Nodding in agreement, I said, "Icestorm's ri-" but just then, Moonkit collapsed.
"Moonkit!" I cried, rushing to he side.
"Moonki! What's wrong?"
[But she didn't answer me. She was lying down, eyes closed, on the soft earth beneath her.]
"I didn't hurt her, did I?" I asked frantically, looking up at Icestorm, my eyes wide with fear and worry.

IceStorm shook her head. "No you did not harm her." She said as she padded up to Moonkit. "She has gone to the land of memories. she will wake up in a while." IceStorm licked Moonkit's ears, gently and soothingly.

"Thank StarClan," I murmured, sighing in relief.
"As long as she's alright."
[I sighed and sat up. Feeling embarassed, I looked over at Hawkkit, who had been watching the entire time.]
"I suppose we'll have to give it a rest for now," I murmured.

Moonkit It felt good to go where many others had never tread before. But what memory was she in? she thought curiously. [She looked down upon a newborn kit, blazing in her own white fire.] "M-me?" she choked out. [Her mother was bent over doubled in pain. Moonkit's eyes went blurry with pain as well. She couldn't see her mother!] Please! Please show me who you are! she thought desperately. [Her memories of her mother had always been foggy. She felt her strength draining away as blood gushed through those wounds..] "I can help you!" Moonkit cried out. "Who did this too you?" she yelled. [But she realized that she was dead. And with a jolt she woke up, it was like she really had died.] "Icestorm!" she gasped out, aware of tears streaming down her cheeks. "Please.. you knew my mother. Did anyone tell you how she died?" she asked through gritted teeth, trying to stop the tears.

H a w k k i t“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________Hawkkit watched the little practice fight unfold before him with mild interest. If he's jumped in, it would only confuse them. Although, it wasn't like he wasn't tempted. Moonkit had once again succeeded in rudely silencing him, and Thunderpaw had batted one of his large, fluffy ears. His whiskers twitched with amusement and irritation as the she-cats tussled. Before he knew it, Moonkit collapsed! Feeling his pelt bristle, he was about to lunge for Thunderpaw, but he quickly realized that her condition was caused by something beyond physical. Hawkkit jumped up, ready to bound for the medicine cat's den, but he heard Icestorm's soothing mew explain the little she-cat's dilemma. Taking a sharp breath, Hawkkit padded softly up to Moonkit's limp body and crounched beside her. Her flank was rising and falling in normal breaths, to his relief. Glancing at Icestorm and Thunderpaw, he licked Moonkit's scruff and ears in an attempt to wake her. “Moonkit?” He got no response. Hawkkit sighed softly, knowing that this was somehow connected to her abilities as a future medicine cat. It was with a yowl that Hawkkit wheeled back as Moonkit awoke. She was in obvious emotional distress, and Hawkkit felt the blood roaring in his ears as he watched the kit question Icestorm about her mother. Hawkkit padded up to her and sympathetically touched her flank with his tail. “Calm down, Moonkit. It'll be okay…”
[[Oh, okay. (At the part with Moonkit/paw. I gots it now. ^ ^ Love interest you say?! o . O That should be fun. xD]]

Moonkit [Moonkit gazed at Hawkkit an unreadable emotion in her eyes.] "Yes.. I know it'll be." she whispered back to him. [She licked his ear as she mewed her goodbye to the others. And she padded into the nursery, sleep rapidly gaining on her. She focused her thoughts on her mother.] "I hope you shall walk in my dreams Mother.." she mewed.

H a w k k i t“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________All Hawkkit could do now was watch Moonkit pad back to the nursery. Tilting his head, he grasped that she didn't even wait for a reply from Icestorm. He wondered if she even realized that herself. Letting out a long sigh, Hawkkit looked around. The clan was relaxing in the warm sun of newleaf, with cats spralled out here in there in the patches of sunlight. Warriors and their apprentices seized the increased chances of easy hunting, returning to camp every now and then with several pieces of prey in their jaws. Hawkkit felt the familiar pang of envy well up into of him. He could be with those apprentices! Hunting, training, patrolling…But no. He still had to wait for his leader to assign him a mentor. Which reminded Hawkkit—wasn't Moonkit supposed to get a mentor by now as well? Sure, he was an acception. He'd understand if the clan didn't trust him enough yet, but what about Moonkit? She wanted to be a medicine cat! Hawkkit felt his skin burn with anger as questions whirled in his mind. Why hadn't Moonkit been apprenticized yet? Hawkkit flexed his claws, tearing up the earth beneath his paws. Grunting, padded to the farthest corner of the camp, beside the exit, and flopped onto the ground in an attempt to calm down.
[[I dunno what to do now, so I guess he'll just lay there for the rest of the day. xD]]

[I watched Moonkit pad off. Letting out a frustrated sigh, I stood up. But then I realized that I had nowhere to go, nothing to do. Silverstar was out somewhere, being the leader, and I was stuck in camp. It was almost as bad as not having a mentor...I loved Silverstar like a mother, but I never saw her, and never had the opportunity to be trained as an apprentice should. I may as well switch back to Thunderkit, at this rate...
My heart was beating fast, and I was panting. I realized then just how out of shape I was. I hadn't done much other than lounge around camp like a lazy elder!
Frustrated, I turned, and saw Hawkkit lying in a patch of grass beside the camp exit. His tail twitched irritably, and I realized he was attempting to calm down.
Sighing, I padded up to him.]
"The kittypets have a saying," I said as I approached him, "that every time you sigh, you shrink a little. That would probably explain my size..."
[I laughed sheepishly, but also with a hint of bitterness. My dainty size was useful for squeezing past warrior legs, but I couldn't fight very well being as small as I was.]
"I'm getting fat, too," I snorted.
Flicking my ears, I mewed, "Would you like to go hunting or something with me, Hawkkit? Usually you'd need a warrior escort, being a kit, but I think they'll let you out."
[I knew his status was a testy subject, but I didn't like dancing around certain facts.]
"Anyway, we might bump into some trouble that could help prove you worthy of apprenticeship," I added, my light blue eyes glinting mischeviously.

"Moonkit I..." IceStorm didnt finish. Moonkit had already padded away. IceStorm sighed. She turned and sat back down near the tree stump. Waiting... for something... or someone.

H a w k k i t“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________Hawkkit's eyes flickered onto Thunderpaw as she approached. He had calmed himself, yet his tail-tip still betrayed his true feelings. As she commented on her own appearance, Hawkkit chuckled softly. “I think you look fine. You're only trying to convince yourself that there's something wrong with you.” He smiled, listening to her request. Hawkkit was about to snap back as she mentioned that he still needed an escort, but as she added her last sentence, he stood up and shook his pelt. “Let's go then! I'll kill a fox if I have to! Just get me out of this camp!” Hawkkit joked, yet the words had a bit of truth behind them.

IceStorm watched Thunderpaw and Hawkkit with her blue eyes. In the sun, they looked like they were ice. She turned her gaze to Hawkkit. *He will be a strong warrior one day. I hope i am able to mentor him.* She thought to herself. She looked around the camp for anyone else she could talk to. IceStorm sighed.

"Thanks, I suppose," I said bashfully to his comment on my appearance, "I guess I just need an excuse to get out of here!"
Jumping up excitedly, I asked him, "Which part of the forest should we travel along?"
(( Pick a border, I don't care which. : D )).

H a w k k i t“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________Hawkkit thought briefly. He really wanted to hunt something, and his mind rested on one animal in particular. “The Breezeclan border!” He smirked, licking his jaws as if he'd just eaten the most delicious piece of fresh-kill in all the lands. “I'm dying to try and take down a rabbit.” Hawkkit began padding towards the camp exit, casting an occasional nervous glance over his shoulder as he watched for warriors. He didn't think that they'd approve of this, but Hawkkit thought that he'd go mad if he spent another second in this camp!

[Silverstar padded into the clearing, and upon spotting Thunderpaw, padded over.] "Thunderpaw, you need training. Come now, we will work on fighting techniques and go for a hunt."

[I followed him, prancing happily.]
"Oooh, rabbits are fun to chase!" I cried, my mood suddenly lifted, "but let's hope it doesn't run across the border during the chase!"
Pausing, I added, "We'll have to bring some prey back to camp, though...and you'll have to wait to eat that rabbit until we return."
[We still had to be cautious. There still may be some trouble for us since Hawkkit was a kit, but I certainly didn't want to break an even bigger rule.
We padded off together. It felt good to go out hunting after a long, agonizingly boring period of time.
And then Silverstar padded up.]
I glanced back at Hawkkit in dismay, but murmured, "Yes, Silverstar..."
[I followed her, my tail drooping. I was looking forward to the cool BreezeClan wind, and an exotic rabbit or two.
I looked back at Hawkkit once more, sorrow shining in my eyes. I hoped he understood I was unhappy about this, and that we would surely go hunting together one day.]
(( Aw shoot! Sorry. :c We'll have to hunt some other time. ))
