Ted heard the comment, and was annoyed. He knew that there was more to this man then met the eyes. So, Ted spent a minute looking him over, trying to judge any likely weaknesses. There weren't any. Man, what does it take to beat him? I can't even see anything he could mess up with.

{Just do something. It will be looked at as weak if you don't.}

Oh, alright.

Ted just walked in between everyone else. After all, he was at the back of the group. When he was within a decent distance, he dashed forward, then slid along the ground, hoping to take Legion's feet from underneath him.

Siber scratched his head and flashed a quick grin as he pocketed the phone. "That would be the, ah, opener from 'Aladin.' And the good 'Captain Sparrow' is a close acquaintance. He's in L.A. for the week, apparently, and must have seen me when I got here, so he decided to call. What about you? Do you have anyone you know here?"
Siber began to wonder if perhaps his uncle knew magic. The Captain was Siber's role model in all of his play-acting and preparedness, so it wouldn't come as too great a surprise, but it seemed an impossibility that he would know magic and have evaded both the Hunters and Legion. However, his proficiency with sleight-of-hand and secrecy certainly gave the impression...

Siber sighed, but began the sequence. He was beginning to tire of all the practice, but he knew it was good for him, so he acquiesced without argument.

"I'd ask if you were okay, but that would be kinda pointless," Paul said, one eyebrow raised. "What happened down there? That's a pretty nasty burn you've got." It was, indeed, nasty. It would take time, but it was probably a second degree, maybe third. Hopefully second only.

Joe quickly focused and hurled four fireballs at Legion fron the side. He also slashed his hand through the air, creating a crescent blade of wind that sliced right at Legion's abdomen.

Kayla grinned, which ended up looking a lot like a grimmace. "I ran into some toruble, but I dealt with it and I believe I have a new ally. Maybe a few new allies, I don't really know."

"Anything in particular I can do for you?" Paul asked, leaning slightly closer to examine the burn. Kayla's burn didn't look quite as bad closer, but it would probably start blistering soon. It wouldn't hurt to get ice on it, but they were in a car. Then again, Paul was a freakin' elementalist. Not necessarily an evoker, so he might have to get creative with it, and neither was he a healer, but he could try.

An idea struck him, and he pulled off his wristwatch. It was magic ice. It would recover. Hopefully. Reaching into his pocket (and hoping that he could at least partially shape the vague thaumaturgic energies), he whipped out his 'Pod and pointed it to the watch, whirling the clicker down to "ice encapsulation (10)". With one quick squeeze of the center button, he fired. Never before had his willpower been focused so vehemently on one thing.

It worked. A thin layer of ice surrounded the watch, although the hands had stopped. Should it recover, it would need to be reset, although that wasn't such a bad fate.

"Here. It'll probably hurt, but it's better than just letting it keep getting worse." He held the frozen watch out to her.

Legion hopped upward and spun, touching his limbs to the ceiling and pushing off to land just behind where Ted had slid past him, almost a second after the wind blast went between Legion and Ted.

"Good, but slow. And what are the rest of you waiting for?!" he snapped.

"Alan, why the hell didn't we have a teleport network rigged in advance?" Joshua murmured to him, annoyed at how long it was taking.

"Too energy consuming," Alan replied quietly. "I don't suppose either of us are too good at healing, so that's a problem, isn't it?"

"No, I decided to learn healing in the past ten minutes. Of course neither of us can do healing," Joshua shot back, rolling his eyes. "We just need... to get back... faster."

"Hey, blame the traffic, not me," Alan muttered, rolling his eyes in return.

Aurelie watched passively for a moment, noting Legions moves.

, was all Aurelie could think to reply to Apolline.

Taking a step back onto her heels Aurelie held both hands up, activating her glyphs as fast as she could. Twirling her wrists she mumbled as her glyphes lit blue and yellow. "Oculus thundara!" A spinning whirlwind of ice formed in front of her, and she began spinning it faster, adding lightening bolts that spun crazily through the mix. Careful to keep a hold on it she spun it towards Legion, avoiding the other warlocks. Forming ice shards with sharp tips inside she aimed to wrap it around him and attack with the projectiles as the whirlwind made more. Then she activated her fire glyph into another whirlwind to attack from the other side at the same time and sent it spiraling faster towards him.

Legion waited until the last second, his head nodding gently in time to the movement and flows of the magic. The lightning passed through him as though he weren't there. With a flick of his hand, he hijacked her control of the firestorm and stepped aside as he threw it into the ice storm. Both dissipated in a blast of steam.

"Not bad, not bad..." Legion commented thoughtfully. "Overly complex, though; when it comes to re-establishing your thaumaturgic arsenal there'll be no need to make a hurricane of fire where a fireball will do just as well."

"Unholy hell.." you![./i]!> Apolline said incredulously. Aurelie was astounded for a moment, then thought about his words. He was right, , Aurelie ignored Apolline's comment.
Already thinking of things to use that with she smiled, determined to prove herself, though she held no doubt that she would never even scratch him.
Mumbleing again she spoke and lifted her palms towards him, watching as her gloves lined with a deep purple light that turned black as her shadow glyph activated. Throwing belts of shadow at him to restrain his movements she lunged and twisted, sliding out her sword with a hiss of steel, aiming for him even as she poured sparks of energy down her blade to give it a bite.

Legion smiled at Aurelie. The sword touched his skin and burst from Aurelie's grip, spinning into a corner of the room. Takeshi and Joe ducked it. Legion then took one calm step to the side, showing that the shadows were not actually affecting him.

"My dear," he chuckled, "You are a long way from effective shadow-based paralysis on anyone capable of using magic. I doubt you could hold Samuel any longer than you could hold me. It's too easy for a magic user to just run a little magic through the limb and have it work fine. You need the precision to stop nerves to do that to a mage."

Takeshi chose that moment to fire his USP at Legion; the round stopped just an inch away from his eye.

"Good. Simple and direct. Cutting out unnecessary parts and leaving only what is needed. I like it; most would've fallen to that," Legion critiqued. The bullet fell to floor as Takeshi stared.

Joe pulled a razor-edged knife from somewhere and twirled it through his fingers. He lunged at Legion and swung at his neck while at the same time generating a fireball in his other hand, which he swung at Legion's head from the other direction.

Legion stood in place, allowing both the fire and the knife to pass through him. The fire made a dull warm sensation on Joe's hand, without burning it, while the knife felt no sharper than a spoon at best.

"Careful," Legion commented without moving. "If I hadn't protected your hands from each other you'd be in a lot of pain right now. Risky."

Aurelie was gaping a few feet away from Legion, watching the others try now. Turning her head she located her poor sword ebedded in a wall. Curseing softly she slipped over and tugged on it until it finally slid out of the wall with a hiss, and she replaced it in the scabbord, noting it would have to be fixed. Thinking about his words she huffed softly, knowing he was right of course. But she hadn't practiced the shadow thaumaturge nearly any, so she hadn't been sure, though she had known it wouldn't hold him, even if it would a lesser mage.

Turning back to the fray she watched for a moment, trying to think of something that would possibly even make him flinch. But as soon as the idea popped in her head she dismissed it. After he merely said something earlier, she didn't want to say that out loud to distract Legion. She figured he would probly make her ashes where she stood if she pissed off those demons inthere. So she stayed silent a moment, watching the others as she tried to think of something else.

Samuel cocked his head and watched the efforts of his companions.

Samuel took a snapshot glimpse of the room and closed his eyes, visualizing the room around him in his mind. Forming an image of flame in his mind, he envisioned a hollow sphere of flame appearing around a target and collapsing quickly around the target, to create a blazing pillar of fire, centered on the target's location, that let out a shock wave of flames.

Opening his eyes once more he put his hands together in concentration smiled with anticipation as he whispered the word "fire" and the spell went off, centered on Legion. In anticipation of further battle, he prepared a large number of fireballs, his smile wide as the flames flickered at his fingertips, his eyes fixed on the shrinking sphere of flame in the center of the room.
