When the music began to slow and a new soft beat started to play, she moved a bit closer, still smiling up at you.
You know.. you really scared me today. she whispered softly, her eyes saddening a bit. Usually Quistis wasn't scared that easily, but something inside her became so overwhelmed by the thought you hadn't made it. She was still trying to figure it out even as she spoke.

Yeah. Wouldn't it be cute to see Seifer falling all over himself...
-She wisely omits the "just like you?" about to slip out of her mouth and crams a mini quiche into it instead. She grins, her eyes getting dreamy again, and leans against Squall, obviously daydreaming about being married with ten little Squalls running around, in a cottage with a white picket fence.-

When Squall gave the order for us to go and help today, I made sure I was in a close enough distance to see you. she blushed, looking to the side, finding another couple a good distraction for her eyes. When Rinoa.. when she used her Sorceress powers...I lost sight of you and when I could see everything again, everyone was running back on the ship. I couldn't find you.. I thought.. she tried to hold her emotions about this in check but was finding it most difficult. I thought you had been killed.

Squall quietly slipped an arm around Rinoa's shoulders, thinking about what she said almost laughably.
"Seifer? Tripping all over himself over a woman? If I may quote Raijin... 'That's just not Seifer, ya know?'"
He stopped and pondered then, listening to the music, the same waltz that was played at every graduation ball, the same waltz that he had first danced with Rinoa to.
"Then again, everyone thought that I was incapable of emotion as well. Then I carried Rinoa on my back across a bridge, and jumped out into space after her. Everyone thought I was a hero. But how does doing what you want make you a hero? I was just doing what came normally to me."
Normally. Normal. A normal life.. Where he didn't have to pick up his Revolver when someone waved a wad of gil in Headmaster Cid's face. Where Rinoa never had to pick up her blaster edge at all.
He stopped and thought about those recent thoughts, a quizzical expression on his face. Just what had brought that about? Still, he didn't mind the thoughts. It would be nice to have a family with Rinoa, away from Garden. True, Garden was his home, but he had a feeling that home would be anywhere that he and Rinoa felt comfortable together.
Squall turned his gaze over to Seifer and Quistis, dancing across the floor, oblivious to everything around them. Perhaps that's what's caused him to think about this all of a sudden. Seifer passing his field exam, standing there in a uniform that screamed responsibility. Did Squall feel as though he had some responsibility to Rinoa that he hadn't fulfilled?
He hadn't felt this confused since the day he had walked all the way across the Horizon Bridge with a comatose Rinoa on his back, not knowing if he'd ever hear her sweet voice or see her beautiful smile ever again...

Raven silently slipped out of Balamb Garden after killing around 120 Grats, taking moderate damage in the process, and having taken a quick shower. He was off to who know's where. Not like anyone cared what he did in his free time, or wanted to know.

Still... she looked up at you again, seeming more determined.
But you listen to me Seifer. You scare me like that again.. and I can't be held responsible for my actions. chuckling at her statement, she squeezed you hand.

She fell silent as the pair continued to dance, enjoying the simplicity of it, before you could hear her say. I suppose my 'Good Luck' earlier this morning worked after all. she seemed focused on your uniform in which she said softly.. You really do look good in this.
