It is SO busy, but is that really a bad thing? I think not. Heck, even I'm posting more often ::waves farewell to his lurking camp::
Welian: I've been playing the first Dark Souls! Hooray commonality (However minimal)!

Only a little, I personally haven't found too many places that do serious damage that aren't the edge of the world. But it occurs to me that you might be talking about Dark Souls 2, so it may have gotten more dangerous, if that's possible?

2 is the only game I have of the series (it was a gift, I'm actually not much of a gamer), so I have nothing to compare it to, but basically there's a lot of dark places and little ledges and bridges with holes in them.
I died in the first area/tutorial area walking straight off a cliff because I thought the ledge continued (and I didn't know moving the camera to check around was a thing) (and my friends wonder why I'm prone to falling and not dodging).

I am an oblivious turd and have no idea what anyone else is doing. As for myself, I'm going to start setting up Knights. The Almatha RP will probably be a couple of weeks, I think it would be better to stagger them than to give myself the task of setting up two threads at the same time.

@Bliss: Be aware, the Souls franchise (Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne) is known for being brutally difficult (about as hard as the old 8/16-bit games of yore).
~
@Welian/StarDriver:
That's also what I've heard of the movie. I guess the intro threw me off, since those events shouldn't (not couldn't) happen given the show's ending.
Oh, yes, I also love its combination of mecha and mahou! It feels like the sheese/ham/camp of G Gundam (of "shining/burning finger" fame) taken to the Nth degree, which is so awesome. I really disliked the mecha designs at first (I very much prefer the more "normal"/standard Gundam style of mech), but I grew to like them by the end. Granted, by now I've watched it through around 5 times total.
Oh, yes. Star Driver has 4 layers from my and my friend's (we're otaku who like diving into the literary merit/depth of anime) analysis: 1) style (the surface layer) 2) sex (the message most people will realize) 3) story (the narrative of the fish and the mechs, including the discrepancies between the storytellers) 4) meaning (what the story of the fish and the mechs means and how it relates to the cast both figuratively and literally [including understanding the full reasons behind Tokio's ambitions]).
Yes, the show's aesthetic styling is phenomenal all-around. The way the maidens each have a season-themed song they sing as an introduction to Zero Time and the imagery, speech, and action that take place up until the fight begins are just stupendous!

I agree! Except for one thing - I totally prefer the Star Driver cybody designs soooo much over Gundams and other traditional/conventional mechs. They're so slender and delicate and otherwordly, I have no problem believing they're from another world, another civilization entirely.
Personally, I think a lot of Gundams are ugly, but I also know that they're meant to have a utilitarian design, and be machines of war. I also haven't seen any of the anime, which is an issue. Since I like the mechs from Gargantia, Code Geass and Full Metal Panic, which are all shows I've watched, I bet that I'll like Gundams a lot more after I've watched the show and their designs have been put into context.
Sometimes though, I wonder if my preference for more outlandish and/or organic designs comes from the fact that my first anime love was the NT Warrior version of Megaman.
