I posted a matching set based off my favorite Ravenclaw banner - I kinda like how they all turned out! It's given me something to do since I'm sick!
Also, The_Golden_Sage - I made a banner (if you want it) for DA: Assembled Once Again. smile
Well, I'm off to take a shower and see if that helps me feel like a human again! smile

Yes, and we're also in the lead for house points!
I have something really serious that I want to ask you guys. I don't know of your spiritual/religious inclinations - but I could seriously use some prayers or thoughts from you guys tonight and tomorrow.
See, a very dear friend of mine - really he's like my brother - could use some of those good thoughts. He's 23 and I love him to pieces. He comes from a family that has some heart problems in their family history and the men tend to die at a younger age (late 50s or so) because of that. He has been having some chest pain and heart palpitations over the past few weeks and was referred by his doctor to a cardiologist because the doctor didn't like what the EKG showed him. We don't know what is going on right now, but I know that we're all a little scared. We hope it's just stress from finals and getting ready for his clinicals (and apparently gf issues) - but there is that lingering thought of a heart problem in the back of our heads.
I can't lose him. Please pray or think about him tonight for me, it would mean a lot. I sincerely hope that my fears are unfounded.

To everyone: We should make Yule banners and post in the thread to get more points! Make sure that the banner is attached to your sig when you post, and then I guess you can take it off. Huzzah for more points!

Orna, prayers for perfect works for your friend, that he feel supported and loved and his heart can relax!
Everyone, banners about Yule are sent to AccioFunds (and end up being sent to me to post) so it would help if you send a smaller thumbnail, as sometimes when you reduce the photo you have to reposition the words. They stay in your sig through Christmas for you to get house points, but you have to post at least once in the Erised gifting thread (not yet open).
The banners are in a contest to all Haven, people will vote in the poll and the winner (most popular) will get significant gold and 20 house points.
So the earlier you do a banner the better, Poll will go up on Dec. 15. (Deadline to enter--and I better amend and put that in). Voting goes on through Dec. 22, so that gives everyone a week to vote. Check out the Boo gifting thread (not the instructions, this time will be simpler) but the way people posted and that might help)

They're having him wear a harness to monitor his heart rate and any fluctuations that might occur and he has another EKG schedules next week.. So for now it's just waiting and praying.
Thanks again guys - this has me seriously worried and has really shaken me.

Speaking of the Yule Ball - I've started a thread in the Events subforum for our house to decorate. I have the first two posts reserved, and that's where we'll put our decorations (I believe it's meant to be a Ravenclaw commons during the event) in. There is also supposed to be a vote for whichever House decorates their thread the 'best.'
What I'd LOVE is if you guys would either PM me or post here with some Ravenclaw Holiday decorations that we can use to decorate the thread. I'll assemble it in word and the thread for you guys to critique.
Any takers?

paraphernalia_101 What do you mean by decorating?? Like decorating as putting streamers and balloons and flowers and such? Yes - all Ravenclaw themed though! So a lot of Blue & Bronze, ravens, etc. I've put some things up (temporarily) in the thread, so that might give you an idea.
