10
With his new knowledge of chakra control, Yuuto now wanted to apply it to his jutsu. After all, what was a shinobi without their techniques? He performed a series of hand seals with one hand and focused on bringing his chakra out again and channeling it through the hand seals. Not a moment later, the Henge Technique had turned him into what he had pictured in his mind, a random citizen he saw in on the street on his way to the Academy.
Basic Chakra Training: Performance x 2 1/6
Yuuto then examined the way his chakra worked in changing his appearance so completely, it was indeed interesting. Although it needed some improvements in various aspects, he took note of the way it was channeled and much was taken from his chakra pool. It was difficult at first to pinpoint the exact amount, but he tried nonetheless. Yuuto canceled the Henge when he was done.
Basic Chakra Training: Performance x 2 2/6
Next up after he did a different set of hand seals, he once again focused on his chakra before releasing it, resulting in a clone of himself standing in front of him. This time the chakra was different than it was with the Henge. Some of his chakra was transferred to the clone, strangely enough. However, he knew that it was useless unless the clone could dodge hits and not be dispelled. He mentally made a note to work on speed later on.
Basic Chakra Training: Performance x 2 3/6
After he had finished analyzing the chakra, Yuuto cancelled the technique and dispelled the clone. This time, the smoke that came with the cancelation was smaller, something of which he was glad to notice. The man took note of how his chakra reacted when a jutsu was cancelled and worked on making the flares of chakra much more subtle, as subtle as they could possibly be. It wouldn't be ideal to go around with your chakra flaring in case there was an enemy sensor, after all.
Basic Chakra Training: Performance x 2 4/6
Now he started to notice that his control was gradually getting better. The improvement spurred him on to continue with the training, despite mental complaints. He performed the last of useful jutsu he knew, the Substitution Technique. Yuuto quickly shot through the hand seals and this time focused once more on the kunai. He sensed the shift in air and was satisfied to find himself in the spot where the kunai had been. His chakra was now rushing rapidly through him because of having constantly drawn on it.
Basic Chakra Training: Performance x 2 5/6
Yuuto cancelled the jutsu, stretched, and yawned. He had stood still for quite some time, unfortunately. He closed his eyes and focused on his rushing chakra and took deep breathes to calm it down and slow it until it went at its regular speed. He picked up his jacket and put it on, all the while planning what to do next.

Yuuto sat down on the floor once more after going through a few kata. He submersed himself in his thoughts for a moment before activating his kekkei genkai and getting work. He put up the All Directions genjutsu and began speaking, his voice reverberating throughout the room.
Genni Genjutsu 1/12
Once the genjutsu was up and secure, he used kai. To his disapproval, the genjutsu was immediately dispelled. He was confused at first so he tried again. This time, he covered the first genjutsu with Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique.
Genni Genjutsu 2/12
He made sure his sakkakugan was activated before he kai'd it again. The first one dispelled while the second one was automatically activated. He performed kai again. The genjutsu dispelled. This made him even more frustrated and he fiercely put up the same genjutsu again.
Genni Genjutsu 3/12
Once the genjutsu was up, he pumped chakra through his eyes and felt the genjutsu being strengthen. He did kai, but it held up. He did it once more for good measure, but it was dispelled the second time. Yuuto did not allow himself to become angry or annoyed. He simply put up the genjutsu and tried again.
Genni Genjutsu 4/12
This time, he focused a precise, thin, and continuous line of chakra to his eyes and through them, connecting to the genjutsu. As soon as his eyes connected with the illusion, he immediately sensed and felt the difference. It was like being trapped in a room with no doors, windows, or any means of escape. Suffocating.
Genni Genjutsu 5/12
He attempted to dispel the genjutsu many times, but it was useless. A weak genjutsu that would be easily shrugged off was now rendered unbreakable. At this realization, Yuuto grinned. It wasn't a happy or proud grin though, it was just empty. He tried to perform kai and noticed that it took a greater amount of chakra than normal to dispel it.
Genni Genjutsu 6/12
She then decided to test the technique in case that had been just a fluke. "Plague of Rats," he whispered before one-by-one, rats began to appear all around him with beady red eyes. He immediately activated his eyes and witnessed as the almost-transparent forms hardened until they seemed to be as real as they could get.
Genni Genjutsu 7/12
Before he attempted to dispel it however, the strangest thing happened. Amongst the throng of the illusions, he saw himself in the middle of the rats, as if they were making way for his image. The only difference was that the illusion of him wore a pair of horns on his head and the atmosphere around him seemed to scream of great power. His eyes also seemed to be more bloodthirsty than his. Yuuto stared at this foreign illusion until he was snapped to attention by the illusion's action. The illusionary man cracked an insane, crooked grin that showed his razor-sharp teeth. The grin seemed to be impossibly long and set a strange emotion into Yuuto's entire body.
Genni Genjutsu 8/12
He deactivated his eyes but the genjutsu still held up. He subconsciously took note of this before pumping chakra to his mind and dispelling the genjutsu as quickly as he could and watched as the illusion faded into nothing. Should be be relieved that it was gone? From then on, he vowed to use that genjutsu only on enemies, whatever that was.
Genni Genjutsu 9/12
He set up the Plqgue of Rats genjutsu again and activated his eyes. Almost instantly, the genjutsu was strengthened. He activated then deactivated them. As he had expected, the genjutsu still held up since his mind was being effected. He released it and felt the drain of chakra.
Genni Genjutsu 10/12
Once he was done with his training, he headed straight for the restrooms and entered the boy's restroom. He went to the sink and splashed cold water on his face. When he checked the mirror, he gasped and stepped backwards when the memory of the strange illusion popped into back into his mind, as vivid as if he was actually seeing him in person. Yuuto shook his head and headed back to the training room.
Genni Genjutsu 11/12
He tried it once more to check that everything was in order before releasing the illusion and watching as all the rats disappeared. Of course, he knew full well what that image had been, and he wasn't afraid. Quite the contrary, he wished Ghost didn't need to only reside in his subconsciousness.
Genni Genjutsu 12/12 Learned
'Alright, here goes nothing...,' For a moment, Yuuto lay absolutely still. Then, with his eyes still closed, he performed hand seals and whispered 'Plague of Rats'. He suddenly felt the familiar feel of many small bodies surrounding him that only he could see and feel, but this time it was much more controlled. Instead of barreling towards her, the rats surrounded her, forming a circle. Yuuto then opened his eyes. His usual indigo, deep purple irises were now blood red.

He then focused on his chakra and enlaced it with the genjutsu, in this case being the rats. He gave out a bit of his chakra and literally watched as the rats ran in a flurry around him, going which ever direction he willed them to go.

The number of rats grew, shrank, gathered into one condensed area which reminded Yuuto of the prey and exactly what he was, a nezumi. And with a little extra chakra boost, even grew more in number. Yuuto smiled and relished in the feeling that he was in control. In this world of his genjutsu, he was in control. He was the master.

When he was sure that he had control over the genjutsu, Yuuto yelled out 'Kai!' and attempted to disrupt his chakra. As a result, well, there was no result. He allowed himself to grin widely when he realized that the genjutsu couldn't be broken by such means. But then he frowned. Deeply. And then sighed. 'The only way to get out of it is through intense pain...oh well. What doesn't kill me makes me stronger,' he thought as he already started feeling the strain the Sakkakugan was producing.

Yuuto focused more of his chakra to see how unbreakable he could make the genjutsu. He allowed the rats to start 'eating' at his flesh. Of course, he was careful that they wouldn't get close enough to bone. Luckily he was the only one who could see and feel them, even though the pain was almost unbearable.

'Kai, kai, kai, KAI!' he mentally shouted, attempting to disrupt his chakra as much as he could. To his relief, the genjutsu held up. So it's all in the eyes...he realized but then felt himself drastically switch from happy to unreasonably angry. 'No no no, not now!' he shook his head and cursed under his breathe. He must have seemed weird to those others in the academy that weren't under the genjutsu.

He then curiously decided to see if he could change his surroundings and even the rate. Putting in a bit more chakra and adjusting the concentration of it in certain parts of the genjutsu, he watched as the rats became black instead of gray in fur. Instead of the academy, he saw a dry, flat field of cracked earth. 'Exactly what I had in mind,' he smirked.

Yuuto then tentatively let a small wave of black rats creep up towards him close enough to be able to bite his ankle. Before they could reach his skin though, he drew it away with chakra through his eyes.

'Ok, now for the not-so-lovely part,' he sighed and prepared himself for the inevitable pain that was needed in order to break the genjutsu. For a moment, he didn't like the fact that his genjuts could be this powerful, but immediately discarded the thought. At least it was a strong way of attack without actually physically getting his hands dirty. Not to mention he was horrible at Taijutsu.

Yuuto squeezed his eyes shut and reluctantly willed the rats to devour him. A second before they reached him though, they stopped. 'Damn it Yuuto. You're getting rusty.' He scolded himself and felt the anger from his other personality seep into him. Sometimes in times like these, he was thankful for his split personality.

Taking advantage of the sudden burst of anger, Yuuto hurled the rats upon himself and bit his lip until he drew blood to keep from screaming out in pain. He felt himself being bitten and torn for a moment before all the pain was gone. He opened his eyes and was met with the familiar surroundings of the academy.

Yuuto deactivated his Sakkakugan and wiped the sweat from his brow. He still sensed his chakra lingering so he focused and drew it back, trying to calm the fast flow of rushing chakra in his coils. He then got up and dusted himself off for the sake of getting his mind off of what had happened.

After reading and trying to understand the details on his next technique, he layed the scroll down and formed a hand seal to better channel his chakra throughout his body, closing his eyes in concentration.

He started by releasing a steady stream of compressed chakra into his eyes and allowed the biological makeup of them to filter the chakra and convert it into the technique. Once he got this simple step down, Yuuto worked on the speed at which the chakra was channeled and the way his eyes filtered it and used it. Since it was a C ranked technique, Yuuto was careful not to put too much chakra into it.

Next, while maintaining the chakra in his eyes, he flared the chakra slightly to activate the Sakkakugan. He withdrew his chakra a bit and opened his eyes. Seeing no difference in his vision except that things seemed to be in sharper focus, he closed his eyes again and sent the appropriate amount of chakra to them again.

After a few minutes of practicing with his chakra, Yuuto released his hand seal and placed his hands on his lap. 'In the midst of battle, I might not have the time for a hand seal.' Instead, he now channeled the chakra but instead did it directly to his eyes instead of going through the hand seal. With some effort, he shaped and thinned out the chakra in his eyes just as it would have done with a hand seal.

When he finally got down the chakra portion of the technique, he integrated it into the chakra in his eyes that was specific to his bloodline and combined a portion of them together. Once they were combined, he released it back and did this for several more times until he familiarized himself with it and could do it in the blink of an eye. It took around half an hour, but it was worth it. With his eyes open, Yuuto combined his chakra again and flared it, releasing a flash of a blaring, dark green light from his eyes. At first, he wasn't sure if it had happened properly so he tried again. This time, he noticed that a dull green light momentarily reflected on the walls around him. Yuuto smirked to himself and checked his scroll for the next technique on the list.

After taking a short break, Yuuto stretched a bit, being sore from sitting in the same position for so long. With a sigh, he got back to reading his scroll and annotating parts of it in order to make it easier for him to understand. He read over the details of the next technique he wanted to master and memorized the description and steps needed. 'Its almost just like the other one. Seems simple enough, now that I know the basics.' He mulled over his thoughts on how to learn these techniques in the least amount possible before giving up and sighing. 'I guess there are no shortcuts to this, ugh. Oh well.'
Di no Jaku [ Day of Weakness ] 1/7
Since he was already used to focusing chakra to his eyes and performing Senkou no Jaku, mastering Di no Jaku seemed to be simple since all he needed to do was slightly tweak and increase the chakra amount. So, he tried to do this. At first, he was happy that it seemed to be so easy, but ended up performing Senkou no Jaku instead when he was sure he had Di no Jaku mastered. 'Ok, I guess it isn't that easy...'

Instead of simply adding more chakra, this time he changed the way the chakra was channeled to his eyes. Instead of it being in a continuous stream, he made it slightly more concentrated and faster. In order to make the process more challenging, Yuuto made four clones and had them throw kunai at him from random directions. So now, not only did he have to dodge, but he also had to completely focus on his chakra.

After half an hour and a few kunai cuts later, he felt that his ability to focus on several things at once increased so he upped the challenged by creating two more clones and allowed them to also throw shuriken. As he practiced quickly activating his eyes and performing Di no Jaku half way, his eyes darted around the room, assessing from which direction incoming projectiles were coming. In this way, he practiced with letting his reflexes completely take over and aid him.

About an hour later when he finally got a hang of it, Yuuto released the clones and sat down. He was tempted to take a moment to catch his breath, but decided against it since he wanted to make it seem as if he was in a real fight. He knew that in real fights, the opponent wouldn't give you a chance to catch your breath. So without hesitating, he activated her eyes once more, focused a specific amount of chakra to them, merged it with the chakra of his eyes, and flared it.

As he expected, the chakra flared from his eyes transformed into a blaring red light. He analyzed this light and couldn't help but marvel at the power of his eyes. It was amazing really, with further examination, he learned that the light tranformed from the chakra held properties of cancelation. 'So this is why doujutsu are cancelled because of the light. And here I thought that whoever wrote the scroll was being absurd. Amazing, but not enough.'

Yuuto practiced the process of the technique many more times until it came as natural. This took another hour, but he didn't mind. When he was sure he had it down, he created ten clones and had all ten throw projectiles from all around him. He practiced multi-tasking this way and noticed that after a while of doing this, not only did his speed increase, but his concentration and focus level did to. After a while, he released the clones and plopped down on the floor, trying to regain his breath.
Di no Jaku [ Day of Weakness ] 7/7 Learned
After regaining his breath and resting for a bit, Yuuto plunged right back in to his training. He read over his scroll yet again until his gaze paused at a rather useful technique. He read over it, memorized the description, and began to try to understand how to shape and use his chakra for this particular technique. 'This is exactly what I needed! Now, if I go against someone of my own bloodline, this technique will allow me to easily break out of any genjutsu. I think I just one step closer to genjutsu mastery...' He read over the technique's information once more before placing the scroll down and getting to work.

Before doing anything, Yuuto first placed a simple genjutsu over himself, since this was an anti-genjutsu technique. In order for him to more easily distinguish the genjutsu, he made it seem as if the walls of the training room were somewhat covered in cracks and holes. Then with a blink of his eyes, he activated the Sakkakugan and immediately noticed how it suddenly became so painfully apparent that he was under a genjutsu. The young man then examined the way his chakra irregularly moved in his mind because of the illusion.

"Kugai." With a simple murmur and a chakra output adjustment, he modified the genjutsu he was under so it could be unbreakable. For effect, he made the cracks grow and thicken across the walls until only the room's windows were visible enough to allow light to illuminate the room. Focusing on the genjutsu's effect on his mind and nervous system, he pushed his chakra slightly in an attempt to disrupt it. Sure enough, nothing happened. He flared the chakra violently and performed Kai [ Release ], but the genjutsu didn't waver.

After glancing at the scroll again to make sure he didn't miss any important details, Yuuto changed a portion of chakra in the channels connecting his eyes to his brain and briefly flared it. If the technique was done correctly, the genjutsu would have dissipated. But alas, it still wasn't completely mastered. He curiously checked the scroll. 'I don't get what's wrong. I did everything it say— ooohh, I missed a part of it! I'll try again.' Yuuto played the technique over in his mind until he caught what was wrong. 'Instead of thickening the chakra, I need to thin it...okay, I think understand now.'

He made sure the genjutsu was still going strong before repeating the process of Henjou, except that this time he tweaked the chakra output slightly before thinning it out and flaring it. For the first few times he did this, the genjutsu only wavered, but didn't break. For every time he would attempt to perform Henjou, he adjusted her chakra and its flow. It was like trying to get a combination lock to open. He tried to get it just right and when it only caused the genjutsu to waver, he adjusted what was wrong.

Finally after many failed attempts, Yuuto got it right when, after flaring his chakra, his surrounding returned to normal and the cracks disappeared. He immediately memorized what he had done to successfully carry out the technique and practiced doing that for another half-hour, until he was sure he got it down. After that, he worked on the speed at which the technique was carried out for a while until he could carry it out as rapidly as he could, and even faster than that after a bit more training.

There, his training was now complete. Yuuto got up and exited the academy. He would now head to the Yukikage's office for more missions.

❅ As Hitomi gazed upwards at the sky, lost in thought, she used her peripheral vision to make sure she woudn't bump into anyone as she walked to the academy. So, she was finally chuunin. But that didn't matter at all when compared to others. She needed to be stronger, better than she was now! A small frown fell upon her lips. Strength, power...did that really define a person? Everyone certainly seems to think so. Her jaw clenched. 'Well, who cares anyways. I'll train, and they'll see. He'll see.' She resisted the urge to clench her hands into fists and instead picked out several scrolls from which she would learn techniques. She caught sight of another man in the room, a dark haired boy who, in her opinion, gave her the creeps by just being around him. Shimiru shook her head and entered an empty training room.
It took her but a few moments to decide on which portion of techniques to work on. Taijutsu. She had yet to start on a style, so she chose this and began reading from the scroll on her chosen style. The first technique was rather simple, so she ran towards the training dummy and performed a flying jump kick. Nothing too complicated.
Dainamikku-Entori [Dynamic Entry] Simple E 1/1 Complete
Sadly, the next one was also very simple. But a great stress-reliever. She began to deliver relentless punches and kicks to the dummy, hitting hard enough to badly injure a live enemy. She put force behind the blows, causing the durable dummy to tear slightly.
Dainamikku-Akushon [Dynamic Action] Simple E 1/1 Complete
It was to be expected by now. The final technique in the first stage also was simple, but it required a toothpick. Shimiru took out a senbon and used it as a makeshift toothpick for the technique. She kicked and punched the dummy again, but then spit the senbon, making it embed itself directly in the center of the dummy's forehead.

For the next technique, Shimiru first formed a clone to train on. At her signal, the two began to trade furious blows. She continuously dodged and attacked before catching the clone on the floor and bringing her arm up for the [ Pressure Palm ].
Asshou [Pressure Palm] Simple D 1/2
Unfortunately, the clone rolled out of the way just in time. Shimiru's punched hit the ground, causing a small crater from the impact. She gazed at it in shock for a moment. 'Err, am I supposed to be that strong? Or is it the technique?' Nonetheless, she continued to practice the punch.

❅ Shimiru stopped in mid punch and turned to Genesis, with an involuntarily coldness to her eyes. "Oh, that's great! Congratulations." A tight smile made its way into her expression, and her happy tone held an edge of exaggeration. 'Of course you did, of course you did.' She mentally rolled her eyes. "Um, I'm a bit busy training, we can talk when I'm done." At this point, it was difficult to not test her new techniques on him. But he was now Jounin, so of course she wouldn't stand a chance. Now he would really see the need to protect her. This time she really did clench her hands into fists, hoping that he would get the message.
