Nope, sorry! I mean, it'll be similar, but it won't be that /same/. The personality and bio will be there though, and that's the important part.

Well, you could keep weapon, I guess... The issue here is that I'm changing a number of significant details to the story, so I don't know exactly how everything is going to end up, so... I caaaan't really tell you what's going to be on the profile because I don't really know just yet.

And man, is Dark Souls tough, and frustrating, but it gives you a real sense of accomplishment when you achieve something.

True, Star Driver's cybodies did evoke an alien feel to them, which made perfect sense once their origin is explained.
Gundams were also originally intended to resemble ornamental samurai armor, hence their head crests and some recurring themes in their design.
Yeah, seeing a Gundam series would certainly help. For outlandishness, go w/ Mobile Fighter G Gundam; for seriousness, go w/ Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
I'm not a fan of Gargantia's mech design (mostly due to the black hole generator it uses to fly instead of a propulsion system). Geass and FMP mechs are okay-to-good for me (depends on the individual mechs). I really like the Eureka 7 mechs, and the Gurren Lagann mechs have a certain charm to them once you get used to the face-body design.
That could certainly do it; I love the Mega Man Battle Network games! My first mecha was Gundam Wing on Toonami back when I was about 6.
