Kitty jerked awake. She looked around fuzzily. It was dark, the fire was almost out, and no one was around. 'Oops, must've fallen asleep again,' she thought. She put away the book she'd accidentally been using as a pillow, "Good thing I didn't drool on it," she muttered before tottering up to her dormintory.

If you're interested in writing for the Hogwarts Monthly, but are lacking ideas, give me a PM and I'll give you bunches of stuff to write about.
If none of you write something, I'm going to have to be the one to represent the house in writing an article... I would love to write one article, but it would not count for representation for our house. sweatdrop
FYI: You can also partner up for an article.

Kitty sighed defeatedly, "None of my ideas for the Hogwarts Monthly are good enough." At that moment, Rasey flew in through an open window and landed infront of Kitty. "Yay, you have Mom's reply!" she excitedly took off his scroll and read it. Rasey hooted a few times, so Kitty got up and found some of her owl treats for him. "Well as long as you're here, Rasey," she grinned, wrote a note to Ann about those other topics, and gave it to the barn owl. Rasey fluttered across the Common Room, delivered the note, and returned, hooting loudly for more owl treats for his ridiculous misson.

Siobhan stumbled into the common room. It felt like she hadn't slept all month- which was nearly true -but she had exceeded her goal.
Ann was talking- Siobhan didn't catch all of it, but she thought she heard the word "writing."
"Writing? I'm writing!" she said sleepily. "Who's writing? Writing time?" When her head cleared, she was able to process the information and form complete sentences of her own. "Oh, for the school paper? I'll try that! Anything to help Gryffindor win the House Cup!"
((OOC: I'm going to be pretty much out of creativity by May, but if you've got extra ideas, Ann, I'll run with them. I'll send you a PM, okay?
By the way, I've written more than 100 pages in less than 30 days! I'm crazy exhausted! Or maybe I'm just crazy...))
"Ooh, people I haven't met before!" Siobhan noticed the other students, Cazzie, Zack, and Hayden. "Hi! You can call me Von, if you like. I'm a first year. You?"

"Thanks, Kitty, but I'm just tired," Siobhan sighed. "I've been writing after school all month, and on my days off. Maybe I should go get some tea, though. That might wake me up!"

Ann walked in with a bundle of goodies, "I had a bunch of these lying around from my last trip to the kitchens a few weeks ago." She dropped a few boxes of cookies, Chocolate frogs, and all sorts of stuff. Digging inside her bookbag, she brought out multiple bottles of butterbeer and performed a Freezing charm to chill them. She heard that Von needed some tea so she conjured some a jet of boiling water inside a kettle and put a bag of tea leaves in a tea cup.
"Here you go, Von. Its Darjeeling, a very refreshing citrus tea. It should give you some of your energy back." Ann smiled offering the cup to Von and then said to everyone else, "Go ahead and raid the goodies, I had too much." She laughed a little.

"Really, Ann?!" Kitty glomped Ann before grabbing a newly chilled Butterbeer and a few Chocolate Frogs. Kitty glomped Ann again before returning to her seat by Von.

"Ooh, chocolate frogs and tea! The breakfast of champions!" Siobhan joked, taking some of the tea and goodies Ann offered.
"So, Zack, do you play any instruments as well?" Siobhan asked her fellow first year.
