Celeron stood there. The sword went to his hand but he found himself unable to attack Ruby. When he fought Kokoro he went right for the jugular but this time when she was captured Celeron felt a scary fear that his actions would harm Shera. Now Veral acted and she was hurt in the process. Celeron was unable to do anything because fear took him over.
He didn't say anything as the whole scene seemed to be going by in slow motion as Shera was harmed and Ruby got away.
Celeron turned to move toward the den.

Mazzia finished channeling and sighed. "That is all I can do now. You must rest Shera, I'll take care of it." She said as she stood up reluctantly, not wanting to leave Shera. She nodded to Helena and left for the central room, where Veral was laid to rest. His ragged breathing and pale features screamed that he had lost a lot of blood. Mazzia knelt down next to him and while she was delving, looked into his vestigial eyes, and knew immediately what had happened. "You.... Lummux!" She said to Veral's unconcious form. Mazzia immediately began to channel and started to restore his lost blood, all the while muttering. "You foolish fool! Why do something like that!?" She was worried about Veral, the mysterious wanderer.
Azrael smiled letting Miluiel, now his mate, rest against him. "Rest as long as you need." He said lovingly.
Shinn looked up at Miluiel's face and giggled, happy to be with his new mother.

"A-are you sure this will be alright?" Miluiel asked Azrael. She wasn't sure if now was the time, she didn't know if he was ready to replace his past wife. She knew she wanted Azrael, but did Azrael really want her, or was it just feelings that he saw spread between Shinn and herself. Though the short time they had been together she had come to love Azrael. She lay her head against him. She smiled at Shinn. She wished to talk to him alone for a moment, but also knew it was important for them to be with Shinn, he was part of the family to be.
"What about the ceremony tonight, will that still b possible?" she asked looking at the wounded who had gathered.

Shera would get up as she managed to move to Celeron. Her eyes were filled with fear as she just hugged him gently. She was terribly frightened as she held him. Her ability to sense things were strong as she eventually closed her eyes. Her body would eventually fall into him as she needed to rest, but didn’t do it. Her need to touch Celeron was greater than her need to rest. She wanted to rest against him more than anything.

Azrael shook his head. "It wouldn't be a good idea to hold it on this evening." He said sadly. "I have not smelled a fire or meat cooking. I think that they already had the idea when the trouble started, so there is no surprise to this for the pack." Azrael smiled and nuzzled Miluiel affectionately.
The head of a werewolf cub about the same age as Shinn popped his head in. He saw Azrael's massive frame first and bowed his head. "E-Excuse me, Degarash." The child asked. "Can Shinn come out and play?"
Azrael turned and smiled. "I believe he can." He said. "Izual is here, my son." He said.
Shinn smiled and gently wiggled himself from Miluiel. "I'm here Izual!" He said excitedly bounding up to his friend.
"Be very careful you two." Azrael said to them.
"We will Opau!" Shinn said as he and Izual ran outside, laughing all the the while.
Azrael looked at Miluiel. "Do you want to talk?" He asked. "Then let us move to the family den. We will have more privacy there." He gestured to the flap that led to the family den.

Miluiel watched Shinn leave, smiling at him as he left. She looked back at Azrael, "Actually that would be wonderful." She said softly. She blushed, feeling awkward. He was taking her to the family den. The thought was still distant to her. "Thank you."

Azrael brought her into the family den and sat her down on his bed, made from exotic animal furs. "What is on your mind?" He asked her sitting down next to her.
Veral's skin eventually took a more pleasant tone and his eyes opened slowly. "Why?" Was his first word. "Why was I spared?" He asked looking away from Mazzia.
Mazzia laid her hands on her hips and she looked at him harshly. "You bloody fool! How could you possibly think of doing such a thing?" She demanded from him angrily.
Veral looked at her. "Because I'm useless!" He exclaimed. "I made the worst mistake ever, and I hurt someone that I didn't want to hurt!" A tear formed in one of Veral's vestigial eyes. "I have been a burden to everyone in my life! I'm useless! No matter what I do, it doesn't matter, or it makes things worse! What's the point?" He asked looking away again.
Mazzia had to restrain herself. She wanted nothing more than to thrash him. "Males!" She exclaimed. "You never think about what you do! Your always too caught up in your bloody pride to think of how what you do affects others! You could get up and apologize and do what you could to make up for it, but no! You go off on how your pride has been stepped on and make stupid decisions!" She said loudly, barely managing to keep herself from yelling.
Veral lifted his head up. "H-hey! You don't understand what I've-" He was cut off by a sharp whack to the head from Mazzia.
"Don't you dare spout off that line! Your an adult, so stop acting like a confused cub!" She said. "Maybe I would understand if you would just bloody tell me! But you won't, will you?" She asked rhetorically, standing up. "I'm going to check on my other patients, so don't you dare try to get up!" She said before stalking off to the guest den.

Miluiel adjusted her position on the soft furs. She folded her hands on her lap and sighed, smiling slightly, but thinking before she spoke. Finally she looked up into Azrael's eyes, her hand trailed to the furs. They were so warm to her. "Azrael, Thank you so much first of all. This is amazing, truly amazing...But I worry, you won't feel bad with this will you? I don't want you to do anything that you wouldn't want, or just for Shinn. I would want you to feel something too." She blowed her head, unable to look at him. "I am not sure if you are ready to allow me to be your wife. Would that upset you?"

Azrael looked flabbergasted. After a few moments he composed himself and held Miluiel close to him. "Of course I am ready for you to be my wife!" He said, honesty spilling from his voice and his eyes watering. "I love you Miluiel! I really do! Sure Shinn's affection for you helped me make my decision, but it is my honest feeling. And yes I still love Izalia, but she has passed on and is wedded to the Moon Father, and I believe that she would support my decision at any rate." He raised himself up a bit higher. "And besides...." He added. "If I didn't feel anything less than true love, I wouldn't have asked you. Because among us, when two are wedded, it is the female who is the dominant. A male wolf weds only to one he truly loves, and serves her, the family's life giver." A tear did managed to escape Azraels control. "I really love you..."

Her heart melted with his words. "Azrael." she said softly, raising up to him, and wrapping her arms around his fuzzy body. She wished that he would be in his human form, but she would not bother him. It would make things seem a little less awkward. "I really have come to love you, and Shinn too." She snuggled against his chest. "I am so relieved. You have no idea!" She told him. She was very nervous, but so happy.

Helena would continue to kneel where she was before finally sighing. She’d lean against the wall as she saw Mazzia enter the guest den again. She hadn’t wrenched her shoulder again, but she was tired. She needed to just rest a bit as she leaned back and placed her head down against one of her knees. Her eyes eventually would close as she opened them again. The jewel luster that was there would turn into a human appearance from the lack of energy to sustain her draconic appearance for too much longer.

Mazzia looked around the guest den, seeing if anyone needed her at the moment. Seeing that she was not needed she slumped against a wall. Even if the techniques that Shera had taught her prevented her from getting as physically taxed, healing and restoring to blood of two people who were so deeply injured was a tiring feet. "That bloody, idiot fool!" She muttered to herself. "Why don't males understand?" She asked herself, trying to rest, but not succeeding.
Azrael held her close to him. "Oh, Miluiel." He said softly. After a few moments of silence he looked at her. "Would you like me to change for you?" He asked. Azrael felt a little awkward, it was hard to be intimate with such a size difference between them.

Miluiel laughed softly, her laugh tangled with her happy tears. "That may be helpful. It is sort of awkward." She blushed. "Thank you very much, it would be most helpful."

Azrael smiled and stood up. "One moment, my love." He said. "I will be right back." Azrael left for the storage room, where he changed into his human form, and changed into some fur clothing. He didn't bother tying back his hair. Azrael looked at himself and smiled and then went back into the family den. He smiled at the site of Miluiel, his soon to be life. Azrael sat down next to her and embraced her. "Is this better?" He asked.

"Much better." Miluiel said blushing. He had never had a man, other than her father, embrace her as Azrael did. She hugged him back, holing him to her. "Thank you," She said to him. She lay her head against his shoulder. Her heart hammered. "When did you say it would happen," she asked snuggling against him. He was so warm. "When do we get..married?"
