A sly grin moved Yuki's lips upwards as she smirked at the boy when he asked what he needed to do to get started. Rolling up the sleeves of her white lab coat, Yuki only stated "A lot of paper work my darling." The Medical Anbu spoke the truth. Even though a lot of skill was required to become a shinobi, there was no trust until she knew everything about the boy. There would also be no passing on of knowledge until she could trust the boy. In these times where an entire Order targeted a way of life, no one could be trusted.
For now though, Yuki would let the boy be and she would hassle him with paper work at a later date. There was another student arriving, who had come earlier than Yuki anticipated. The prinicipal of the academy was very impressed by the girl's poise and fashion as she began to step onto the shoreline of Shimagakure. The clothes she wore definitely indicated Yuki's desire to have Akiko become friends with this girl. Yuki's impression was shattered as the darling Nadeshiko fell to the ground. Putting two fingers to her forehead, Yuki bowed it in disappointment at the girl's clumsy action. "There goes her poise..." the Anbu mumbled to herself as she brought her head back up. "Aranami, be a gentleman," Yuki said with an nod, suggesting that the boy help the girl to her feet.
Whether he helped her or not, Yuki would approach the girl and motioned for Aranami to stay close. "Good morning, Rin'Egan Nadeshiko," the stout woman said as she bowed her head towards the fallen girl. "I am Tenmoki Yuki, Eseijutsu specialist, Anbu and Prinicipal of the Shimagakure Academy. This is one of my newest students, Mouchou Aranami, who will also be starting the Academy just today," Yuki said, giving introductions while the girl got to her feet. "Now, lets clean you off here," the woman said in a nice motherly tone, dusting and sand that got on the girl's beautiful kimono. "And let's get you two acquainted with the village. I must remain here to see off a squad of shinobi that leaves for a mission today. In the meantime, Aranami, why don't you help Nadeshiko with any of her things, take that crate of goods and go to my home. The student dorms are currently... hm... incapacitated, so we'll get you two set up at my home for the time being. I encourage you to clean up, my boy and for you to get into an outfit you're not afraid to get dirty in," Yuki stated to the two as she pointed at wooden crate that had arrived from the fisherman's boat earlier this morning. As she did, she dug into the large pockets of her white lab coat.
After a few seconds of digging, she produced a folded piece of paper. It was an old worn down map of Shimagakure and she handed it to Nadeshiko. "Follow the map to my home. Hopefully you will see your clan mate, Rokugi, so he can help you find the house. Once you've gotten your things set in a safe place and changed, you two will meet me in the housing district of the village, where our lessons will begin today. Do we understand?" Yuki said, raising an eyebrow at the two who had immediately been noted as students and put to their first assignment by the sensei. "Hold on tight to the crate. Its a fragile shipment," she warned Aranami and then turned to Nadeshiko. "Keep the shoreline to your back and you'll be to my house in no-time," Yuki said to her.

[Your exercise will always have a name.] Yuki has given you a map and instructions to first go to her house to clean up and change, then go to the housing district where class will start. Aranami and Nadeshiko: +5 to next roll if taking the advice of Yuki. [All characters can give training bonuses. Since Yuki is an Anbu, she can give you pointers and give you +5 to your training roll. Since Nadeshiko is a student, she is able to give +1 to other's training rolls.]

Aranami outwardly shuddered at the mention of alot of paperwork. "Paperwork, how fun." He muttered sarcastically under his breath. Turning toward the shore where Yuki was looking, he inwardly chuckled a bit as she fell, heading to help her up a second before Yuki suggested for him to. "Hey, are you ok?" He asked the new girl as he held out a hand for her to grab if she wanted help up. Remaining silent through out Yuki's introductions, Aranami wondered if the frail looking girl that he saw fall was really to be a shinobi. "What am I thinking, looks can betray the easiest out of all, I should know that by now." Shaking his a head a bit at his own failure in his mind, he listened as he was given instructions. "Clean up? Oh, yeah, I guess I would be kinda dirty after the time on the raft." He thought as he rubbed his cheek in a vain effort to get the dirt off. After hearing all the instructions for him and Nadeshiko, Aranami turned to Nadeshiko, smiled and said, "Well, we better get going, right? Do you have anything you need me to help you bring?" Then without waiting for an answer, he headed over to the crate, trying to pick up the crate, instantly realizing that the way he was grabbing it wasn't gonna work, put it back down so he didn't drop it. "Hmmm, this might be trickier than I thought."

[There is nothing more frustrating than when the computer screws up and eats one of your posts.]
There was a rather large group of shinobi (and shinobi hopefuls) on the shoreline today, not to mention the various fishermen, merchants and other such seafarers who depend on the ocean for their livelyhoods. The multitude of villagers was called to Kiba's attention when he heard Aya's voice calling to him. His dark eyes darted from one face to the next falling upon several new comers before they finally found the kunoichi he was looking for. As he came out of a final stretch that had restored him to mint condition he waved to Aya and called out to her "Hello Aya-san!" Weaving in and out between a rather large sweaty fisherman and a pearl diver the Raiken swordsman made his way over to Aya. It had been some time since he last saw her, but he still remembered her well as one of the first friends he ever made in the village. He had felt rather awkward when he first moved into his new home, but Aya had helped him to feel welcome. Though on one level Kiba thought of himself as having always been a part of Shimagakure he still distictly remembered when he and Aya first met repairing a well. It was because of this place in Kiba's memories that the young Raiken felt all the more embarrassed by Aya's question about his bokken. It was hardly Kiba's weapon of choice, but he still felt as if he was not yet ready to use the dao that Hammah had so kindly bestowed to him. "Er, yeah, I was gonna bring my bokken..." he finally said averting his eyes from Aya's "But I have other weapons with me of course!" he added quickly pointing to his shuriken and kunai holsters. Dang it! he thought as he said this and reddened with shame. Why haven't I been able to upgrade to a metal blade yet!? I have got to be more dilligent!

Nadeshiko allowed herself to be helped up, and then dusted off. The lady, Yuki, took such a motherly approach to her that she felt certain that she had children of her own. She felt a slight tingling of irritation as she thought of her own mother, who was probably bashing her father back home. She slipped her hairpin within the folds of her clothing, and received the well-worn and folded map from Yuki. Nadeshiko acknowledged her task with a slight nod, her expressive face wearing an expression of utmost determination. She refused to fail at the first task assigned to her, especially after she had so embarassingly just fallen down.
She plucked a few more grains of sand out of her hair, then turned to the blonde boy, Aranami. Nadeshiko could tell that he was sizing her up, and that, at first impression, he was seriously doubting whether she was strong enough to be a ninja. She shrugged it off. Appearances didn't ever matter with her; she had gotten very used to people giving her doubtful looks, fussing over her, and then squirming with uncomfortable surprise when she exceeded all expectations. She shook her head when the rather dirty boy asked if she needed him to bring anything. Everything she had decided to take with her was tucked somewhere in her clothes.
"Um....Aranami, correct? I think it should be a safe bet to simply walk in the direction away from the place we arrived in, the buildings of the village are off that way." Nadeshiko's voice was soft, and a bit uncertain, but it didn't quaver. She had never felt comfortable with strangers. Nonetheless, they needed to work together, so she tried her very best to swallow her shyness. She lifted up a hand in the direction directly opposite from the docks, towards some structures not too far from them, and, holding the map wide open in front of her, walked slowly towards them.

Yawning for a second as he ran his fingers through his hair, Aranami looked at the crate, wondering if it wanted to cooperate with him. While he was being addressed by Nadeshiko he tried to lift the crate, this time picking it up quite easily. Turning to Nadeshiko, he started talking as he went to follow her. "Yeah, my name is Aranami. And sure, where you go I'll follow, since you're the navigator. Anyways, is there any easy to spot seeming landmarks or something on the map, like when we're halfway there or so, just so it'll be easier if we get turned around?" Hurrying to catch up behind Nadeshiko and noticing that she seemed a bit shy, he continued, "So, you're Nadeshiko right? Do you mind me calling you that? Anyways, what brings you to Shimagakure? Well, I should say, why do you wanna become a shinobi? If you don't wanna answer, you don't have to, I'm just curious." Realizing he was probably talking too much and that he might be insensitive, he shut up, deciding to follow silently for a little while while carrying the crate and unsuccessfully trying to not think about the paperwork later.

[OH GAWD I KNOW! i wish i had a keylogger sometimes crying ]
Leaning on the rail of the ship, Aya's blue eyes followed Kiba's finger to see his kunai and his shuriken. With a bright-eyed smirk, Aya gave Kiba a wink. "How about you get on board and we start some training," Aya said with a smile as she turned around to head onto the bow. Her shoes were soft on the wooden planks of the boat. Everyone had finished loading and were now just getting into position to man the small boat. The loud horn blew to signal that the boat was about to leave port. Anyone not on would have to make a grand jump or swim to get on sooner or later. As she stood and waited for Kiba, Aya smiled at Tanu. "We'll have to go shopping once we get to Tonato," the girl suggested, seeing that Tanu was wearing boy clothes. It was cute seeing Tanu in whom's she thought was Kiba's clothes. She looked to the shoreline and still didn't see the remaining three that would be joining them on the mission. She was a little nervous, but she was confident that he would make it. Hadn't Aya left Kane with Kanami last night? Maybe he would be late... for other reasons. Slapping the redness out of her face, Aya took a deep breath.
Standing in the center of the front of the ship, Aya unsheathed her short sword known as the tanto. "Let's practice a little bit on agility, Kiba-kun!" Aya called to Kiba with a smile as she twisted her sword to make it glint in the morning sunlight. "I got the privilege to look over everyone's files for the mission. You're very good with the sword, but you lack grace, eh?" Aya said this not to insult the boy, but to state where his weakness stood in his swordsmanship. "When you graduated, Hamma gave you a Doa. Its a sword built for agile attacks. We're a little opposite with our skills! I have speed and agility, but I lack the form that you have," Aya said with a bit of a giggle. "Ne, ne~ Let's practice our weaknesses together!" Aya suggested as she began twirling her sword around playfully. "You attack and I block," Aya said, knowing that this would be extra challenging for the both of them, since they would be practicing on a ship swaying in water. She tossed her sheath at Kiba, knowing that he'd need something to practice with.

The small girl kept walking at an even and slow pace, making sure that Aranami could keep up, and they were within distance of clear communication. Being flexible and adjusting to suit others was someting easily picked up when living in a caravan of merchants. Nadeshiko listened to the now-chattering Aranami, and nodded in agreement as she consulted the map. According to the map, the road that lead from the beach to the village would take them in between Shimagakure's clinic, and the Hyuuga manor, right to the village center. After that, they would have to make a left turn.
Nadeshiko heard his questions, and she decided she would answer. Since she had to open her mouth to say something about their path, she might as well say a little more to satisfy his curiosity; Nadeshiko easily identified with that. she also sensed that Aranami was simply trying to be friendly.
"The path we are currently on will lead us past the clinic and the Hyuuga manor, if we keep going straight. After that, we will be in the village center. I am training to become a shinobi because I am weak. Why are you here?" The truth was that Nadeshiko was curious too, but as one not to voice her opinions aloud among strangers (and a very childish child), she didn't want to ask first. She stopped for a bit, as she neared the village center, and two large buildings -which were unmistakeably the clinic and the manor- loomed on either side of her to consult her map again and make sure she was going the right way.

Kiba listened to all that Aya said before jumping aboard the boat with her. He could hardly imagine Tanu doing something so girly as shopping, but that was none of his business. He was excited by Aya's proposal and caught the sheath that she tossed to him and nodded with a grin to indicate that he was ready to practice. He felt the weight of it. It was certainly much lighter than the bokken he was accostomed to weilding. He pondered the pros and cons of this. A weighted weapon carried with it the advantage of making for easy follow through swings because of the momentum of its own weight. A ligther weapon relies more on the power of the weilder to generate all of the sword's swing from start to finish, but it is easier to start swinging in the first place. Having thought about the weapon he was using he tried to make a swift thrust forward for Aya to try and block, but, not thinking about how much shorter the sheath was than a bokken he came up short of his target. Rather embarrassed again he quickly pulled it back and coughed. "Uh, yeah, so I'm ready to start now that I have familiarized myself with this weapon." He tried to sound confident like he knew what he was talking about so that he would not betray his mistake in judgement.

Aranami, keeping his grip on the crate, walked along Nadeshiko. He smiled when she started talking, glad he wasn't making her feel uncomfortable. "Why am I here? Hmmm..." He frowned a bit while carefully walking as to not bump the crate too much. "How to word this... Aranami thought to himself as the two new students walked along. "I guess... hmmm... I guess you could say I'm here to get stronger than the person who killed my family. Someone who I met when I was with my previous teacher told me that he trained here, so I decided to come here when my sensei died." He thought about it for a moment, then smiled, knowing he told the important details, without saying about the unimportant ones, such as the fact that his sensei and his family's murder was one and the same. "So I guess overall it's the same as you, I'm too weak, so I came here to get stronger." He smiled as he was looking around at the village where he would hopefully be getting taught soon.

Eavesdrop Try to listen in on someone's conversation without anyone noticing. This can be done be either approaching cautiously so no one notices you are there, or not make it obvious that you are listening, such as pretending you are performing another activity and not paying any attention to anything else. If you're caught, you might be in big trouble. DC:11 1d20:1 Special:If the training can not be done in a row, Sorri's temper has taken form and blown his cover FIALED!!!
Sorri had been swimming with the fishes after his little conversation with the dead. He had been a bit surprised but their reactions to him, some of the water dwellers didn't even seem scared, they would join in on staring contest and schools would raise and fall, imitating the white haired genin. Had they been domesticated by staying so closely to the island? Before he knew it, he was already running low on breath and the words that spewed like venom from Tanu's mouth were heard by Sorri. He went to rushing swim to the shore, how dare that-straight out of the academy-Iwannabeaninja-punk down talk his entire family!? It wouldn't have been such a mistake if it had just been him that she had spoken on but no she went in and put the entire clan on the spot, his family had nothing to do with that fight.
Upon getting to the shore he he rushed off his s**t and threw it on top of the pier with his hoodie. He stood next to his cousin and placed his hand on his shoulder.
"You wanna know how they beat me? I challenged the pink haired man looking little one to a match and the moment I start to get out her grip her teammate jumps in with a weapon to save her! Never in my life have I been so ashamed of another "ninja" on this island. Not only did you unknowingly embarrass your-selfs in front of your sensei yesterday, but you try to dishonor and embarrass my whole clan by filthying up it's name today?! I dare ANYONE that thinks ME or MY FAMILY as WEAK to stand before me and fight me ONE ON ONE like a real WARRIOR!"
Sorri sat in the sand with his legs crossed, he would wait all night and day if he had to,no one would just say whatever they thought they could around him, not with this bundle of anger going on. Hell, if it hadn't been for the respect he had for The Tenmoki Clan, he would have knocked out the trash talker right then and there. right then and there

As the late trio arrived at the shoreline, the boat was just getting ready to shove. "Gomen na sai!" Hanabira apologized to the captain as she, Kane and Kazuma, who Kane was carrying over his shoulder like a hay bail, got onto the boat. She didn't have time to say hello to Sorri or Yuki, because the boat was shoving off now. The young Yamanaka didn't even realize that half of the Tenmoki family was on the boat either, nor that there was a new Ibazi standing next to Sorri. She did realize that Sorri was yelling rather loudly, but wasn't sure at who... As Kane sat Kazuma down next to some crates and fish nets, he tilted his head towards Aya with a charismatic smile, apologizing for being late and thanking her for keeping Kiba busy! "We made breakfast for everyone," Hanabira said as she took off her pack and opened it up to reveal several bento boxes. "I also have cakes for the journey," the girl said thoughtfully. "Please do take some when you're done training, Kiba, Tanu, Aya-senpai," Hanabira said with a light smile as she spoke each of their names in turn.

[Everyone can exit to the Fisherman's Boat now.]"Calm your temper!" Yuki demanded with narrowed green eyes immediately as Sorri began shouting at someone who couldn't even hear him anymore. Immediately, the boy was setting a bad example for his new clan member and Yuki was ashamed for him. "Sorri, take your clanmate to the housing district. We will be rebuilding the apartments today as a village-wide task. Go on, now," Yuki said a little less sternly than her first comment towards the boy. As the boat let out a loud whistle twice, to signal that it was shoving off. Yuki was rather displeased that Akiko was nowhere to be seen. As Midori, Koyuki and Ayumi stood by the railing, Yuki lifted her arm to wave good-bye to them. It was a big surprise that Ayumi wasn't crying, but her daughter wouldn't understand where she was going until she got there. Poor Midori would have to deal with her tears or continuously lie to her... "Good-bye my darlings!" Yuki called, trying to keep a bright smile on her face. She was losing her baby girl though... The last bit of Sachiriku that was left in her life...
...
The tears were welling up in her eyes, but Yuki kept her broad smile plastered on her face as she continued to wave to her family. Her other hand would come up to her cheek to catch a tear falling down her pale soft skin as she watched the most precious things to her float away on the sea.

[Entrance from Shinobi Weapon Shop]
Akiko finally caught sight of the shoreline. Much to her horror, she saw the boat begin to pull away from the land. She burst into a sprint, charging straight toward the end of the dock. She dodged people as best she could but inevitably bumped a few of them along her way. When she reached the end of the pier, she became dismayed. The boat was already leaving, and she never got a chance to bid her mother farewell. As she panted and gasped for breath, she wished with all of her heart that she could somehow turn back time or pull the boat back to her. But, that was not meant to be. Then, she wished she could be on the boat, too... but she couldn't swim, and there wasn't any other way... unless...
"Yuki-sama! I need your help!" Akiko clasped her hands together into the seal of the Ram and whipped her chakra all about her. Then, with a flick of the wrist, she cried, "HENGE NO JUTSU!" A puff of smoke engulfed her petite form, and when it cleared, a single kunai fell to the ground and clattered as it came to rest in front of her aunt's feet.

With Yuki-sensei's command his lips when tightly shut and his angry expression only changed after looking at the academy principal out of his perifial vision and sighed.if it hurt to see everyone leave then why no go along, why send little Ayumi away anyway Sorri pondered and began to think through it. Maybe the dangers that came from living on the village, let alone the ninja lifestyle was just... upsetting. Maybe She just didn't want her baby girl to go through that. He sighed and brushed himself off and looked to the road. He didn't know to pat her back or if there was something he should do to comfort his old sensei.

Kiba had just gotten ready to begin his training with Aya in ernest when his ears perked up upon hearing Sorri's insulting words. His face reddened with fury as he soaked them all in, his right eye began to twitch and he could hardly restrain himself from hurling the sheath he held in his hand at the Ibazi. Indeed, if Sorri had not quickly left for the Housing District the young Raiken might have tried to hit his target. Instead he just contented himself with, after making sure Sorri was out of earshot, angrily shouting "Dang it you stupid Ibazi! It's called teamwork! TEAMWORK!! Don't be a sore loser!" Calming down a bit Kiba muttered "Besides, Tanu was more than a match for you anyway." Having thus stood up for the honor of his squad the young Raiken took in a deep breath and tried to focus back on his training with Aya, but was again inturrupted by the sudden arrival of the rest of his tardy squad plus one Kun Kumo. Unsure of the friction that this might cause Kiba cordially said "Hello" and "Thank you" Hana before once again trying to resume his training. He had resolved to be more diligent and he would not be distracted! Assuming proper form he made a well executed, swift horizontal slice in Aya's direction.
