Eh, no prob.
Seeing that you were fine, Ash heads back over to the bar and gets his glass and smoke. He takes them over to where you are and sits down near you, taking a drag and then a sip.
Have I always been able to see auras? Nope...that happened when I joined the army. I was "woken up" to my powers.

Zac was still having a slight problem with her hearing so was happy when Ash moved a little closer then before, she didn't want to have to ask him to yell.
What do you mean woken up?
What exactly does the army do to you guys?

Ash could tell that he was going to have to explain things in a strange way so as not to make the situation worse. He hadn't really turned much information up prior to this.
Heh...I can't tell you exactly what happens but lets just say I work for an army that is bigger than Gaia, Bigger than the planet, bigger than everything...an army that forces me to give up my own life to protect the lives of others. Can you grasp something that big?
Ash's voice was still the same more relaxed and less profane version that Zac had been hearing recently. His words weren't meant as condescending.

Zac stracthed her head and winced a little. There wasn't a bump like Ash had saidm but it sure did hurt. Removing her hand she fiddled with what was left of her sandwich.
I think so...kind of. I understand what you're saying if nothing else.
Zac needed to stretch her legs so getting up from her chair, plate in hand she walked to the other side of the bar to dump her food. Her legs were still a little shaky so she used the bar for support. When done she stayed on the other side of the bar facing Ash, as she leaned against it.
Why did you join the army?

When Ash saw Zac wince, he realized that she must have had some pain in her head. He placed his hand on her head and she could feel the gloved surface touching her but still very hot. Were she to watch his eyes, she would see a faint red tint go across them. At this point, Zac might feel her headache going away and her pain easing as well. He then moved his hand back to rest on his pantleg.
That's all you need to understand is part of it. Why did I join?
Ash closed his eyes a moment, emptied his glass and took a drag off his smoke that was now almost gone. He thought of the horror, the blood, the pain, the screams, the death. He wasn't about to explain it to her so he chose something truthful but vague.
I joined because I didn't have s**t..my life was a waste, I saw death and pain and wanted to fix it....now that's all I do.
The way Ash was carrying himself now seemed very strange to Zac compared to his original attitude, he was more reserved...more...thoughtful.

Zac nearly blushed when Ash put his hand to her head, the heat of his gloved hand sending shivers down her spine. Not in a sexual kind of way, but rather comforting like she could fall asleep with him touching her like that. Her eyes darted to his, and saw the momentary red tint pass through them before he pulled his hand away, she could feel the pain in her head ease.
She just watched and listened to him for the time being, her hearing finally clearing up completely. She felt a pang of despair as she could hear the sadness in his voice. To have to go through life like he did, must be a nearly aweful existence.
You know Ash I've never heard you talk like this before, it's rather nice. I mean, not what you're saying exactly, but how you're saying it.
She didn't know what else to say, and didn't want to press the matter even further so steered the conversation into another direction, as she smirked a little.
Ash when you leave, do you ever not leave? Like, you disappear, but yet you're still here?

Taking the final drag off his smoke, Ash put it out in the tray and breathed it out. He could tell that Zac might think different of him now. He always did what he did until he knew if he could trust someone. He smirked as he thought about how positively she seemed to react.
Well, don't get used to this s**t... I am just being serious right now. Ain't gonna get me all calm and s**t.
Ash downed his glass and took it over to the bar and put it in the sink. He sat back down and laughed slyly at Red's question.
Usually I leave because I have to leave...but I might have heard some crazy s**t said when they thought I wasn't around. Why? Got a secret you wanna see if I know?

She couldn't help but laugh now, he knew the "old" would crop back up sooner or later, and just wondered how long it would take.
Hehe, don't worry about it. I won't. I wouldn't dream of trying to keep you all calm and s**t.
She mimiced him as best she could, but all in fun, as he put his glass in the sink. When he sat back down she thought about his last question, her face scrunching up some.
I don't think so, do you think you know any secrets about me?

Ash laughed a little at Zac's imitation of him and put on a face of mock anger.
Hey! Get up off me with the imitation s**t! You ain't as cool as me!
He laughed and then thought about the other question. He didn't know much of anything except what he had heard in rumors so he shook his head. About that time he heard a call.
Nope, ain't heard anything about you other than you are a funny drunk. But anyway...work calls...see ya!
Ash then fades away into empty space leaving Zac feeling alone.

Zac did a visible hand palm as Ash mentioned that she was a funny drunk, she'd nearly forgotten about that, but now it all came crashing back to her. She almost missed Ash leaving but in the last instant she waved her goodbye's as he fades away.
Now with Ash gone she didn't know what to do, until she remembered she hadn't taken a walk in a while, so leaving from behind the bar she exists outside and walks off into the woods.
((Now she won't be staring into space all day. xDD))

((Ack, I totally forgot I left them on the couch. sweatdrop ))
*Hikaru woke up feeling achy all over. It was clearly becoming an issue sleeping downstairs. He looked at Akito and saw that he was still sleeping. He touched his forehead and felt that he was a bit cold and clammy. With a frown Hikaru stood up and picked Akito up gently in his arms. He wasn't sure if Zac was still in his room, but at least Akito could have some of his bed. Slipping his shoes off, he went upstairs to his room and found it empty. Relieved, he set Akito down gently and pulled the covers over his body. Then he laid down next to him on the bed and held his hand as he fell back asleep.*

Ben had been less than active the past few days. His energy was really playing tricks on him and he didn't like it. He had managed to have some food occasionally, read, walk around a little and even get some fresh air. He was delighted when he found that he seemed to have a normal amount of energy today.
He got out of bed and noticed Synge was still sleeping, surely she had been up and around but their schedules just hadn't matched up. He shrugs and then heads to the bathroom. Stripping down, he took a warm shower and changed into his favorite "professional" outfit. He cleaned himself up and headed out to the main tavern to see how many new faces had shown up.

Ben thought it was rather odd that the place seemed so dead lately, it looks as though little had changed in the place for quite some time. He sighs and then starts prepping food for his breakfast.
