The assistant manager is being canned, and I am apparently on the fast track out as of this moment . . . for having an affair with the assistant manager.
No, I never have been intimate with her.
It has come to my attention that the owners are aware of the illegal activities of the store (working off the clock), and even the inactivity of the Manager, and they do nothing about it. Needless to say, i am displeased with my current vocation.

So much of what is going on is stupid on so many levels. Tonight I worked with the manager, and he tried to reassure me that my job is not on the line and everything is fine where I am concerned. I told him that I am paranoid by nature, and this week has confirmed every thing I thought. For now, I'm keeping my yap shut.
I also only believe I am "safe" because all the guns are now turned on my friend, the asst manager.
Even high school wasn't this bad.

This is why I'm not a fan of the business world. So much immaturity hiding behind contrivances. But, at least your job is safe for your family's sake.

Yeah, today I found out that we needed to stop our affair at work because it was "unprofessional." I literally laughed at that- hard. I had to ask how professional it was to listen to and spread rumors! stare

that is the stupidest thing i have ever hear magni... you need a new job... i don't understand why people never grow up i mean seriously. What the point of spreading rumors like you are in middle school....

Hate to say it, snowman . . . but you and I seem to be the only regular residents of the Refuge anymore. crying Just the other day I was wondering what happened to people like Tana or Kira. Familiar faces that are long since gone.

I'm aware of that, but people usually stick around for a few days when they pop back in for a visit. At least, they used to...
Kira's been gone for a long time (though maybe he was around more recently while I was at college). As for Tana, he pops in when he pleases and sticks around again for as long as he pleases.

Yeah, Kira has been gone for years and years at this point. He was a good friend, and I miss him. We talked for a little bit in MSN Messenger, but even that faded away. As for Tana, he does seem to be quite nomadic, ne?

Yeah, I used to IM w/ some high school friends of mine, but college (at which I couldn't really use IM clients) killed that. I'm wondering if I should catch up w/ them... Presently I only IM w/ my best friend and DM from college.
Oh yeah, Tana's quite the mover. Aside from his internet life, he moves all around the world.
