Lula couldn't help but bring her whistle out again. It wasn't that she enjoyed playing for other people... She enjoyed playing only for herself. She began playing a sad, slow song and it echoed through the trees as a melancholy, drifting melody. She wasn't playing any song in particular. She was improvising. She was playing what came to her naturally... And she didn't really know where exactly this was coming from. Oh, well. It's coming from somewhere, now isn't it? The song slowed down even further, pulling at heartstrings as it spoke the story of a wandering lass, drifting through the land in search of... Something...

The melody continued, hauntingly drifting from an exploration to the despair of the realization that there was nothing to be found. An endless wasteland... Stretching in every direction. She walked for miles, but never seemed to get anywhere. Nothing... Absolutely nothing. The song told the story of how she fell to her knees, crying to the world and wondering at why she was damned to this hell. There was nothing she had done... She had always been fair... She had always been good... She had respected the rules, and she had built her family strong...

And her despair continued. The song was not coming to Lula. It seemed it wished to sustain this for a little longer... The woman struggled... Her despair grew more irrational... Accidentals danced into the melody, against Lula's wishes... But she managed to incorporate them without too much error... The woman was not only alone, but she was starting to realize that no one was going to take pity on her... There was nothing but despair... She gave herself into it...

And Lula became too wrapped up in the story. Her hand twitched and the whistle danced itself out of her lips. The sudden halt in the music was haunting. She couldn't let that happen... It made it feel as if... No... She didn't. Lula quickly recovered the whistle, trying to push herself back into the second verse. It was despair... She was so hopeless. It seemed like it could never end. She was slowly discovering that she was alone in the wasteland, and that nothing was ever going to be here in this barren, desolate place...

And the accidentals grew in intensity. Major to minor... perfect intervals to minors. The entire song shifted to an enharmonic sound. She was angry. The song grew louder. mezzo-piano... mezzo-forte... Crescendo to forte... Slipping dangerously close to fortissimo... She was screaming at the world. She was damning every single blade of grass and every being on the planet and off of it. There was nothing here, and they had left her all alone. She was alone... forte-piano... A single, haunting chord swelling and then suddenly dropping to an almost inaudible dynamic.

And as soon as it was done, Lula let slip again the whistle, although this time it was catastrophic. She failed her recovery. it dropped to the ground and she cursed herself. What happens next!? It can't end that way. It can't! She bent down and snatched her whistle from the grass. She had to wait... She needed to come back in on time... She closed her eyes and tried to feel the music out... So many stories... But this is the one that wanted to be told... it just couldn't end that way... So much hate... So much anger at the universe...

She couldn't find it... She put the whistle to her lips, hoping to spark the story again... But it wasn't any use... She had wandered so long... She had been through so much... NO! It wasn't fair... It wasn't right... There was no way that she could live with that being the end... It wasn't right... It was wrong... There was no excuse for letting someone die that way... So angry with everything and so angry with herself... There wasn't a way Lula could let that happen...

She found it. All of a sudden, she was back... The woman was there again. The melody spoke of how she was so angry there was no way to express it. And then... Suddenly it dropped in intensity. It wasn't sadness... It wasn't hopelessness... The feeling... This feeling was realization... This feeling was acceptance... She had accepted that the world was empty... She had accepted that she was going to be alone for as long as she lived... An eternity of isolation... An eternity of the same existence, day after day... And she didn't hate anyone for it... She saw that there was much more value in what she had lived than what she would live... She was satisfied with her lot now...

Glorious crescendo! Magnificent harmony. The world was springing up around the woman! She watched as life appeared, as everything around her turned lush, turned green! Music filled the air, drifting through her like air through chimes! There was nothing but beauty in every direction! Endless, marvelous beauty! Never before had there been so much life, so much happiness on the world!
Lulling decrescendo... And she realized that it was because... It was because she had known what it was to have loss.
Roaring celebration! Never again would there be despair, nor anger, nor even the need for sorrow! There was LIFE! The world was returned to her as a golden jewel, a magnificent recreation of itself!
Gorgeous lullaby... Playing her to sleep in this, this marvelous dream... The world wrapped her in a warm embrace, and they were whole once again...
The final note echoed and made one wish to cry with overwhelming laughter. That single note was both haunting as a lover's croon and as joyful as the resounding acceptance of their partner... In a single note, a heavenly duet whispered through the earth. One simple note... Can contain the entire world.
Lula fell back, tears down her cheeks and a smile on her lips. She lay against her tree as she remembered every melodic piece of that song... It had touched her more deeply than any other song... It spoke to her... And she understood what it was saying... That understanding... It was overwhelming.

Whats up with you?". he said as she should be happy that she played a good performance but thats how girls are crazy. Her hair a firey red like wildfire but her eyes a green. Yes a very strange girl with a strong acticent

Lula looked up at him. "And I reckon that ye'd be wantin' another butt-whoopin' then?" She sprang up and stared into his eyes. "If ye think ye can 'andle me." The girl's tears were gone, and the peaceful smile was gone, replaced by a fiery glare and a cocky grin. She stepped away from the tree, her hips swinging playfully as she stepped into the middle of the clearing and turned to face him, her hand on her hip. "Ye comin' there, pampered little boy?" Her curls stopped bouncing several seconds after she did, and she cocked her head to the side, shifting her feet impatiently.

Cracking his neck and popping his knuckles he has a smirk on his face as he has no chance to win. Always giving someone a chance he might as well she got him pretty bad last time." Hmhp...Ok I'll let you go first again yay know its only fair.." Just like the first time he stood there with no stance at all. Both his hands in his pockets he looks at her with a cocky expression." Hoshi walked through the forest and looked around. The message on the classroom blackboard told him, or at least any student who was late to class to report to Training area 16 for class, and here he was. The only problem was that he was lost, as he generally didn't have a good sense of direction in places like this even if they were pretty much like a back yard for students. "Man, which way now...which way..." he muttered turning around to get his bearings.

Melediana, sitting calmly on a boulder, turned her sapphire blue eyes upon the newcomer. Quite a beautiful one she is too, with her porcelain skin, perfect, doll-like features, and long, wavy flame-red hair that the passing spring breeze would ruffle. Though this woman had the Konoha hia'ate around her neck, it was hard to imagine her as a full-time shinobi...with such well-kept hair and...her manner of dress wasn't so practical. Speaking of which...though her dress was modest, not even too adorned, she did have quite a figure... At her waist was a curious ornamental belt, from which was affixed a carrying pouch on either side of her dress...and simple sandals - not the shinobi kind but closer to the kind that goes with kimonos.
More huh? She thought. It was a bit surprising...Gekkani-chan never mentioned there would be so many. And according to what she heard from the young Hyuuga captainess...Moku-sama even already assigned three as guest students to a squad. Besides, it was also strange. She would swear by those markings... Well, she probably should greet the boy.
"Welcome." She said finally, smiling. "And you may be...?"

Lula didn't make a forward move. "There ain't gonna be no rules to this one, ye hear? We're gonna fight tooth and nail, hear me?" She pulled six shuriken from her pouch, holding her hands crossed in front of her. "Unless you'd be feelin' like backin' out now?" Lula was again trapping him with his pride. As a man with something to prove, he couldn't very well turn her down... But she seemed to be a little better with these little flying baddies than he was, even if he was an Uchiiha.
