"I can help," she said, holding a hand out. "What kind of programming do you need?"

"Just a simple function for this one," Paradox said, handing one of the chips over. "That's the transmitter chip. This is the overdrive chip, it works as is," he muttered, putting another chip at his side. "But this one," he muttered, gesturing at a third chip. "That's the OP chip, and it needs to be completely re-done," he said.

"Go any tweezers?" she asked, turning the chips over in her hand.

"Only these, and I'm not even really supposed to have these," Paradox said, handing the one pair of tweezers to her.

She raised an eyebrow, taking the tweezers and prying a few parts of the chips apart, peering in. "This shouldn't take incredibly long."

Paradox shrugged. "I'm terrible at writing programs," he muttered. "I'm an engineer, not a programmer."

"Well, I know people who can't even operate a computer," she joked, using the tweezers to disconnect a wire in the tiny chip, biting her lip as she looked carefully for where to reconnect it.

"Huh," Paradox said. "Most of the people I knew couldn't operate computers... Of course, most of the people I knew were experiments, and poor farmers," he said. Shrugging, he finished, "Doctor K was the one who forced me to learn all this stuff," he said.

"It's admittedly pretty handy," she responded, connecting two wires in the chip and closing it again, opening the next.

Paradox took the chip she had finished, and plugged it back in. "Yeah, and depending on what you have to work with, it can be kind of fun... Just to see what you can come up with," he said, chuckling.

She smirked. "Believe me, crazy things happen when you have too much sugar and try that," she said, finishing the chip and handing it back, starting on the OP chip.

Paradox smiled. "Please, I don't even need too much sugar," he said, laughing, as he pulled a small trinket out of his pocket. It was a small metallic smiley face keychain ball, with a red button on the back that clearly stated 'DO NOT PUSH'. He chuckled, and tossed it to her.

She caught it and looked over it. "I'm so tempted to push the button," she joked, holding it up and turning it. "But just to be safe... there's no pie involved, correct?"
